Packing cat.

Mastermind cat.

Chicken Wrangler in Training Pants.

This puppy is already 14 years old.

I wonder what this dog is trying to communicate.

Dog pwns cat.

Dog plays fetch with a... tire.

High definition TV can be injurious to your mental health.

This is the place for me. I wonder if they get good internet.

A candid video of a Cafe commenter.

My turn!

Uh-oh, looks like the snow-bats are making a move against Duncanthrax.

13 Uh-oh, looks like the snow-bats are making a move against Duncanthrax.

After last night's Big Penguin disinformation debacle, I would have thought there would be more fact-checking. My sources say that commenters who have emailed other commenters who trade emails with some of the CoBs report serious concern with the damage done to the blog's intergalactically-famous Disinformation Expert's reputation over the disinformation they slipped into last night's Café.

But Duncanthrax, you say, what can we, normal people, do against the pernicious and perverted disinformation of Big Penguin when they can fool such a distinguished disinformation expert such as Ace his own self?

The answer is, unfortunately, not much, except to remain ever vigilant against the never-ending polymorphic perversity of Big Penguin in all its forms, particularly when they attempt to disguise it as "snow bat".

Stay vigilant. Stay strong!

36 The fact that Wojtek the Bear was Poland's official secret weapon in World War 2 may explain why 25% of Poland's population was murdered by the Nazis and Russians during the War. I note this as one of Polish extraction.

Completely unrelated, I finally watched the movie "Sisu" the other day, and am delighted to report that it was all kinds of over-the-top Finnish awesome. And, the lead actor and one of the actors playing a Nazi were both main actors in both "Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale" as well as the underappreciated Samuel L. Jackson vehicle "Big Game". Apparently there are only two really good actors in Finland and they are father and son.

I ran it as a part time projectionist when it first opened in a General Cinema theater. It really needs to be seen on the big screen. The 60ft screen back then was great for movies like that, along with the Dolby sound with surrounds. I came back on my night off with the wife to watch it in the audience. That was a 800 seat house and the place was packed every night. Seeing it in a theater like that makes all the difference in the world. Especially with an audience. No matter how large your flat screen TV is, you're still looking "at it". With that large theater screen, you're part of it. Still one of my favorites.

108 I'm admittedly unsophisticated but I thought Alien was anything but "meh". Still a favorite of mine.

It's not a matter of sophistication, it just seemed to me to be an endless series of obvious impending jump scares, and people about to die. I was bored.

Just messin' with y'all, I can't twerk in any direction.

Nobody remembers that state rep who twerked upside down in a campaign commercial? Sad to say it was indelible in my hippocampus. The thread with the OnlyFans candidate or whatever reminded me of that.

Just hope Chris Christie doesn't hire the same campaign strategist.

111 Alien is, in my opinion, one of the finest horror films ever made. But it got dressed up as sci-fi because it involves a spaceship.

One of my favorites because it's real. It shows the motivations of people, even when faced with a non-normal threat. You still see Dallas making moves because he needs to stay in charge. Ripley is losing her fucking mind because everyone around her isn't. Parker and Brett just want paid.

It's a fantastic movie. Even without the jump scares. It's a study in human nature.

143 Event Horizon was *almost* a really good movie, and there's a tale about how it was made. It started off as a serious, intellectual science fiction story about encountering a singularity. Halfway through, the Producers decided it was BORING so they fired the first production team, and hired one that decided to make a pure horror movie.
But they didn't have enough budget to reshoot everything, so in the end they just jammed the two completely different halves together and called it a wrap.

160 Can't believe people said Boston was better than Aerosmith. Of course, neither of them are top shelf but at least Aerosmith did more than do exactly one sound and basic song. I don't really consider late periods important cause for some reason rockers don't do anything great usually after 35 UNLESS they get better at playing the stuff they wrote when young but even then a small amount of the Aerosmith stuff was decent and not like what they did in their prime
