The Bush Clan gets A Nice Sharp Stick To The Eye!

Texas AG Ken Paxton Acquitted on All 16 Articles of Impeachment

"This is a political trial," Mr. Buzbee said. "I would suggest to you it's a political witch hunt. [...] The Bush-era in Texas ends today."

2 The worthlessness of the GOP can be measured in the years it has taken to de-Bush the party (and the mission is still not accomplished).

Wow.
@LtGovTX

@DanPatrick
currently BLASTING the Texas House for jamming through articles of impeachment to the Senate without a proper investigation in the first place.

Patrick is calling to AMEND the Texas Constitution to strengthen impeachment procedures so this type of sham never happens again!

"Millions of taxpayer dollars have been wasted on this impeachment!"

He beat the heir apparent George P. Bush in 2022, sued along with other states in 2020 for Scotus to stop the steal, and so on.

Basically Paxton has been at the lead of most of the state AG's in suing the fedgov for its misdeeds as well.

He then was managing general partner for five years.[45] He actively led the team's projects and regularly attended its games, often choosing to sit in the open stands with fans.[46] Bush's sale of his shares in the Rangers in 1998 brought him over $15 million from his initial $800,000 investment.[47]"

I would put it more like about ten to fifteen percent--maybe as much as McCain got which was about 19 percent of the primary vote. There is a generational gap as well--probably due as much to media sources as from insulation from troubles.

But, these are the people that have enough leisure and wealth to be a majority of the donors and party officials of GOP and they feel that the peasant class is obliged to obey them.

Notice all the little donor stroke gifts that Ronna gave to big donors and staff after raising big bucks to challenge the election in 2020 which they never spent on that.

The indictment stays for political reasons even though Paxton continually demands a trial. (That he knows in all likelihood he will win easily.). Reminds me how my wife and I were served with temporary restraining order (TRO) paperwork. The TROs weren't ordered against us, but a court hearing date was set. Why? Because it was expedient for a party in a lawsuit to do so so he could write to the court that TROs had been filed against me and my wife. Didn't matter that by the time that paperwork was filed with the court, the TROs had been rejected (just for the fact that we had no contact at all, except in court with the person being "protected" by the TROs).
It's all political gamesmanship. Smear by implication was the game.
