I guess Biden, who we already knew to be an old-school racist ("Boy!"), is now just coming out and admitting his racism. But I have a feeling the Enemy of the People Media will portray this as a "prudent" step to stop a crisis -- the crisis being the rapidly-worsening position of Biden and all the Democrats he is blowing up with his woke incompetence. The Department of Homeland Security announced the plan to bypass long drawn-out environmental reviews in order to expedite border wall construction in Starr County, TX as the administration struggles to handle an ongoing migrant crisis that has strained local and federal resources. The area where construction is planned has seen "high illegal entry," according to authorities. "There is presently an acute and immediate need to construct physical barriers and roads in the vicinity of the border of the United States in order to prevent unlawful entries into the United States in the project areas," Alejandro Mayorkas, the DHS secretary, said in a notice posted on the US Federal Registry. The Democratic administration is picking up where former President Donald Trump left off.Biden's thugged-up CBP immediately issued Lies claiming that this border wall does not violate Biden's previous promise to stop the building of all border walls.
One of Trump's biggest campaign promises was to build a wall along the US-Mexico border and his administration constructed about 450 miles of border barriers between 2017 and January 2021. DHS's decision to build more walls contradicts Biden's previous promise to end the construction. "Building a massive wall that spans the entire southern border is not a serious policy solution," Biden said in a proclamation to stop the building on Jan. 20, 2021.

US Customs and Border Protection argued that the planned construction, which could add up to 20 miles of barriers to the existing wall in the area, does not violate Biden's proclamation.

Many here are still have their heads buried in the sand. They don't really believe there is a problem at the border. By agreeing to build this wall President Biden is admitting that there is a problem and that he has been unsuccessful so far in dealing with it. My feeling on the matter is that a Biden impeachment inquiry is going to get nowhere. A slightly more realistic approach would have been to pursue Mayorkas. Don't aim for the king, aim for his lieutenants.

By agreeing to build this wall President Biden is admitting that there is a problem and that he has been unsuccessful so far in dealing with it. Expect to see a lot of picture of overcrowded shelters filled with recent immigrants around the country, it will no longer be limited to the border states because now the problem has extended beyond there.
you have several activist orgs including immigration activists along with climate groups calling this out expressing their disappointment. And Indy media who's on the left is also calling this out, not only corporate media.

This will require a very special kind of graft.
Building shipping container homes is something I have spent a good amount of time researching and while containers are acquired pretty cheaply, if you want to turn them into livable space the costs run up pretty quickly especially if you want to get into something that meets building code. Trailers - like the FEMA trailers - are much more economical for the purpose.
Though this could be a Pinochet style deal. Hey, illegal migrant, just step in here.... Pack them in like sardines, and ship them to some other location.

There is. We looked into buying a 40ft high cube conex box for 'secure' storage for our remote property. The ones for sale in our area are sketchy- not serviceable but wind and weather tight. We looked at a few and they were trashed. $8500.
Two years ago we could have gotten a one trip(brand new w/lock box) for less.

Actually the legal processes are pretty long and complicated. Biden's junta, when they catch and release them, are simply doing that with a future immigration court date promised to them. That is why the 'refugees' get free cellphones etc. to tell them when to show up for court dates.
US policy prior to the open borders shit was that you applied for refugee status at US diplomatic institutions first or at the border itself. You would have the choice of being detained in the US while the system checked your claim or you could remain outside the US until that was done. There was also parallel federal court actions that could be initiated if the agency made a determination against refugee status.

People don't understand how important it is to know the details about where the money and people are being allocated. A LOT if not all of the increases are for ELL and other illegal immigrant programs. But the real stealth comes when they steal resources by reassigning them to illegals. That usually directly comes from programs intended for kids that are LD or need extra help. That population is getting screwed and a lot of their parents don't even know it. People should always vote on the local school budget and make sure they know what's in it and how they are deploying resources.

My polling place is fairly busy, but I live in the far northeast of Philly where it's pretty nice. I work in a war zone in North Philly, and the polling places are usually scarce. I assume they expect the mayor to vote for them.

We've already seen how it works in Michigan.
Police charge a person, the DA and state gets involved, the FBI takes over because it is their exclusive jurisdiction, and it disappears.
Even the police reports are no longer public record. You've got to request specific FOIA information, which requires knowing the specifics about the incident.

As I have said I was a poll watcher in 2020, in a black residential precinct in Houston, all home owners, no apartments to speak of. There were no early voters in the precinct and only 86 voters showed up on election day. I'm sure the turnout in the Ghettos of Atlanta, Philly, Detroit, and Milwaukee where Biden "won" the election were sky high. At least that is what the ballot count says. What BS.

I was actually being a bit facetious, picking that year based on my years of writing proposals for government contracts. But that may not be far off. Writing the proposal.will take a couple months, even jf they redraft the one from Trumps time. Finding the money will take a couple more. The bidding will take 5-6 months. The selection of the winner is two more months. Now add in all the politicking, because the contracts need to be fixed so the big guy gets his cut.
