Woke School Backs Down, the Gadsden Kid Rides Again

He will be allowed to wear his (small) patch that so distressed the pig-ignorant, ugly fascists (is there any other kind?) that presume to teach children.

The Colorado middle schooler who was allegedly kicked out of class for displaying several patches on his backpack, including one of a Gadsden flag, is allowed to wear the symbol after his mother claimed his First Amendment rights were violated.
The 12-year-old Vanguard School student, Jaiden Rodriguez, was ordered to remove the flag -- which features a coiled rattlesnake and the phrase "Don't tread on me" -- before he was allowed back inside on Tuesday.

By Wednesday, the Vanguard School Board of Directors reversed the decision, allowing the boy to "attend school with the Gadsden flag patch visible on his backpack," according to Fox News.
"The Vanguard School recognizes the historical significance of the Gadsden flag and its place in history," the district said in a statement. "This incident is an occasion for us to reaffirm our deep commitment to a classical education in support of these American principles.
The decision comes as a relief for Jaiden and his mother.
"I do want him to stand up for his rights, too, and I don't want to say, 'No, you bow down to the government,'" Jaiden's mom, Eden Rodriguez, told News5.

By making him miss three days of school over his patches, the charter school violated the seventh-grader's First Amendment rights, his mom said.
Steven Zansberg, an attorney who specializes in First Amendment cases, told the outlet that "students do not leave their First Amendment rights at the schoolhouse door.

Maybe the kid should be allowed to only have to go to class 4 days a week, you know, taking fridays off as a mental health day since he's dealing with such an abusive and dangerous environment at his school.

There is a whole cottage industry on the left of people who will write essays linking any revolutionary war symbolism as well as any conservative group symbols to white supremacy, slavery, racism, xenophobia, etc. Southern Poverty Law is the most prominent. Then people in government like the FBI pick up these poorly reasoned and sourced articles and write advisories. Then lefties use these advisories as "proof" to shut down anyone sporting the symbols.

I'm sorry that you're having trouble sleeping. I sometimes have that problem. It is a pain in the backside. My suggestions 1. Don't look at the computer screen or phone for at least and hour before you go to sleep. 2. Don't over exercise during the day. Exercise is great but it you add a lot during the day it can effect your sleep cycle. 3. I have been taking either Ashwaganda (Indian herb) or l/Theanine -an amino acid found in green tea which is a relaxant. Also CBD oil ( no connection to our estimable co/blogger with the same initials ) can help. I occasionally take Advil PM but it's not good to take that all the time.

I hope you can get some good rest because what you do here is important for lots of folks! God bless you!

My kids went to a charter school for few years. The learning environment and students were far better than the local public schools we fled. Unfortunately it was just as woke, or even worse. Then I got to college and enjoyed having a weird name.

No. Taiwan is an island. Islands are incredibly difficult to mount an invasion on. I can't think of the last war that China actually won. Where they had an advantage, it was where they can very easily supply overwhelming forces, but that's not going to happen with an island. And, like I've said before, I'm not confident that their ships have the build quality to even survive a maiden voyage to Taiwan.

Different war with different equipment. China has to cross the Taiwan Strait. I've yet to see a serious analysis as to how they would pull that off, especially if we intervened with our Navy and air assets.

Note: I am NOT suggesting that we do that. I think what has happened to Russia has probably given Xi second thoughts about the willingness of the West to oppose an invasion, either directly or indirectly.

If that means they changed the molecular structure of the drug, even if by only a few atoms and bonds, it could be legitimate. I really don't know, but what I do know is I'm reluctant to ditch the guy based on this alone. If what the videographer says (and implies) is accurate, Vivek is done. But again, why don't we find out more before we throw yet another promising candidate under the bus.
