How many fish can this medium-sized bird eat? The answer will surprise you! Note that at the end his neck is bulging -- the fish are just stacked up in his entire digestive tract, all the way up his throat. This bird, by the way, looks a lot like I do after I pick up a Taco Bell 12-pack. I'm not bragging. I'm crying for help.

But what if... what if.. you paired this twankery with the vocal scrumulescence of The Bruce Dickinson?

Well, you would get Dragon Force, The Fire and The Flame as sung by the man himself.

I see the same phenomenon with Blue Jays and Doves.

I once counted about 20+ peanuts and/or peanut halves eaten by one bird to the point the nuts were tumbling out of its beak. And for the dove, it was about one hundred and twenty safflower seeds at one time.

Polling conducted in August by my organization, All In Together, in partnership with polling firm Echelon Insights found that 34 percent of women aged 18-39 said they have “decided not to get pregnant due to concerns about managing pregnancy-related medical emergencies.” Put another way, poor or unavailable maternal healthcare post-Dobbs is leading a third of women to alter one of their most important life choices.

114 re: when the storm comes:

At the opposite end of the scale... many years ago (say 50) I was walking down a 2-lane dirt road in American Samoa, and on this extremely hot, windless and perfectly sunny day I was suddenly covered by a cooling shadow.

I reflexively looked straight up, and saw a tiny white cloud moving slowly in the same direction I was walking. Then I heard a soft pitter-pattering, and saw a splattering of rain was moving along the road, coming from behind me. The droplets were barely putting up little dust puffs, but I stepped off the road, and it passed. It was no wider than the road.

I watched it for perhaps 20 seconds, and then it stopped. I looked up, and the cloud was gone.

I have asked myself so many times since... on an insufferably hot day, why did I step off the road and not enjoy the refreshing sprinkle?

Not 1 piece of evidence proving AG @KenPaxtonTX committed a crime has been presented by his accusers

First we learned that the junior lawyers reporting Texas AG @KenPaxtonTX to the FBI didn’t have any evidence

Now we learn that the prosecution’s star witness, who wrote an entire memo detailing what he believed were Ken Paxton’s misdeeds, tried to **apply for a job with Ken after the memo** (!!)

This was either political extortion to get a high paying job, or he didn’t actually believe his own memo

Otherwise why would he try to work for a supposed “criminal”?

This reeks of a RINO setup and I’m glad it’s being exposed for the political ambush it is

The only vehicle I want is a 4Runner but unfortunately Toyota does not let you custom order vehicles, and getting a 4Runner anywhere near MSRP is simply not going to happen.

Yeah, the 4Runner is pretty much the best vehicle the market today and they hold their value remarkably well.

If I had to do it all over, I would have bought a 4Runner instead of a Wrangler.

But on the pluses and minuses, the Wrangler has been an awesome vehicle.

The hypothesis is that the used vehicles are 1) available and 2) optioned the way people want. That's not the case with the few new cars that are on the lot or probably a lot of the order-able ones. A few months ago he said he'd asked a Honda dealer about ordering a car a certain way and was told they weren't doing that right now, that it was whatever was being shipped over was what was for sale.

Also, what some of the Toyota dealerships are doing is requiring a non-refundable deposit of at least $500 to get you in line for a vehicle. You don't have to buy any vehicle they offer to you but, as I said, the deposit is non-refundable.

Their rationale is that they are doing work to try to find you a vehicle and should be compensated for their time and trouble doing the normal things a salesman does.

Manufacturers are pumping out high level, high dollar trims if they are pumping out anything at all.

Toyota basically has nothing in the US and the low level of inventory is probably going to stay that way for the forseeable future as the margins they make in the US market are substantially less than everywhere else in the world.

Not only that, but if you buy a car at one dealership but have been talking to another dealership, the first dealership gets a notice from Toyota Motors that you are trying to two time them.

I got lucky, the first dealership didn't want to return my deposit but the showroom was full and the normally reticent Mrs. TP was starting to raise her voice. Honestly, I did not remember anyone telling me the deposit was non-refundable BUT, they showed me where I signed and right above it in red was 'Non-refundable'.

Totally my bad.

one could probably use one of the car's data ports (for troubleshooting) and come up with their own. And use their own camera instead of the one the company provides. Would have to come in under the cost of the subscription for x months to be viable.

There are also probably date codes, etc. inside those chips, so they know how old they are. Also ink counts, to guestimate how much ink is left, reprogrammed into those encrypted chips. So the printer might just decide the cartridge is "too-old" to use.

Ford supposedly makes $10-13K profit per truck for the current model. If true (and I have no idea how much accounting smoke and mirrors go into that number), that means it costs Ford in excess of $40k to build each truck. Yikes.

261 When estimating Factory Profit on a vehicle, you can nail down the cost TO the Dealership, by a careful review of the Factory Invoice.

The delta between the MSRP and Invoice is NOT the Dealer Cost.

Because you've also got to deduct for Dealer Holdback.

And then if there are Factory Bonus Programs (such as Stair Step bonuses paid on Units Sold), this lowers the dealer cost, even further.

Okay, so now you're down to the very LOWEST effective number that the Dealer is "out of pocket" to put that unit on the lot.

THAT is the number, from which you calculate the FACTORY profit margin.

The Factory does not make a dime more than Dealer Net, even if McThief Ford charges $1k over MSRP.
