The Morning Report — 8/30/23

chuckypsakibanality.jpg

Good morning, kids. Obviously, Hurricane Idalia is in the lead and as of the latest reports is set to hit Florida now as a potentially catastrophic Category 4 storm. I assume those of you directly in its path have evacuated to safer ground. Prayers up that damage will be minimal and injuries and loss of life at zero.

It's probably a safe bet that Leftists everywhere up to and including the criminals who hijacked the White House are praying to whatever golden calf/Pazuzu entity they worship for just the opposite while Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants will be forced to fake sincerity and put on some sort of phony dog-and-pony show to save face in the wake of East Palestine and Maui. Enough of that. Stay safe, and prayers to our Floridian friends.

Continuing with the theme brought out by Daniel Greenfield's outstanding essay entitled "Nothing Sacred" highlighted in yesterday's column this chilling piece underscores Greenfield's assertion about the party and movement that worships and brings death and destruction:

It was Hannah Arendt, writing on the trial of Adolf Eichmann in 1961, who coined the term “the banality of evil.” Her phrase came under fire later from Jewish leaders worldwide, although they had missed the essence of her meaning. She was not relaying the “ordinariness” of the crimes, and she was certainly not exonerating Eichmann, she herself being Jewish and a leading philosopher of her generation. What Arendt took aim at, in critiquing the prosecution attempt at proving “intention,” was that here we had an entirely new modern subject. The new modern man was unthinking. And this makes it difficult to correlate intention.

Arendt asked if this was a particular trait of Nazi Germany. Unfortunately, it isn’t. It is endemic to an epoch: our age of non-thinking. The horror is that we are all on trial.

This ties in with the catatonic attempts by liberal media to construct a narrative of victimhood for the British child-killing nurse Lucy Letby. Along the lines of “she also was a victim,” the BBC sat down, after a court recipe of meaningless murder, with Letby’s best “loyal” friend. Her friend denied it was possible that Letby was a baby killer, unless of course she admitted it to her, personally. Of course, she would never be associated with a child killer. So, we have also not only non-thinking but dishonest thought, the kind of thought that, in accord with accepted mores, a man can have babies, that “some” people can be exonerated for their crimes according to their background. The “narrative” of the trial, as Kafka had noted, is more important than the truth. It is a plague that seeped not just into that Algerian town of Oran, for Camus had meant the plague to be universal. . .

. . . Liberal democracy works by atomizing the individual; it desensitizes one from instinct and custom and community.

This separation, this inability to think has its origins in two seminal events. The first was the rise of reason as an intellectual fashion post-Enlightenment, which was sanctified by Kant in his “categorical imperative.” This “deontological” view states that you should “[a]ct only according to that maxim whereby you can at the same time will that it should become a universal law.” Kant, therefore, set up an a priori system of laws. In Kant’s view, an individual cannot decide whether conduct is right, or moral, through empirical means or the results of action. Judgments must be reached a priori, with “pure practical reason.” The effects of this logic, that the action is not judged by empirical result, has become the foundation of modernity, especially in human rights and equality law. Our legal and political concepts, therefore, are based on practical reason rather than, say, instinct or community or particular communities. Eichmann defended his actions by appealing to this kind of universal categorical imperative. . .

. . . So, we live in a historicity of thresholds — thresholds controlled by reason and technology that are constantly rejigged and lowered. Liberal democracy works by atomizing the individual; it desensitizes one from instinct and custom and community. It alienates people from sensible, commonsense natural law and replaces it with a metallic screaming edifice of barbed law, which becomes Sartre’s “prison without walls.” Yet one can hide in this modern labyrinth of law and anonymity, passing threshold after threshold as we step into Patočka’s “polemos” of night. Things that ancient or indigenous societies would find anti-civilizational, such as war, abortion, or a transgender surgery, become, in rational society, legally entombed.

Rather than being liberated by the movement out of Plato’s cave, we are in a hecatomb of our own design, a kind of Panopticon of surveillance and rationality, whereby the cult of violence becomes a norm. The overall world now is one of Keynesian war, a permanent feature of liberal capitalism, and the ability to “think” is outsourced to representative forms of government, to think tanks, to artificial intelligence. We are all on trial.

A bit of background about Lucy Letby:

A neonatal nurse has been found guilty of murdering seven babies and attempting to kill six more, making her the worst child serial killer in modern British history and raising urgent questions over whether her crimes could have been stopped.

Lucy Letby, 33, was convicted of the “persistent, calculated and cold-blooded” murder of five premature boys and two newborn girls on the unit where she worked at the Countess of Chester hospital in north-west England.

Psaki-psircling back, the excellent essay spotlights everything from the Einsatzgruppen to the Manson Family (unfortunately it's behind the Spectator's paywall but if your fast on your fingers there are ways around that). If I remember correctly (and surprisingly sometimes I don't), it was George Bernard Shaw who once quipped "Where anything goes, soon everything goes." The irony, of course is that despite his literary talents, Shaw was a Marxist and Fabian Socialist. For those who don't know, one of the key tenets of that movement was eugenics.

Look around at the shambles of our nation and society, and the world in general today. "Everything goes" indeed. All things considered, it's rather surprising that Lucy Letby wasn't given a knighthood and an OBE instead of a life sentence for what she did. Timing is everything I guess.

I personally believe Roe v. Wade was safe until the “abortion up until the last minute in utero” ghouls demanded the “right” to abort a child one minute before birth.

The pro-choice rhetoric is strong. Rather than admitting what abortion truly is — an escape hatch for the irresponsible behavior of two people — leftists have warped feticide into “women’s healthcare.” Of course, they had to make race and gender a part of the conversation, hence the liberal mantra, “I don’t want old, white men telling me what to do with my body.” This suggests that other groups aren’t fervently pro-life. It’s the old “us against the vile Republicans” motto, and it’s working even better now that Roe v. Wade was kicked to the states.

I’ve had a ton of angry leftists spit-arguing at me that Republicans don’t care about a child once he or she is born. When this happens, I challenge the dolts to a contest. I ask them to Google Democrat adoption agencies while I search for Catholic adoption agencies. Thus far I am undefeated.

The Republicans had a wonderful chance to score an abortion victory but, in typical Republican style, drop-kicked the ball out of bounds. Rather than attack Democrats on their “abortion up to birth” hysteria and point out the Mephistophelian choice of a last-minute termination, which every pro-choicer I personally know is against, they celebrated the Supreme Court’s decision to kick the abortion issue to the states, where it belongs.

Leftists, who have long screamed that the evil elephants are all about “forced births,” were declared the winners, and went so far as to suggest gay marriage and even interracial marriage are now fair game for conservatives. (Never mind that both black SCOTUS justices are married to white people.) Liberals went nuts when they realized they might lose their abortion access, and just as importantly, their college-aged daughters might lose the ability to have an abortion after a drunken night in a frat house. No one wants to raise an unwanted child. And all of this conveniently happened just before the 2022 midterm elections, where the expected “red wave” crashed and died at the Florida-Georgia line. . .

. . . If Republicans, conservatives, and Christians continue their all-or-nothing pro-life crusade, they should get used to warming up Cricket Helper on an electric range as they welcome third-world “asylum seekers” into their spare bedrooms, because the commies will easily win in 2024, and smarter people than I believe that could be our last election.

The answer is simple: we let them abort their unwanted pregnancies and they let us keep our guns. If they are forced to raise kids they don’t want, the leftists will just teach them to hate us anyway. We have a duty to leave our kids with the liberties we’ve had, if not more. A growing number of their kids will likely “identify” as LGBTLMAO and not reproduce anyway.

The candidates who believe abortion should be “safe, legal, and rare” and also embrace the Second Amendment can sail to victory in states like Pennsylvania and Michigan.

The leftists will continue to push for abortion until a child is teething. We need to use that against them and stop pushing “no abortion for any reason,” and we can win.

Kevin Downey's argument is one that I am on board with, while at the same time, somewhat uncomfortable with. Beyond the politics of the issue, it still leaves the question of the nature of what constitutes a human being. That is, life by definition begins at the point of conception. But at what moment is that life to be considered a human being?

We may never know that answer but for sure the debate rages. Or at least it should. Psaki-psircling back conveniently to Rosa Klebb-Chucky replicant Jen Psaki who claims "No one supports abortion up until birth," which is an abject lie, Obama's own science advisor, John Holdren, the psycho Malthusian who was hot and horny to depopulate the earth, supposedly claimed infants aren't even fully formed human beings until they're two years old. So instead of a small scissors, "healers" like Kermit Gosnell would us garden shears, eh?

What a fucking world.

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services has identified a potentially widespread fuel contamination caused by human error at the Port of Tampa. Fuel purchased after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, at stations supplied by Citgo from the Port of Tampa has a strong likelihood of being contaminated.

The prophet Isaiah diagnosed our current problems 2700 years ago: “Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the Lord, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.”

The key phrase above: “…they have forsaken the Lord.” That is the root cause of our current situation….. politics ain’t the answer (as passionate as I am on that topic). Spiritual revival is…

The reversal of Roe was of course correct and long overdue.

The drive now by many on our side to outright ban or limit abortion AS FEDERAL LAW is political suicide.

We should and must argue about the insane baby-killing proclivities of the Left. But we should compromise and force them back to "safe, legal and rare." I think first trimester is something I am willing to go to.

Again, it's making them defend THEIR position in killing babies at any time for any reason with no restrictions.

Abortion is not an issue which people of good conscience should have on their conscience. Yes, it is reprehensible in all but a few cases and Donald Trump has said he, "Hates it". But if women want to have sexual intercourse with men they don't want to have children with... it's 100% on them.

But we're in this crazy world when instead of "getting tired of winning" we all have to be a little bone weary of all the losing. Obama won and instituted changes to healthcare that now include 'gender affirming care'. What a nightmare that has become.

The 'hill to die on' for some... has only resulted in more hills to die on.

I've changed my mind about this from youth to now, but this is similar to what I've been saying for decades now. Abortion is the ultimate skirting of one's responsibility. The base of leftism is not being responsible for your actions. Everything is someone else's fault. Even getting pregnant ends up being the baby's fault, so it must be punished.

Good, sort of, as a chyron here probably from early this morning claims it was Cat 4 storm nearing FL's Big Bend area. From NOAA:

3 (major) 111-129 mph 96-112 kt 178-208 km/h
Devastating damage will occur: Well-built framed homes may incur major damage or removal of roof decking and gable ends. Many trees will be snapped or uprooted, blocking numerous roads. Electricity and water will be unavailable for several days to weeks after the storm passes.

4 (major) 130-156 mph 113-136 kt 209-251 km/h
Catastrophic damage will occur: Well-built framed homes can sustain severe damage with loss of most of the roof structure and/or some exterior walls. Most trees will be snapped or uprooted and power poles downed. Fallen trees and power poles will isolate residential areas. Power outages will last weeks to possibly months. Most of the area will be uninhabitable for weeks or months.

65 In a deep dive, and confirmed by 'jewish' reports, the Odessa 'pogroms' were a result of general financial mobster actions, a bunch of Ottoman Empire values transposed into a governmental system unprepared for them, and Radical Central Asian Sufi Utopian beliefs that deliberately provoked violence to usher in a New Reality. The most violent of them was touched off by 'jewish' Radicals desecrating Orthodox Christian Ikons in a parade in a deliberate provocation.
I'm Orthodox Christian and until I see actual Jews repudiate these criminals that embrace this Pagan Energy Worship, we will remain a bit on the outs.
Kick out Marcuse and then we'll talk. Take on Einstein and his repudiation of an afterlife and we'll talk.
Kick out all the Marxists and be vocal about it, then we will talk.

Also, every time we "compromise" with the Left, we ultimately lose the war. "Safe, legal, and rare" is what led to abattoirs like Kermit Gosnell's operation.

The Abortion Battle Is Killing Republicans and Ushering in Communism

--

I have never heard any Republican *ever* make the most obvious point in the discussion.

1% of abortions are supposed to have some loose connection to rape and or incest of women, so the 99% of recreational abortions must not only be tolerated but celebrated and protected as sacred lest they compromise that 1%

Fewer than 1% of guns are used in any crimes, and this right of every person in the U.S. that is clearly written down in black and white in the Constitution must be forcibly removed from the other 99.9% because of the 1%.

The GOP is pro abortion, but they couldn't get elected without the pro-life movement. So they tied themselves to it and are now pissed because the movement they affiliated with had one success. 163 Ah, yes, the abortion issue.

What's sad is the left had their abortions, but they weren't happy with victory. Instead, they had to do their victory dance and rub the right's face in it until even the most even-tempered soul finally said ENOUGH.

That's a theme, it seems. Just like with gay rights, it started with "We want to get married" and now we're at the point where boys pretend to be girls so they can dominate girls sports and rape their team-mates in the locker rooms and anyone who says anything about it gets labeled as an anti-gay transphobic bigot.

The truth is most of us are OK with you living your life the way you see fit as long as you don't drag us into your drama. Problem is, some people just have to have the drama and can't resist the urge to drag everyone into it.

Also, leave our kids alone.

The pro-choice rhetoric is strong. Rather than admitting what abortion truly is — an escape hatch for the irresponsible behavior of two people — leftists have warped feticide into “women’s healthcare.”

It's wrong. We all know it's wrong. Nobody asks a pregnant woman, "How's your fetus?" There aren't any Hallmark cards saying, "So You Got An Abortion!" Comedians don't make jokes about it.

Pro-Life people say it's wrong. Pro-Choice people know it's wrong because they use euphemisms like "women's healthcare" because they can't use "abortion".

Whatever time there might have been a compromise struck is dead and gone. We aren't in the "safe, legal, rare" stage any more. Is there any evidence at all that the pro-choice people are willing to compromise on anything less than full-term?

IIRC the French have, or had, a vested interest in the goings on in Africa. Nigeria, Gabon... a lot of west Africa and along the S. Atlantic. France seems to be a bit preoccupied right now with other stuff...

Now the question, Why is there so much violence, pain and despair coming out of the leftwing governments and institutions that have seized power throughout the west?, becomes much easier to answer doesn't it?

Why is Canada encourage people to kill themselves?
Why is crime being ignored in the US?
Why is NATO intentionally dragging out a war in Ukraine?

Well, you have your answer don't you?

That suits the Demonic Leftists just fine. They also refuse to define "woman." To achieve their goals. Then they find or inventively create loopholes in laws (there is no definition of "woman" or "female"in Title IX, for example), and invent nice-sounding replacements for commonly-used words and phrases. Then they use the courts, the Media, and peer-pressure within their captured victim groups to drive their Demonic Panzer Armees through the loopholes at full speed.

227 The drive now by many on our side to outright ban or limit abortion AS FEDERAL LAW is political suicide.

We should and must argue about the insane baby-killing proclivities of the Left. But we should compromise and force them back to "safe, legal and rare." I think first trimester is something I am willing to go to.

Again, it's making them defend THEIR position in killing babies at any time for any reason with no restrictions.
Posted by: J.J. Sefton at August 30, 2023 08:06 AM (x0n13)

1. Limiting or banning as federal law is either specifically intended as sabotage (given that SCOTUS ruled that the feds have no say) or evidence of a failure to understand... anything.
2. Even if first trimester abortions were not evil (camel's nose and all that), the left would never be satisfied with that and the convenience-bots would fall dutifully in line.

272 is driven by a few unelected and elected higher ups in D.C. (and worldwide) who worship Moloch.

Two data points of interest from the last few years;

1) The HuffPo had an article from a leftist hausfrau that joined the Church of Satan because she was mad at Trump. She argued they don't really worship Satan...because the chief priest told her so...and it was just good clean fun. The comments where overwhelmingly positive. Remember - HuffPo is targeted at leftist hausfraus....

2) Someone supposedly burned down the Chief Satanic Temple in NYS. And all of the Dem government officials from NY condemned the arson. Did you know we have enough Satanic Temples for them to have hierarchies? And...that Dem office holders feel the need publicly condemning "anti-Satan hate?"

So, I think there is an undercurrent in the Dem party of Satan-curious...and more...people.

I absolutely believe the "Satan curious" aspect. JJ posted something yesterday about how it's clear that the left exists entirely as an Oppositionism (sp?) party now, and the only thing they live for is to see what conservatives do and embrace the opposite, or see what they dislike and to crank that up to 11. The Satanism fits in perfectly with that.

And in regards to your quote above, like I said before Satan (or Moloch) doesn't care if you're doing it in fun. Just so long as you're doing it. Same as messing with a ouija board.

Daniel Goldhagen responded to it a couple of years later with "Hitler's Willing Executioners," arguing the opposite from the same sources.

Yes, abortion is an absolute wrong. But, that battle must now be fought in your state as is right and proper and legal in the Constitution.

332 Knowing how to fry chicken is the key. If the oil isn't hot enough there won't be a hard shell that forms and prevents oil absorption. Most greasy fried chicken is because of this, and it's very easy to have happen because the oil cools off with the addition of the food.

Like biscuits, once you figure it out it's almost magical.

Or they do the obvious, which is what asshats like Lindsey Graham - quite deliberately - did *not* do in '22: declare victory and remove it from contention at the federal level. That's not only the legally consistent thing to do, it's the politically expedient and robust thing to do.

"The Dobbs ruling has shown that there is no specific Constitutional or legal protection for abortion in the United States and as such, this is now - as it always has been in fact, and shall remain in the future - a state issue. The states are free to pursue their own abortion policies. This is not a federal issue. I am passionately pro-life and have fought for it at the state level, but this is not a federal issue and I will veto any legislation or regulation that seeks to re-federalize this issue."

Unfortunately, as great as our Constitution is/was - it must be significantly reformed/changed to address agency law (among other things). The politicians themselves will never take on the bureaucracy, because there is no upside for them to do so and lots of potential downside (see Trump, Donald). Rules limiting the power of agencies and creating checks and balances on agencies must be established in the constitution. The executive agencies effectively act as the 4th branch of gov't now - mostly independent of the executive in practice, but there is no effective check and balance on agency power.

It's hard to gather evidence when there isn't a real investigation. Kind of like the whole election tampering thing. Oh yeah, look at the results and you can tell there were shenanigans. Those who won't admit it are either ok with it as long as their side wins or are complicit in it, maybe both.

Fugitive Drug Lord ‘Taliban’ Who Stole Cartel’s 450lb Cocaine Shipment Is Tossed ALIVE Into Ocean With An Anchor Tied To His Waist

This is the moment a fugitive Venezuelan drug trafficker known as Taliban is dumped alive in the ocean with his hands zip-tied and an anchor around his waist in revenge for stealing 450 lbs of cocaine – and cash – from a cartel.

Reinaldo Fuentes is seen bound and gagged with blood stains on the back of his head before his killers struggle to heave him – and the anchor – over the side of a boat into the Caribbean Sea near Martinique.

The federal government cannot be fixed. That does not mean it cannot be fought. It just means that trying to "win" the federal level is pointless and trying to "reform" the federal government is tilting at windmills.

The way to fight the feds is at the state level or through citizen action - think nullification and stuff like general strikes, not elections. Nullification is my preferred approach, since it is the one option I can think of that might avoid civil war. It's a distant "might," but it is nonetheless there.

there's far more than that. Agencies should not a) make law (regulations); b) enforce laws and regulations; and c) adjudicate the enforcement of laws and regulations. That is what they do now. And, congress often passes very vague and broadly worded laws to allow agencies almost unlimited power in passing regulations.

And, it can cost someone or a business tons of money to fight an agency and even if you win, you lose b/c it bankrupted you.

And the courts "defer" to the agencies regarding interpretation of the law, etc., granting the agencies even more power.

No government can be "fixed", I suppose. But we can surely make it far less dangerous to ordinary Americans. Step one is to undo the administrative state, step two is to return many functions to the states (a the abortion ruling will do), like education and environment. Step three, crucially, is to disarm much of the government and eliminate the DOJ/FBI threat.

Almost all of this can be done within the Executive Branch, plus SCOTUS.

I'm not against that, but unless you are arguing for a complete dissolution of the U.S. and making each state an independent nation, you would still need to deal with agency law in a federal constitution as part of the effort. Things like separating adjudication from the agency, limiting their ability to pass new regulations, forcing the house and senate to actually vote on regulations so they have skin in the game. Creating a system where if you beat the agency, you should be repaid.

Our constitution worked pretty well for a couple hundred years. I think a new constitutional convention with a revamped and reformed constitution would do the same. but, as times change and the insane left tries to destroy/undermine the constitution, in another couple hundred years the same will have to be done again.

"The candidates who believe abortion should be “safe, legal, and rare” and also embrace the Second Amendment can sail to victory in states like Pennsylvania and Michigan."

I wish. But like Wolf, Shapiro is another 'quiet' master manipulator. Health dot PA dot gov website: Abortions are Legal In Pa. "Pennsylvania has an executive order designed to protect persons..." "The Department of Health has regulatory oversight of abortion facilities and continues to ensure that abortions provided in Pennsylvania are safe.
To find healthcare facilities near you, please use this facility search tool." Really? I can't get access to either the Executive Order or 'healthcare facilities near you' through those 'links' but I do see testimony from former acting Secty of Health & State AG abortion related info. And loads of abortion reminders, i.e, medication abortion; types; why it's "safe and effective." Even a webpage, "Shapiro Administration Launches Abortion Access Website After Texas Ruling," and so on.

Cont'd

Posted by: Nixon's ghost at August 30, 2023 10:27 AM (GshMh)

404 Continued: But at the very end of Abortion in PA is the paragraph: "What are crisis pregnancy centers? Crisis pregnancy centers or pregnancy resource centers are not licensed or regulated by the Department of Health and do not provide abortions. View more information about Department of Health licensed facilities that provide abortions." Rat ba*tards.

That's how they roll in PA. They're not innocents w/o options. They provoke, twist truth, belittle. They can and will: Rs - state and federal - were around in Gosnell's time and they also stood largely silent over Stem Cell research accusations, for which PA - like CA - is infamous.

And as the thread also discussed our children, here's another kick in the teeth in PA: Chalkbeat Philadelphia, Jul 5, 2023 — Josh Shapiro has vowed to line-item veto the school voucher program appropriation from the Pennsylvania state budget when it hits his desk.

PA is 100% dollar driven; principles & morals be damned. Abortion is an available reproductive health option through the 23rd week of pregnancy, and after that time...

I don't approve.

War.

408 "Technically, you may...be correct...can a two-cell zygote feel pain? We're talking about political expediency here. And despite that troubling me, the question still stands."

Political expediency? Interesting concept.

Well, the door seems propped open for "political expediency" concerning life, and whether or not "pain" is the deciding factor, whether or not to end the life of another?

The French lined people up for the guillotine, because they thought that beheading was the most humane manner of execution, fast and (likely) painless, except for that 'standing in line' thing, you know, waiting to climb the steps to the scaffold.

The guillotine then, and WWII, the "political expediency" of interment camps for (unvalued, unwanted) life, is how it 'stands' in my view.

Say, how many cells had to split before you and I became you and I?
