The Morning Report — 9/6/23

medalof horror.jpg

Good morning, kids. The old saw In vino veritas I think can be tweaked for Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants as In dementia veritas. I think whatever internal regulator that allowed him to fake sincerity, and barely at that, for the past 50-plus years to succeed politically has been completely erased, allowing the full, ugly, real criminal scumbag pervert to reveal himself. How the hell else can you explain this shocking debasement from yesterday?

[So-called quote-unquote "president"] Biden was accused of being disrespectful after he quickly exited the East Room of the White House before the conclusion of a Medal of Honor ceremony honoring a Vietnam War veteran on Tuesday.

Biden, 80, abruptly left the ceremony after fastening the nation’s highest military decoration around the neck of retired Army Capt. Larry Taylor, 81, before the closing benediction was read by Chaplain Brig. Gen. William Green Jr.

Military veterans slammed Biden afterward, arguing that the commander in chief showed a startling lack of respect.

“Pardon my French…But what a f—ing idiot. The continuous lack of respect Biden has for anyone is appalling. Hawaii, Service members, active shooter victims, the list goes on,” former Navy SEAL and podcast host Shawn Ryan tweeted after Biden’s hasty exit.

“At least he didn’t check his watch this time,” Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-Texas), an Army veteran, snarked on X, formerly known as Twitter. He was referencing when Biden appeared to glance at his timepiece during a solemn ceremony for the 13 US troops killed in an August 2021 terror attack near the Kabul airport in Afghanistan.

Some questioned whether Biden’s sudden departure was pre-planned or another case of the doddering leader being unsure of where to go after giving public remarks.

“Do you think this was done on purpose or just is it more senile moments? I think the guy is so self-absorbed he makes blunders like this. God this man is a massive embarrassment to our nation,” Gun Owners of America State Director for Indiana Tim Harmsen mused in a tweet.

In the White House’s official video of the ceremony, the feed cuts just after Biden leaves the East Room, also ignoring the chaplain’s benediction.

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe Biden at least in this moment was fully cognizant of what he was doing and just walked out. Everyone who put him in power has an absolute hate on for the country, its people, its culture, history and traditions so that might explain cutting out the chaplain’s benediction. Or were they trying to help Biden save face and make it seem like what he and they did are just standard operating procedure?

Ether way, it's not a good look. When you consider what the Medal of Honor stands for, as well as the decorations representing true merit, achievement and actual legacy of defense of the republic on the uniform of Captain Taylor, and then contrast it with the frou-frou festooned uniform of pale Idi Amin impersonator Mark "Vanilli" Milley, or even pastier fraud/traitor Lt. Col. "Doughboy" Bearclaw Vindman and worst of all, pervert tranny "Rachel" Levine prancing about in a female admiral's uniform, and what all three of them represent, what Biden did makes absolute sense (as an aside, Milli and Levine were teammates on a high school football team).

Merit, achievement, duty and self-sacrifice – everything that is intentionally and now ruthlessly being purged and eviscerated from every aspect of our society. Most glaringly and dangerously in the military because of its traditional place of reverence in the hearts and minds of true Americans. Daniel Greenfield's latest piece underscores how in the name of diversity that institution (in particular the Air Force), a key pillar of America has been hijacked and debased to the point of leaving us vulnerable abroad and at home, while inculcating the notion that the main threat to our national security are the very people and institutions right here at home the military swears an oath to protect.

Actually, the sub headline is kind of a brilliant little truth nuke:

"If diversity makes us stronger, why does it require lower standards?"

I'll have to remember that one and use it on a Lefty until the smoke comes out his ears and he shrieks "Norman! Coordinate!" in a Tourette's-like attack.

Thank you, Emperor Obama. Let's face it; that dog-eating rat-bastard has been running the show behind the scenes since Biden was installed. Then again, between 2009 and 2016, the question was who was running Obama? Meh, does it really make a difference? The things that Obama believes as sacred truths – above all that America and what it stands for is "The Great Satan" – have driven the policies and actions, wherever they came from, that have destroyed whatever was left of America as founded that was preserved and functioning up until 2020.

There's nothing standing in their way now. It's why I have virtually zero faith that the 2024 election will be even minimally fair and unrigged enough that Trump or whoever is the nominee to stand a chance at beating Joey or whoever their nominee might be.

This is not a game anymore. These people mean business:

Former Proud Boys Leader Enrique Tarrio received 22 years in federal prison on Tuesday, a record-high sentence for the January 6, 2021, defendants.

Tarrio’s 22-year sentence surpasses Oath Keepers founder Steward Rhodes and former Proud Boys leader Ethan Nordean’s previous record-high 18-year prison sentence.

The 39-year-old was not in Washington, DC, on January 6, 2021, due to his arrest in the city two days prior for allegedly defacing a Black Lives Matter banner. After his arrest, a judge ordered him to leave the nation’s capital, so Tarrio spent the majority of January 6, 2021, at a Baltimore hotel.

However, prosecutors said Tarrio’s absence from the city on that day “does nothing to detract from the severity of his conduct,” because he “was a general rather than a soldier.”

Federal prosecutors said Tarrio is a “gifted communicator who excels at attracting followers” who “used those talents to inflame and radicalize untold numbers of followers, promoting political violence in general and orchestrating the charged conspiracies in particular.”

“To Tarrio, January 6 was an act of revolution,” prosecutors added.

22 years in prison. And he wasn't even in D.C. but miles away in Baltimore. And nowhere did Tarrio or anyone else engage in acts of violence, terrorism or encourage anyone in any way, shape or form to do anything remotely close to overthrowing the government. Not when you consider what Democrat politicians and street thugs did after the 2016 election where the former pressured electors to break the law and not certify their votes in the electoral college and the latter engaged in actual rioting and violence right up until Inauguration day. That's been memory-holed, hasn't it?

You better believe Tarrio was forced to blurt this crap out:

“To the men and women of law enforcement who answered the call that day, I’m sorry,” Tarrio said. “I have always tried to hold myself to a higher standard, and I failed. I failed miserably. I thought of myself morally above others, and this trial has humbled me.”

“I am not a political zealot,” Tarrio added. “When I get back home, I want nothing to do with politics, groups, activism or rallies.”

You can almost see the gun to his head and doing the Jeremiah Denton eye-blinking of "T-O-R-T-U-R-E."

As the article states: "More than 1,100 individuals have been charged in connection with the Capitol riot, and about 300 have been incarcerated." I hope Donald Trump is paying attention to this. If he isn't, he's insane because what they did to Tarrio and what they are doing to hundreds of others is nothing compared to what they have planned for him.

On the latest podcast, CBD and I talked about the bastardization of language in service to the Left's furtherance of their ends and control. The same applies with equal and even greater measure when it comes to the law. If they can turn legitimate, if not vociferous, exercising of First Amendment rights of protest into sedition and treason, if they can turn the 14th Amendment (arguably the most bastardized and abused of all of them) into a means to ban a formidable, perhaps unbeatable-in-a-fair fight political rival from running for office, they can do anything.

And will do anything.

11 Good morning everyone. Thank you J.J.

Devotion of the Month:

The Church dedicates the month of September to Our Lady of Sorrows, also known as Mater Dolorosa (Mother of Sorrows). This devotion recalls the Blessed Virgin Mary’s spiritual martyrdom in virtue of her perfect union with the Passion of Christ. This was her role in salvation history, and what merited her place as the spiritual Mother of all Christians. This is symbolized by a single sword, or seven swords, piercing Mary's suffering heart, as foretold in Simeon's prophecy. Traditionally the Church meditates on the "Seven Sorrows" of our Blessed Mother: the prophecy of Simeon; the Holy Family's flight into Egypt; the loss of the Child Jesus for three days; the meeting of Mary and Jesus as he carried his cross; Jesus' crucifixion and death; Jesus' sacred body taken down from the cross; and Jesus' burial. The feast of Our Lady of Sorrows (Mater Dolorosa) is September 15th.

On the contrary, I think it's all he has left. His long, rich history of lying to portray a veneer of humanity wrapped around a demonic core is responsible for this. He's done it for so long that it's reflexive. If not for his habit of ersatz affability, he'd be spitting at people and chewing on their flesh, randomly hitting people, etc.

He's barely holding together and the cracks - ever deeper and wider - are showing more often, but it's his deeply-ingrained history of pretending to be a person that's allowing the show to go on at all.

Pitch-perfect Maoist public self-denunciation following a struggle session at the hands of Party operatives. The only thing missing is the "big character poster" to go with it - of course, the internet has largely obviated the need for that.

And it achieved its goal: make the counterrevolutionary (real or imagined, demonstrated or asserted) mouth the Party line, swear fealty to the Party's system and exit the realm of public life. Just like the first time around during the Cultural Revolution.

69 There is a lesson here, and it is one repeated in historical texts: We can and should become enraged at arrogant incompetence, raise our fists and voices at the inconceivable injustice, and wonder at how a civilized men could lower themselves to such vice and sin thrown against society and the very foundations of our culture. And wonder still, with red-tinged anger, at how such rotten fruit could be harvested and stored!

And the distillation of our anger is just and righteous, the comparison of today's filth with yesterday's brightness should cause alarm and should make men shocked.

But only for a short while.

Like any response, the first must be sharp and followed by a second then a third and fourth attack on the weakest point of the enemy lines. To be addicted to rage and comfort ourselves with words and deeds designed only to salve our wounded feelings is to give the enemy rest. And the enemy should never rest.

We should make the enemy known, his name is B. Obama and his name should be shouted at press conferences, questions should be asked of his connection to the installed administration.

Never let the enemy rest.

76 Has the White House given an explanation for Biden's bumbling exit yet?

I wonder what they'll say. There are a couple of obvious outs. The most effective one I can think of - and it took maybe 45 seconds of thought - is to run a version of the Bush 43 playbook from 9/11. He was reading books to kids and then left. Immediately. It was because of the attack and he was needed to make some decisions fairly urgently. If I were the White House, I would run this same play.

Biden's counsel was urgently needed because of Issue X (some problem in Ukraine would be a good choice, but there are others) that was unfolding in real time, and so he was instructed via his earpiece to exit immediately following his remarks. This had the appearance of impropriety and disrespect, for which the White House and the Administration deeply apologize. The cutting of the feed was a simple mistake and the White House broadcast operations group has been taken to task for it, and such an issue will not recur. The American People have their deepest apologies for the cutting off of the broadcast and the uncaring appearance of the President. If not for the urgency of Issue X, it would not have happened.

Indeed. The choice was likely, "do as we tell you, recant and repent, exit public life forever, or we'll throw you in a dungeon for the rest of your life and crush your family for three generations" - just like it was in Red China.

Maoist aggression works, at least for a while. Eventually, it goes to far and there's a counter-revolution (like what happened in Red China when cooler heads in the Party saw the writing on the wall and moderated radically after Mao died - including slaughtering the least reformable of the Red Guards), but until that threshold is found, it continues on. Main force and brutal subjugation not just of the opponent but his family is effective for a while.

Which is amusing because there is no conflict. Do I believe that the universe was literally spoken into existence over a six-day period? No, I don't. Do I believe that evolution occurs? Yes, I do. Does that mean that there is no G-d? No, of course not. Someone had to get the party started and that someone may also intervene on occasion.

To look at natural selection or its descendants or to look at physical laws and properties and say, "and this means that there is no G-d" is a false conclusion. You may conclude that if you like, but you cannot demonstrate it at all. Taking the corpus of scientific discovery and interpreting it as a disproof of G-d is just as much an act of faith as its opposite. They just claim it isn't faith, because they're scientists and so think faith is stupid.

Do I believe that the universe was literally spoken into existence over a six-day period?

There's a rock that's 100 miles wide, 100 miles high and 100 miles deep. Every 100 years a little bird comes to sharpen its beak. When the rock has completely worn away, that is one day in God's scheme.

Posted by: Hadrian the Seventh at September 06, 2023 08:43 AM (MoZTd)

152 Which is amusing because there is no conflict. Do I believe that the universe was literally spoken into existence over a six-day period? No, I don't. Do I believe that evolution occurs? Yes, I do. Does that mean that there is no G-d? No, of course not. Someone had to get the party started and that someone may also intervene on occasion.

Not to get into a Crevo discussion, but look at your statement that you do not believe in a six-day creation. By what authority do you make that claim? At least for some believers, the authority of the Scriptures is sufficient. For everyone else, its magical thinking, a lesson in creative writing and make believe.

No one was there to observe the beginnings - except One. We have that narrative. You must have a compelling set of circumstances that doesn't require a whole bunch of biased assumptions to say otherwise.

For example, we both look at the Grand Canyon. One sees millions of dead things covered by mud layers laid down rapidly by water all over the earth, the other says "billions of years". The former points to Genesis 6, the other just makes stuff up.

Madonna really succeeded at becoming a popular "musician" even though are musical abilities were mediocre. Why was she still successful? She was good at marketing and sleeping with the right people.

She wasn't the first "artist" to do it but you see a major change in pop music with her as musical talent becomes less and less important in succeeding into the 90s and 00s (when pop music mostly collapsed).

Taylor is certainly a better singer then Madonna, though she isn't like in the top 100,000 such people in America - but she has the look, and the connections.

Yup. Always has been. He's a cipher, and a front man. ValJar ran the Obama administration. I don't know who's running the Biden administration, but she's probably involved - at least in part.

The problem with this is that you need a *competent* front-man, and Obama was that. He knew who was actually in charge, and helped keep things on course. Biden doesn't, and can't. It's one of the reasons that the consequences of the factional warfare within the Party is so externally apparent. You can have an empty suit at the head of the table, but he needs at least some competence. Biden doesn't, and it's a problem.

Genesis 2 partially recapitulates 1. That is it returns to somewhere earlier in 1 before continuing forward. Recapitulation is a common literary technique in the Old Testament and can lead to confusion if everything is assumed to be described in a purely linear fashion.

Pop is almost always fairly simple and upbeat and fun and not particularly creative or artistically brilliant. Before Tay-Tay (well, contemporaneous, but momentarily much larger), we had Lady GaGa. Before that, we had Britney Spears and the Spice Girls and the era when boy bands ruled the earth. And so on back through time. None of it was great music. All of it was good enough, popular and sold well to young women and girls. Swift has had more staying power in her target market of Millennial women, but even that isn't totally unprecedented (look how long Madonna held on).

I don't think Swift is special in this regard. This happens with every pop star or starlet that has actual star power - and therefore staying power. Swift is a bona fide superstar and has held on like few before her.

The Uke war is exactly one of those "wars of choice" the left used to complain about.

I doubt it. That's not the American Way. The American Way requires the iron gauntlet to be wrapped in a velvet glove, which is what will happen. It's what is happening.

Why go through the pain and backlash of seizures and the like when you can just erode them out? Raise the millage. Reassess aggressively. Make the tax burden untenable until sales are forced or the properties are repossessed to make up for the deficiency. People are forced out, properties turn over, the goal is achieved - and not one jack-booted goon is required. Once-prosperous people simply wake up one day in a 300 square foot efficiency apartment and trudge to the bus stop, wondering how it all went wrong for them, blaming themselves or "society" for their failure to maintain their achievements, and demanding that the government help them - thus ensuring more of the same.

Our system is subtle and, bluntly, brilliant.

Yeah the official answer on this one is very very weak.

If the Big Bang Theory is true, where did the original matter come from? Answer? A "quantum fluctuation". What does that actually mean? They don't know.

And to be clear not only is it perfectly fine for a scientist to say "I don't know" it is what they should be saying when, as here, they don't know.

I think part of my antipathy to jazz is that most of the stars were hideous people: drunks, addicts, mentally ill, wife beaters.

And I can't see much in the music to counter that. I have a lot of recordings conducted by Herbert von Karajan. The beauty of them outweighs the fact that he was an detestable, avaricious, ambitious megalomaniac who used people and threw them away.

Like all real estate, it's local. Some places have no moderating mechanisms in place to defend against it (Florida). Some have robust mechanisms (California) and some are in the middle and err toward moderation (Tennessee) or not (Texas).

Those that have moderation mechanisms need to have those mechanisms stripped out. They try this damn near every cycle in California.

The Batista regime dealt with insurrectionists, shall we say, more harshly. He should have gotten the max sentence for his nefarious treachery. Once again, a sentence BELOW Prosecutors recommendation.
Driving me nuts.
The Trump-appointed judge didn't even split the difference but rather went more toward what the defense proposal was.

The prosecution asked for 33 years. Why not the maximum sentence for blowing up democracy? I saw a report where DOJ was going to try to appeal those sentences. In many of these cases, the motherfuckers go right back to spewing their anti-government bullshit, totally unrepentant.

And (image not posted here but): Getty Images Proud Boys CEO Enrique Tarrio in Charlottesville Unite the Right Rally. New Proud Boys CEO Enrique Tarrio at Unite the Right white supremacist rally in Charlottesville Virginia as counter protesters yell 'F**k you Nazi Trash', Tarrio says, 'You don't know who we are' and blows kiss.

Running low on fuel, with the patrol team nearly out of ammunition, Taylor decided on a bold and innovative plan to extract the team using his two-man Cobra helicopter, a feat that had never been accomplished or even attempted.

I guess it would go something like this,
"No need to get your hands dirty comrade, we will teach you how to organize and pay for criminals to do the dirty work. That is called community organizing."

I did this about a decade ago and never looked back. Not all credit unions are good. Here are two things you can do when selecting a credit union, one easy and one hard.

Hard: look at their financial statements and don't give them your money if they're not very conservative and very strong.
Easy: Walk in and see how it feels, and how your interaction with a teller goes. If it feels like the big bank you're trying to leave, turn around and walk out. There is less than no point to being part of a credit union that's no different from a big bank in terms of how it treats you.

Someone posted here that Deon Sanders got angry when some players walked away from two other players fighting during practice.

They got in trouble, and apparently Deon told them that if someone starts a fight they're expected to jump in and get all Black Culture, too.

348 My credit union has a policy of a human answering the phone. No press 1 for this or ocho for that. If nothing else, it’s worth it for that alone.

Yup, another thing to try. Definitely. Call them. If you hit an IVR, that is not itself a reason to not bank with them. If there are too many tiers of that IVR, it is. If I have to press 1 to speak with someone, that's fine. If I have to press 3 to talk about my balance, then 2 talk about an existing account, then enter my account number, then press 4 to ask about a deposit, then press 0 to talk to a person, I probably don't want to bank with them.

356 OK, I finished my military service over fifty years ago, and maybe things have changed. But as I recall, a Medal of Honor recipient deserves a salute from everyone including the President, not the other way around. Yet when Biden gave Capt. Taylor the Medal of Honor he just stood there until Taylor finally saluted him.

Am I wrong about this? Or does sponge-brain-shit-pants and his diaper-changers really not know this protocol of honor? (Yeah, yeah - to ask the question is to answer it, but I really would like to know if I'm wrong or right about this.)

1) Does everyone here sleep well at night, knowing your door could be kicked in next by FBI Stasi-like goons who intend on shooting you dead?

2) What in the hell is the Supreme Court doing by not intervening in these cases?

362 Woah! I'm really enjoying the template/theme of this blog.
It's simple, yet effective. A lot of times it's tough
to get that "perfect balance" between usability and visual appearance.
I must say you have done a great job with this.
Also, the blog loads very fast for me on Opera.
Excellent Blog!
