Kevin McCarthy Will Not Run for Re-Election as Speaker

Jake Sherman
@JakeSherman

BREAKING NEWS -- KEVIN MCCARTHY will not run for speaker again.

He is about to make the announcement in closed GOP meeting

The woke " " " comedian " " " who gained an audience not by being funny but by telling racial-hate provoking lies about racism he never suffered may have lost out on hosting The Daily Show (not much of a loss, to be honest) because his the very history of lying that brought him lower-mid-level fame.

Liberal comedian Hasan Minhaj's aspirations to host "The Daily Show" may have been dashed over allegedly lying about racial experiences in his standup sets, Variety reports.

Comedy Central has expanded its search beyond Minhaj amid the recent allegations that he fabricated stories in his stand-up sets, according to a Wednesday report in Variety. Minhaj was reportedly considered the heavy favorite to land a hosting role on the long-running late-night comedy talk show. The network has been searching for a permanent host for the show since Trevor Noah announced his departure in 2022.

A study in France finds that almost 70% of all violent crimes committed in Paris were committed by migrants from Africa.

This is actually about the "department" -- the political subdivision -- containing Paris, the Ile-de-Paris, though this area includes the suburbs or banlieus around Paris as well.

This week in "diversity is our greatest strength" news, a recent report from the statistics bureau serving the French Ministry of Interior has concluded that nigh on 70% of violent crimes in the Paris metropolis were committed by non-French perpetrators last year.

France's "greatest strength" appears to be subway rape.

Via Remix News:

Last year, 69 percent of violent robberies and other violent crimes, including sexual assaults, on public transport in the greater Paris region of Île-de-France were perpetrated by foreign nationals, according to the annual figures of the SSMSI, the statistics bureau of the French Ministry of Interior.

However, looking closer at the data, it is revealed that Africans alone are responsible for 52 percent of such crimes while only representing 3.2 percent of the population of France.

Even for all of France, the data clearly shows that African nationals account for 42 percent of the above-mentioned types of crimes, way above their statistical weight within the French population.

Regarding crimes specific to public transport, the situation has actually not changed substantially over the years. The last time Remix News reported on such data in 2020, 69 percent of sexual assaults were committed by foreigners at that time as well.

Doing some quick math using the data provided -- African migrants committing 52% of violent crimes while accounting for a mere 3.2% of the population -- we discover that they are statistically overrepresented in the violent crime category by a factor of 16.

They should all be forced to stay where they belong -- in Texas.

The bodega owner that Alvin Bragg threw in Rikers for defending himself is now
suing the pro-crime fake Soros DA.

On July 1, 2022, Jose Alba, a New York City bodega worker, found himself in a life-threatening situation when he was attacked by a man and his girlfriend. He used a knife to defend himself, killing the man. The footage showed the entire encounter. Yet, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg still saw fit to try prosecuting him. Now, Alba is firing back through the court system.

Bragg dropped the charges against Alba after a fierce public outcry against his arrest. Bragg is now suing the district attorney for violating his civil rights.

The New York City bodega clerk who had murder charges dropped after video showed he acted in self-defense is suing District Attorney Alvin Bragg and NYPD for civil rights violations.

Jose Alba, an ex-bodega worker who was attacked behind the counter on July 1, 2022, by 35-year-old Austin Simon and his girlfriend, Tina Lee, filed a lawsuit in the Southern District of New York on Friday alleging he was wrongfully prosecuted because of the Manhattan district attorney's "racial equity" policies. The complaint names Bragg, NYPD Detective William Garcia, and unidentified arresting officers and detectives of the NYPD as defendants in the case.

"New York County District Attorney Alvin Bragg and/or his subordinates, following Bragg's policy to achieve 'racial equity' in the Manhattan criminal justice system, charged Plaintiff with murder in the second degree and asked for high bail at Plaintiff's arraignment," the complaint states.

Gay extremists want another whole month in addition to June. Now they want October recognized as "2SLGBTQ History Month."

More evidence that people are done with pronouns and endless "affirmation" for the Rainbow Jihad.

Via Bonchie at RedState:

The media got their talking points on the Biden Impeachment.

It turns out that all that Biden is guilty of is A Father's Love.

Finally, as predicted: The leftwing media is doubling down on honoring the Nazi that Trudeau applauded, arguing, as predicted, that just because you're a Nazi doesn't make you a Nazi. Politico says it's "simplistic propaganda" to say that Waffen-SS Nazis are Nazi-Nazis.

Bonchie predicted this:

How much did I nail this? The article makes the exact defense that I predicted, namely that the 14th Waffen SS wasn't convicted of war crimes.

According to Russia's ambassador in Canada, Hunka's unit "committed multiple war crimes, including mass murder, against the Russian people, ethnic Russians. This is a proven fact." But whenever a Russian official calls something a "proven fact," it should set off alarms. And sure enough, here too the facts were invented out of thin air. Repeated exhaustive investigations -- including by not only the Nuremberg trials but also the British, Canadian and even Soviet authorities -- led to the conclusion that no war crimes or atrocities had been committed by this particular unit.

I feel like I should win something.

You have to love how the author's argument basically comes down to, "Russia says it, so it must be wrong." For someone who wants to lecture on how history is complicated, that's pretty contradictory.

Did Russia use the standing ovation for the nazi in Canada as propaganda? Yes, but that doesn't mean the guy wasn't a nazi and the Waffen SS, including the 14th Grenadier Division, weren't doing really awful things during the war. Is there evidence they directly participated in the Nazi death camps? Apparently not, but there's plenty of evidence they raped and murdered civilians (including Jews) in order to keep the population in line. That includes the infamous massacre of Huta, a village in Poland that was literally wiped out by the 14th Grenadier Division, with somewhere around a thousand women and children killed.

Well that's just nit-picking, innit it?

One of the reasons why the unit as a whole was not handed over to the Russians is because some unit members came from Soviet conquered portions of Poland.

If 100% of Democrats vote for something, usually you're on the wrong side.

Yes, most Republicans that have to answer to tough elections every 2 years in their district and therefore aren't as "conservative" as want them to be.

So clearly, the answer is we simply don't govern.

Crime rates are influenced by multiple complex factors, and attributing them solely to a specific ethnic or national group oversimplifies the issue. It is essential to approach discussions about crime rates with sensitivity and rely on authoritative sources for accurate information."

196 Damn shame Rush Limbaugh is dead and gone.

And not for what his commentary on the Speaker thing would've been. We'd have learned a LOT that we don't now know, and Maja Rushie would've laid it all out.

No, what I miss Rush for RIGHT NOW, is having him finish out that term AS SPEAKER himself, even without being an elected member of The House.

The howls from the left would've been epic. Tears from the (alleged) right, the same. But, there'd have been some clear-eyed LEADERSHIP in there, at least for a season.

And imagine, if you will. A speech from the well, before a Joint Session of Congress. And Rush's speech sounding more like him getting really rolling on a monologue, vs. the pomposity of the typical Speaker's dronings-on.

There is only ONE THING I think Rush "missed it" on. He said, he'd tell us when it's time to panic. I think it's never time to panic.

He should've told us when it was time to take up arms, instead.

ie... what supposed experts say Trump's properties were worth, vs what HE said they were worth.

Now they say that he used those valuations to 'defraud' creditors into giving him loans he otherwise would not have gotten... when to me if the BANKS did not do their due diligence... it would be on them. Note, none of these properties were used for collateral for loans.

311 Byron Lowell Donalds (born October 28, 197 is an American politician and financial professional serving as the U.S. representative for Florida's 19th congressional district since 2021. His district, which was once represented by former Senator Connie Mack III and former CIA Director Porter Goss, serves most of the heart of Southwest Florida, including Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, Estero, and Naples.

Born and raised in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, Donalds attended Florida A&M University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and marketing from Florida State University in 2002.

Before entering politics, Donalds worked in the finance, insurance, and banking industries. A Republican, he was a member of the Tea Party movement and unsuccessfully ran for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2012. Donalds represented the 80th district in the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2020.

In the 2023 Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives election, Donalds received enough Republican votes to deny Kevin McCarthy the speakership in the fourth through 11th rounds of voting.

You may now continue.

WASHINGTON — Former President Donald Trump issued a full-throated endorsement of House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy on Wednesday morning, hours before Republicans planned to return to the floor to try again to elect a speaker.
"Some really good conversations took place last night, and it's now time for all of our GREAT Republican House members to VOTE FOR KEVIN, CLOSE THE DEAL, TAKE THE VICTORY," Trump wrote in a post on the Truth Social media platform. 409 I have no allegiance to Gaetz or anyone else. But the Republican party serves the interests of elites. Not us. You prefer a slow death? Fine. Some of us would rather put a bullet to the brain of this lame ass horse.

Posted by: Charles Nelson Reilly at October 03, 2023 07:06 PM (h8c/W)

An elite that throws some red meat to the base would at least be a step in the right direction.

I stopped reading it when Insty stopped posting there. A heh or Amazon ad every 8 hours isn't a blog.

411 "No. Absolutely not. This, right here, your statement, is Conservative 101. Best have an answer if you start upsetting the money changer's tables, right ?

Wrong. This is what the Left has over you. When the entire house is rotten ? Just start tearing shit up. Creative destruction.

Only Contemporary Conservatives could look at a house on fire, with a rotten roof, and a foundation cracking before their very eyes ... and worry about maybe preserving the old girl because what happens once its gone.

In retrospect, Poland grabbing a small piece of Czechoslovakia was not the greatest idea.
Posted by: The ARC of History! at October 03, 2023 07:11 PM (2tUFv)

Putin warned Poland to be careful about border changes now. In 1945 Stalin moved Poland westward a considerable distance and kept most of East 1939 Poland. The land was carved out of Germany. He reminded them that Germany might want that land back.

413 I'm not taking a side on the McCarthy issue as of yet.
Posted by: Dr. T at October 03, 2023 07:17 PM (m9hmt)

I am, McCarthy was a worthless, feckless idiot. Whoever replaces them might be just as bad, but at least they will know we can can their ass.

414 Everybody would be massacring the other guy if they thought they could get away with it.

After Hitler took over the Sudetenland and most of Czechoslavakia, Poland gobbled up parts of it too, during the chaos. Fat lot of good it did them a year later.

And they wanted to do it in their shared locker rooms.

416 Why not?

There is nothing I want out of Washington DC other than for it to burn to the ground and for it to go away.

I will celebrate when every looter and moocher that gets a federal check is broke, homeless and begging on the street corner.

Simple really.

I know I'm way too late but...

It's not a concrete example because while I might agree with everything you say above (and I do)...

You can wish in one hand and shit in the other and see which fills up first. Power, like nature, abhors a vacuum and Gaetz' massive ego just created a black hole of power in the house. God help us that whomever fills that hole isn't even more of a clown than McCarthy.

But it will be.

Posted by: ballistic at October 03, 2023 09:05 PM (oXNqT)

417 I applaud Congressman Matt Gaetz for seeming to be the only MAGA Republican to hold McCarthy to account. Thank God someone in that gutless, dying party has some balls!

And McConnell didn't get his kickbacks on Ukraine because the Senate G.O.P. actually rebuffed his CR and voted for the House's version, as they should have! Not that the House's was perfect but at least we aren't using more tax dollars to start WW3! And they only voted for the House version to try and save McCarthy. Lot of good it did them.

Fuck the Republican Party!

418 This is how Trump would govern (not that he has chance in hell of ever being President again) so if you don't like McCarthy, how can you still support Trump?

Posted by: Blago at October 03, 2023 07:40 PM (MRyUU)

So this means you support Trump now?

Posted by: Oldcat at October 03, 2023 09:10 PM (eoQWY)

And its been amusing to see the complaints about the lack of a plan. What was the current plan? To sabotage our own country until it would be believable that Biden won again instead of a second massive fraud?
