This Is How To Fight

At this point my only comment is: Paxton For President 2024.

Not really, but this is exactly how the Republican/conservative apparatus should be responding to every overreach by the leftists in power. Attack...Attack...Attack!

The impeachment was nakedly partisan, and obviously driven by the Bush clan, a puke-worthy assortment of neo-royalist nepots and midwits who stumbled into power for reasons that are increasingly opaque. What exactly did the Bush presidencies do for America except get a bunch of Americans killed, usher in the vile Clintons, shove us over the cliff onto the rocks of a police state (Patriot Act anyone?), and solidify the "dignified Republican" image...otherwise known as polite losers.

Texas AG Sends Threatening Warning to Biden After Being Cleared From Impeachment Charges

"The weaponization of the impeachment process to settle political differences is not only wrong, it is immoral and corrupt," Paxton's letter continued.

The Republican criticized the Biden Administration for infringing upon American's rights, promising the president that the time will come for him to face the same political persecution he targets toward conservatives.

"Finally, I can promise the Biden Administration the following: buckle up because your lawless policies will not go unchallenged," Paxton's letter added. "We will not allow you to shred the constitution and infringe on the rights of Texans. You will be held accountable."

This is how it is done. The Democrat machine has played for keeps for its entire history, yet the Republican response has been that of a cowardly little slave, thanking its master for some scraps from the table.

Paxton clearly uses a different playbook, and it is one that should be embraced by every Republican/conservative politician in the country. Anyone who speaks of accommodation or bipartisanship, or the worst..."reaching across the aisle"...should immediately be banished from the hierarchy and relegated to the back bench until the next election, when he is replaced by a frothing-at-the-mouth MAGA 2nd Amendment absolutist.

It's a war, and too many of our accommodationist politicians treat it like a jaunt through the park with their work buddies. But we are in a war for the survival of our country, and anyone who doesn't fight, and fight hard! should be banished.

And that means at all levels of government. If your little town has a Woke idiot as town manager, work toward getting him replaced. If your school board is a bit too curious about LGBTQXYZBBQ nonsense, vote them out in favor of people who care about the education of our children rather than their indoctrination into the church of Wokism.

This can be done peacefully. We still have the numbers...at least for a little while longer!

11 It’s embarrassing how many republicans in the Texas house voted for impeachment. Life is busy so I didn’t see the details at the time, but I looked it up yesterday…. 60 out of 121 republicans (including my rep) voted for the impeachment. Lt Governor Dan Patrick, to his credit, called for an audit of the funds the house used to do this totally unmerited impeachment. There’s about 60 republicans that need to be primaried. Paxton had my support from the beginning because he at least tried to address the 2020 fraud with SCOTUS… they wimped out to their everlasting shame

12 One thing I find hopeful is the increasing irrelevance of traditional media, teevee and newspapers. Unfortunately, the left still grips most of the social media platforms, but censorship took some big hits recently, not just with Musk taking over twatter, but also the rather obvious lies that have been revealed about pretty much everything recently.

It's got to be a multi-faceted attack. Go on the offensive from offices like Paxton's, but also a concerted effort by new and emerging social media sites and voices.

Ronnie Raygun was proto-Trump. It wasn't possible for him to man his administration without loading up with Gopes and neocons who secretly undermined him, damn near every step of the way.

In some ways it was easier then, because his leanings were in line with theirs, as facing down the Soviet Union was the main objective.

He had the right ideas on tax policy, unfortunately the big spenders undermined sound economic ideas by spending like crazy.

I have been to Texas and the racism I experienced was enough to prevent my ever stepping foot in that state again. I don't think Californians crap on other states, we may crap on other states' leaders and/or politics but not the people.

Texas is definitely gone, and the country is coming very close to it.

The Republican state legislators were intimidated by the 'Defend Texas Liberty' super Pac. Billionaire parasites Tim Dunn, Farris Wilkes and Dan Wilkes. Essentially they threatened the TX GOP senators.

Who allows these billionaires to call the shots on something like this? Oh, that's right! the Federalist Society, funded by yet other billionaire parasites! Citizens United opened the floodgates for dark money to undermine everything that is good for Americans on Main Street. AOC, Bernie, Katie Porter and Elizabeth Warren have ALWAYS been right. I have had a pet theory that for the last 30 years, (as far as conservative political trends go) Texas politics has been a leading indicator for where the rest of the country is heading. Bush came here first, and of course he pretended to be some Big Conservative and fooled everyone. But now that the Democrat party here is completely dead (they have city run grifiting operations but nothing else) what this is all teed up is a great Civil War inside the Republican party, and it is long overdue. The GOP-e fired the first shots, and missed - now our side gets the chance to fire back, and I hope we don't blow it. 78 Oh we could only hope. That would pretty much make sure every DOJ employee was up for arrest in Texas.

One can hope.

A DC jury will never convict a Democrat, and will never acquit a Republican.

Defendants are supposed to be able to get their trials moved if they can't get a fair trial in a jurisdiction - for some reason Chief Justice Roberts has ignored that basic requirement of common law.

The accusations were made, what, three months ago? Since then every anti-Paxton talking head has been going on and on about how it's over for him. That's all these people have heard. Then the trial.

They sure as fuck didn't watch the trial. Hell, there were Senators who voted guilty on the bribery charge when it was not only shown to be impossible but the prosecution witness admitted that it was all BS.

These people will believe any bad thing they're told about the people on the other side and reject any bad thing they're told about the people on their side. Sadly, a lot of people on our side are the same way.

95 I learned during Covid that people were positioning themselves for moving into higher offices. That is, just because someone is some 'nobody' City Council member doesn't mean they don't have greater ambitions. i learned it was possible to 'head it off at the pass'; pick a small fight before it gets too big to stop.
If someone is angling for more power and advancement, keep an eye on them and make every effort to shut them down before they get too far. I picked a fight with a City Council member over Covid lockdowns and 'they' sent cops to my JOB!!!
TO MY FUCKING JOB!!!
I exploded about that and while it was a close thing, it made 'them' look crazy (crazier than me). Because they were and are, and it went a long way to discrediting 'them' as not a team player and flatly crazy. The cops who came to my job were kind of embarrassed, to be honest.

152 "It's a war, and too many of our accommodationist politicians treat it like a jaunt through the park with their work buddies. But we are in a war for the survival of our country, and anyone who doesn't fight, and fight hard! should be banished .... This can be done peacefully. We still have the numbers...at least for a little while longer!"

I'm not going to say don't fight, but I have to call bullshit on much of this here. The republic is already dead. And it's not coming back BECAUSE we lack the numbers, and have lacked the numbers for years now unless you find the means to persuade tens of millions of foreign invaders - facilitated by our opponents for precisely this purpose - to leave.

The RINOs aren't accomodationists, they're charlatans. Opportunists at best and frauds and traitors at worst.

If you lose this fight you're not "losing your country", you're going to get genocided or dumped into gulags - if you are in enemy territory. What the current fights are about is carving out space not run by progs (or infested with them, lest they seize power later) where you have a functioning society with shared values, and ensuring the progs don't get to your kids.

I don't pretend to know what happens inside these campaigns, I do know people say when the Big Money approaches, the candidates are made to understand they must operate inside a narrow lane.

I wonder if there are candidates who relish the opportunity, and some who don't like it at all. And the ones who campaign rather lacklusterly, are they quietly objecting to the role they're being thrust into?

Was Jeb! less willing to take on the role than his brother? Is DeSantis struggling with this now? Remember Fred Thompson? Even Rudy? Or Noot? Rick Perry? Everyone thought those guys were fighters, then they became "candidates," and turned into mush. Why? What happened? Who got to them?

I think the narrative on Bill is that he wasn't considered much of a national figure, before he was. In other words, he kinda snuck up on the powers that be, but once he did, whatever faults he had, including selecting his shrew wife, they sorta had to live with them.

I tend to think Bill is a genius, I know lots of people object to that characterization, but he's a sociopathic monster who rose from nothing to being the most powerful man on the planet. And might still be, if his health hadn't deteriorated enough that he's just a shell of his former self now.

You also need to know that these types of things have been going on forever. And there is always a counter balance against it. Sometimes it takes lots of time to see it. You could read history and see it a bunch of times. The border is a problem, but the donks forgot that most of those brown people would eventually see themselves as white people due to their cultural heritage. That is happening right now. And then sending the illegals to blue enclave sanctuary cities was a stroke of genius and is splitting dem factions, just like tranny-ism is.

A lot of people "circled the wagons" with Palin in 2008 because of the way she was attacked. That she was the next coming to lead the conservative movement. The fact she can't even win her home state of Alaska in a "Red" year was probably good evidence she was a terrible choice for us.

I like that Trump fights. But does that mean every knock against Trump is untrue and that he's our best bet? And that he deserves the nomination. Simply because Democrats hate him the most?

Bill Clinton was gifted at lying and telling people what they wanted to hear. I also think he was just good at sounding very centrist and moderate.

Trump sort of had that Clinton charm also, but he really seems to have just decided to double down on looking like an angry crank 24/7.

But if Trump is the nominee, I'm likely to vote 3rd party. Just like some Trump people say they'll sit on their hands if a squish gets the nom.

I think Trump needs a really big defeat so we dont have him run again in 2028 and lose it for us again.

I suspect a center-right 3rd party candidate emerges if Trump is the nominee as clearly there is a large section of Republicans unhappy with him.

We've had several positive SCOTUS decisions, especially regarding guns and abortion, and a few State governors have finally had the balls to push back against Federal overreach (DeSantis, Reynolds, Abbott). How much of that is due to Trump, and how much would have happened regardless? I'm not sure, but I think Trump has certainly made a lasting, positive influence on the GOP.
