Another Informant Gave the FBI Information About Joe Biden's Bribery Operations -- And the FBI Responded by Shutting That Informant Down

It's almost as if the FBI is not a neutral law enforcement agency but rather a lawless Stasi focused on targeting, harassing, and imprisoning the political enemies of The Regime.

A retired FBI supervisor has revealed to Congress that the bureau's Washington field office had a second "politically connected" informant providing information relevant to the Biden family investigation, but was asked to shut down the source in the fall of 2020 shortly before Joe Biden was elected president, Just the News has learned.

Retired Special Agent Timothy Thibault, the former No. 2 supervisor in the FBI's Washington field office, told the House Judiciary Committee last week in a transcribed interview he was somewhat taken aback when he received the request from the lead agent in the Hunter Biden tax case in October 2020 to shut down the confidential human source (CHS).

"It shocked me a bit because I'm, like, the purpose of -- a confidential informant is to support a case," Thibault told investigators in portions of a transcript reviewed by Just the News.

Thibault did not further identify the source in his testimony, but best-selling author Peter Schweizer told Just the News Sunday that he believes he is the person described in the transcript based on past comments from Thibault and after The New York Times recently suggested the FBI had received information in the Hunter Biden case from a "right-wing author."

Schweizer said the FBI approached him and he provided to agents evidence about possible criminality in fall 2020. He said there was no politics involved, just facts and he pushed back on the narrative of the Times, noting its journalists reported on the Hillary Clinton-funded Steele dossier submitted to the FBI in 2016.

"There are no 'right wing facts' or 'left wing facts.' There are only facts," he said. "And of course they happily accepted the unsubstantiated and unsourced dossier from Hillary Clinton's lawyer without reservation."

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan summoned Thibault for the interview as he investigates allegations that U. S. Attorney, David Weiss and is team did not follow normal investigative procedures when probing Hunter Biden and his family's overseas business dealings.

...

Two IRS whistleblowers have already delivered blockbuster testimony to House investigators earlier this summer that they and FBI agents were blocked from asking questions about Joe Biden, and from acquiring a search warrant for Hunter Biden's storage locker or Joe Biden's guest house where evidence was suspected to be located. The IRS agents said they were thwarted from questioning Hunter Biden when the Biden transition team was tipped off to their plan to interview the first son.

In addition, Grassley has disclosed an FD-1023 informant report showing that the FBI was alerted to bribery allegations by a confidential human source. That source alleged that Joe and Hunter Biden may have received $10 million in payments for helping to deal with a Ukrainian prosecutor probing the Burisma Holdings gas firm that paid Hunter Biden millions.

...

Thibault's testimony raises the prospect that a second informant also brought information to the FBI before the 2020 presidential election and was also walled off.

Meanwhile, Kevin McCarthy says that the House will subpoena nine Biden Crime Family figures.

"Are there plans to subpoena any other family members? Because according to the Republicans, family members accepted money from --" Bartiromo asked.

"Well, it looks to me like nine Biden family members got money. I want to see bank statements. I think they'd have to come before us to answer the questions," McCarthy said. The Speaker said the inquiry gives Congress the legal ability to get bank and credit card statements and force Biden family members to answer questions.

Hunter has others pay for his messes--buy his paintings, and so on. A big time lawyer in LA paid millions to settle Hunter's taxes and penalties from the IRS for example. It is more than that. By and large, the bureaucrats believe they are 'special' people and they actively dislike the people they are 'serving' and paying their salaries. You see the same thing at the upper reaches in most organizations, public or private. The top people often personally despise the very people on whose work they depend upon.

48 No evidence of corruption, if we have anything to say about it.

Posted by: The FBI at September 18, 2023 12:20 PM (Eedny)

49 In East Germany, nobody who had knowledge of Erich Honecker's criminality or corruption would ever have considered walking into the Stasi headquarters and offering his information to the cops working there. He would not have done this for two reasons:

1. He would have known that this was not the Stasi's purpose. It was not there as a legitimate police agency, it was there was there to enforce political objectives and directives and keep an eye on people who might not be totally with the program. Investigating or prosecuting actual crime was not the Stasi's job. Spying on and punishing the people and protecting the rulers was the Stasi's job.
2. If he did, the odds are very good that the Stasi would have imprisoned or murdered him instead of investigating Honecker.

So why do people go to the FBI with information about or evidence of the corruption of top officials and those in their orbits? This is not the FBI's job any more than it was the Stasi's. Have people really, somehow, not figured this out yet?

Not taxable to the recipient. The recipient can receive as much as he'd like. The tax burden is on the giver of the gift. It comes out of the pool of the estate tax exemption. When you give a gift over IRS limits, you either pay the gift tax on it *or* reduce the tax-free exemption for your estate. If you have no more tax-free exemption (you already used it up and your estate is now fully taxable), then you owe the gift tax. The giver, not the recipient.

Gotta love it, eh?

I once got an IRS letter claiming I had a deficiency of around $5k on my taxes from the prior year, and now owed them around $7k. I had to respond - either with cash or an objection - by the deadline. The deadline was 72 hours after I received the letter, and less than two weeks after the latter was postmarked.

My tax guy and I went through it (I knew immediately what had happened) and filed an amended return that showed that I had actually overpaid and the IRS owed me about $400. They accepted the amendment. I was paid the refund about 90 days later.

And they wonder why people hate them so much.

McCarthy will do it. He will haul in Biden family members to testify. They will lie. He will demand documents from the executive branch. Most of them will not be delivered. Those that are will redacted and result in ambiguity.
The sound bites will great.

Donations will flow.

While this is distracting everyone, a mega omnibus CR will be passed (or a "minibus" complex of CRs with the same net effect) that reduces funding for nobody and increases it for most.

Then the inquiries will wrap up with a lot more sound bites about how nasty the Biden family is, but that there is not enough to move forward because of the executive's obstruction. But their hands are tied, so c'est la vie.

Worse, her stockbroker who was insider trading himself was given the ultimatum to give up Martha or he went to PITA prison. They did not prosecute Martha on the alleged insider trading but claimed that the difference between Martha's statement and their stool pigeon star 'witness' on formal statements between her and that witness on trivial matters constituted her crime.

Arguably under the statute, materiality matters but essentially the FBI has criminalized disagreement with their stool pigeons constitutes the offense. Don't like Martha much but that was bullshit and btw, Martha, way back when, was a stockbroker at one time and obviously to get a license had to know what constituted insider trading.

CBS is all cops, all the time.

Out of 32 current prime time programs:
- 3 cop shows ("Blue Bloods," "SWAT," "CSI: Vegas")
- 4 FBI shows ("FBI," "FBI: International," "FBI: Most Wanted," "The FBI Declassified")
- 2 other federal cop shows ("NCIS," "NCIS: Hawaii")
- 3 other law/justice shows ("48 Hours," "Bull," "Matlock")
- 1 military show ("SEAL Team")

So 9/32 - 28% of the entire lineup - is directly about cops. Of those, 2/3 of them are about federal cops.
12/32 - 37.5% of the entire lineup - is about cops, lawyers or "true crime."

This is more than any other category - more than current events, reality shows, other dramas, game shows, comedies.

CBS is the cop channel, and specifically the Feds channel.

Posted by: huerfano

Pournelle's Iron Law of Bureaucracy: In any bureaucratic organization there will be two kinds of people":

First, there will be those who are devoted to the goals of the organization. Examples are dedicated classroom teachers in an educational bureaucracy, many of the engineers and launch technicians and scientists at NASA, even some agricultural scientists and advisors in the former Soviet Union collective farming administration.

Secondly, there will be those dedicated to the organization itself. Examples are many of the administrators in the education system, many professors of education, many teachers union officials, much of the NASA headquarters staff, etc.

The Iron Law states that in every case the second group will gain and keep control of the organization. It will write the rules, and control promotions within the organization.

Romney was a posing POS well before Trump. I remember his severely conservative monicker in 2008, his refusal to run for reelection as governor of Mass because he would get beat, and his resentment over his dad screwing up his presidential run in 1968. Romney's dad was a POS politician as well and is responsible to some degree for Detroit becoming a shithole.

There is a perpetual conceit that Republican nepots posing as entrepreneurs make great candidates. They don't by and large because nepots inevitably buy into whatever bullshit the current Uniparty is pushing.

Looking back over my life as a voter, I don't think, for the most part, elections for big offices have mattered much. This sounds cynical, but I think people, powerful people with a lot of money, have been moving the US and the world to where we are now.
And a lot of these very wealthy people are kind of invisible. Klaus Schwab, for all his Bond-like villain appearances, is just a puppet for these people. When his usefullness declines, he will be discarded for some other puppet.
To paraphrase Samuel Clemens from another time.."If voting really mattered, they wouldn't let us do it"

Possible. Tagg ran his father's campaign as a key advisor in 2008 but then went into creating hedge funds using Mitt's donor and friend's network along with a slug of Pop's money as the starting yeast before the 2012 election rolled around and stayed out of formal participation in that campaign. Now he runs several funds and Mitt joined up after losing in 2012 and stepped down just before running for Senate in 2018. Now, how much info useful to a hedge fund flows through a US Senator's possession do you think.

From direct personal experience working on the House floor back in the day, I knew quite early on that you had the inside traders, druggies and alkies, the sex freaks, the snobs, and so on as our elected representatives.

Only difference is today with cameras everywhere, the general public gets to see what I did. Twas always thus as people not willing to take risks don't ever run for office much.
