Grifting Obamas: Michelle Obama Charged $750,000 For a Single One-Hour Speech

Former first lady Michelle Obama has reportedly walked away with nearly $750,000 after giving a one-hour speech on diversity and inclusion in Germany on Monday.
The 59-year-old former lawyer spoke to an estimated 5,000 attendees on how to "push past self-doubt while discussing the importance of inclusivity and diversity." at the annual Bits and Pretzels forum in Munich -- a start-up event held on the sidelines of the annual Oktoberfest beer festival, according to the event website.

For her speech, Obama was paid 700,000 euros, which is roughly equivalent to $741,000, two unidentified sources close to the conference organizers told the Daily Mail.
Organizers told the outlet that the former first lady "topped the list" of people whom participants wanted to hear from "year after year."
"They really pulled out all the stops to get her," one person close to the team told the Daily Mail, adding: "It's one of the highest fees that they have ever paid."

Michelle Obama could usually be booked for speaking arrangements for $200,000, while her husband would cost $400,000, Axios reported in 2017.

But the former first lady seems to be earning more money amid speculation that she could be named the Democratic nominee for president.

I wouldn't take the fact that she's collecting all this money as a sign that she is not running for president. Hillary Clinton got bad press not because she was taking huge sums for her non-existent wisdom, but for the specific people who were pouring money into her bank account: filthy rich oligarch Wall Streeters and institutional bankers. Basically, the Democrat base that Democrat Party pretends they're the enemy of.

If Michelle Obama is talking about Muh Diversity in Germany, even for $15,000 per minute, she'll probably get away with it.

I think that the strategy that the Democrats have hit on is to let the meaningless primary process play out, and then parachute in a replacement for Biden at the convention.

In my house growing up, my dad brought home the bacon and my my mom ran the household (and worked part-time). On big-ticket stuff and decisions - new furniture, cars, getting a different house, changing retirement schemes, etc. - they came to an agreement. On everything else, my mom ran the business that was the family. This is not weird to me at all.

This forum is mostly people who voted for Donald Trump, who had NO government experience at all (or foreign policy experience, or military service, or anything else outside of building gaudy hotel towers). That these same people who rabidly voted for the worst president in at least a century are complaining about Michelle Obama's "experience" is particularly rich.

Discussion of Michelle's experience echo the same complaint about her husband back in 2008. "He's just a junior senator! He doesn't have enough experience!" This was common back then, and he did a spectacular job as our commander in chief. Complaints about his - or Michelle's, if she decides to run - "experience" is a barely-coded racist dogwhistle.

Inexperienced presidents can be great like Obama or disastrous like Trump. But somehow the accusation of "inexperience" is leveled only at black leaders. That is not a coincidence, and it is not an accident. It underscores how deep the problem is.

In my house growing up, my dad brought home the bacon and my my mom ran the household (and worked part-time). On big-ticket stuff and decisions - new furniture, cars, getting a different house, changing retirement schemes, etc. - they came to an agreement. On everything else, my mom ran the business that was the family. This is not weird to me at all.

Every single Democrat who worked to make elections less secure in places like AZ, PA, GA (well, Republicans there because Raffensperger is a piece of shit), and MI have increased their power, entrenched the changes, and outright broken laws (like PA in 2022 sending out 250,000 mail in ballots they shouldn't have or AZ using signature verification so bad that the courts struck it down...10 months after the election), all while getting away with it.

Who is going to stop Hobbs and Fontes from just doing it all again in AZ?

Wisconsin for one which banned drop boxes and fired their corrupt election coordinator.

Trump won Wisconsin in 2016 and barely lost thanks to unmanned drop boxes and no ballot security. That has changed.
