Vivek Ramaswamy: Anti-Semite, The Indian Face Of White Supremacy, Soros Stooge...Or Is He?

If taking flack means that he is over the target, then Vivek Ramaswamy is indeed pricking the GOPe and the Democrat/Corporate interests that are terrified of any change in the status quo.

Search "Ramaswamy" on Bing and the articles from the mainstream media are almost uniformly dismissive: linking him to Trump or Musk, suggesting he is too young, too combative, and of course the great unwritten subtext...he may be dark-skinned, but he isn't the correct kind of plantation-dwelling minority that the progressive movement favors.

Talk about projection!

ramaswamy slam.jpg

Ramaswamy recently made some remarks about Israel and its place at the top of our foreign aid list (more about that below). He suggested that his administration will complete the realignment in the Middle East that was started by President Trump, and that within a few years Israel would no longer require aid from us. He was pilloried for that comment by both the left and some on the right, but while I think it is a bit of a pipe dream, it is by no means an attack on Israel. The real attacks on Israel come from the bien pensants in Europe, our very own rabid anti-Semites in congress, and the various hard-left NGOs dedicated to its destruction.

He is also being tarred with the George Soros brush, which is a serious charge...if it were true. It isn't. He accepted a scholarship from a scholarship fund created by Paul and Daisy Soros. He was George's older brother, but not the progressive type at all! In fact the program requires a "commitment to the United States' fundamental principles and ideals." That doesn't sound like a George Soros sleeper...does it? Ramaswamy tried to get the Wikipedia entry corrected or deleted, which was unwise, but understandable. That seems to be the big black mark from the GOPe hacks who want nothing to do with a candidate who doesn't particularly favor their brand of politics.

But his policy goals are laudable, and if he were to win and had the capacity to begin the long process of dismantling the deep state, America would be far better off than it is now.

Is he going to get the nomination? No. And if he did he wouldn't win against the combined efforts of the entrenched Democrats and their vote manipulation, and the corporate Republican interests who want nothing more than to manage the decline while making their share of the graft.

As for Israel's foreign aid package? $3.3 billion this year, most of which goes to purchasing American weapons systems. It is dwarfed by the catastrophic spending on the Ukraine quagmire, but that is carefully excluded from the calculations, probably because the Biden Crime Family doesn't get much of a cut from the Israeli aid, and boy are they pissed.

The primary season is upon us all too early, and I would prefer to hear some substantive debate about the various serious candidates. And there are a few! Trump, DeSantis, Ramaswamy, and even Burgum and Suarez (until we learn more about them). Instead we get Donald Trump's arraignment circus dominating the news cycle, and a bunch of grifting clowns and beached whales sniping at Trump and the other serious candidates.

And that would be okay in normal times, but we are very obviously not in normal times. We need a united Republican/Conservative movement that winnows out the weaker candidates without devolving into a self-destructive circle-jerk. But that is also dependent on the candidates themselves, and the Donald Trump, the front-runner, is the worst offender, preferring to attack his "disloyal" opponents rather than focus his energies on the multiplicity of issues with which the Democrats can be attacked, and building a system to combat the steal which is absolutely going to be as significant as it was in 2020.

I also want a pony and a mint condition 1965 Mustang convertible with a bored-out 289.

26 Thank you CBD. I like Vivek; he’s my second choice behind DJT. I enjoy how he makes all the right people uncomfortable. When I first heard his comments on Israel aid, I was turned off… it was the first time I’d heard him put his foot in his mouth. Hopefully it wasn’t as bad as it sounded; I’m generally against foreign aid, but Israel is a notable exception.

Speaking of GOPe, Kimberley Strassel had a WSJ OpEd the other day where she said that Pence and Nikki Haley were the “adults in the room” at the debate… and Vivek wasn’t. All the right people seem to dislike him so I’m inclined to feel positively about him….. Strassel: I used to think she was conservative, but she’s all in on the Ukraine war….

I know it's unfashionable to say this, but there is real value in having an eloquent spokesman for conservatism, even if he has no real chance of winning....this cycle. It reminds people that smart people are on their side, that ours are the winning policies, and that change can happen, albeit more slowly than any of us would like.

The GOPe mooks look worse and worse (I'm looking at you, Race), and by comparison, the RDS/Vivek/and yes, Trump wing looks strong and getting stronger.

48 If there's any doubt about the intentions of the GOP look no farther than how the party treats populist candidates. They denigrate Vivek Ramaswamy because he won't toe the GOPe line.

I sincerely hope the Republican nominate a GOPe, retail candidate like Pence. Someone wholly unlikeable and unelectable even under fair "election" conditions. Assuming Trump runs, even as a write-in or whatever, he'll likely finish 2nd to whomever the left installs in the White House with their 100M ballot fraud.

Finishing an distant 3nd would be sweet karma for the GOP who still think they're relevant king makers. And perhaps hasten that skinsuit of an opposition party's death.

59 The Republican love of Israel never fails to amaze me. That country apparently must be supported and subsidized no matter what. You don't need to be pro-Palestinian (most of those people are cringe) to see that a country with a first world economy doesn't need our taxpayer money to deal with Hamas rockets and tunnels. But saying this makes a lot of people on the right who normally have sound judgment trot out the "anti-Semitism" card. I don't see how this is any different from a left-winger claiming that a person who wants laws enforced is "racist", but there you go.

Israel will be fine with or without our support. Netanyahu has been playing the "Iran is right about to get a bomb" card for 20 years now and lots of people on the right fall for it every time. Um, that's because Israel has taken the initiative to destroy nuclear reactors, scuttle uranium enrichment centrifuges, and kill top leaders/scientists of enemy regimes (Iraq, Iran).
You keep doing that, and it slows down things appreciably.

If John Glubb was correct, empires last 250 years before falling. Since the founders always saw themselves as a kind of 'empire' from the start (our first legislature was the Continental Congress after all), that would put our approximate end date as 2026.

Mind you, I think what replaces this current crap will be much better, whether it is national divorce or Franco/Pinochet disappearing people, but I tend to be as long-term an optimist as I am a short-term pessimist.

Yeah, so much of our Israeli policy is leftover Cold War stuff, where the Soviets were financing whomever in the region, and we believed we had to make sure Israel was secure, as our main line of defense there.

But that's a long long time ago, and the "but Iran might get the bomb" scare is just total bullshit.

That's a foolish lie to say that Israel got us involved in anything we've done in the middle east over the last 30 years. Gulf War 1 was done to back up the Saudi's and their Kuwaiti/Gulf State allies; Gulf War 2 was GWB's "lets do what daddy did" revenge tour; Afghanistan was about setting up a 20 year grift pipeline so that everyone in DC could rape the treasury (now transferred to Ukraine) I don't think anyone can rationally explain what Syria was about.

but Israel had nothing to do with any of that.

Trump was also named in a lawsuit along with Soros in New York surrounding the sale of the GM Building, so it’s not as if Trump only dealt with Soros in Chicago."

https://is.gd/PpkcSC

apparently an excerpt from his book, "Nation of Victims: Identity Politics, the Death of Merit, and the Path Back to Excellence"

"Top election officials in virtually every state, regardless of party, said they’d found no evidence of any significant level of fraud. Our institutions did hold, in the end. But they shouldn’t have been tested."
Disagree. They should be tested. Elections should be secure, and election rules in many states do not make it so.

To be fair, he takes the same swipes at the Dems:
"But President Joe Biden and other top Democrats call them Jim Crow 2.0. I guess that’s because 'the New Jim Crow' was already taken by one of their other victimhood narratives. They apply the Jim Crow label to a number of Republican-led voting reforms, most of them pretty innocuous."

Plant-based meat substitute maker Beyond Meat said its revenue plunged 30.5% in the second quarter as consumer demand for its burgers, sausages and other products fell despite price cuts.
The El Segundo, California-based company lowered its full-year revenue forecast as a result. Beyond Meat now expects revenue between $360 million and $380 million for the year. That’s down from the $375 million to $415 million it forecast at the end of the first quarter.

There are some who still see Trump as being linked to Epstein, and part of the reason the lists (not to mention the nearly infinite hours of security footage) don't get released is because they WON'T have the goods on Trump. A bunch of other people? Sure, including plenty of Republicans and businessmen and scientists.

So in a way, linking Vivek to Soros is much the same as linking Trump to Epstein. It's damn near impossible for the paths not to have crossed, but the question is, are you compromised by one's associations or not? I don't see how either man is.

287 CBD: I would prefer to hear some substantive debate about the various serious candidates. And there are a few! Trump, DeSantis, Ramaswamy, and even Burgum and Suarez.. Instead we get Donald Trump's arraignment circus dominating the news cycle, and a bunch of grifting clowns and beached whales sniping at Trump and the other serious candidates.

********

In today's Book Thread Sgt. Mom drew a contrast between the Donnner Party and the Townsend Murphy Greenwood Party of 1844.

"They did everything right - and hardly anyone has ever heard of them - while the Donner Party did everything wrong and everyone knows about them."

You could make a case that there are serious candidates trying to do the right thing who most voters will never hear of, while the salacious tales of non-serious candidates devouring each other dominate the news cycle. Nice parallel Sgt. Mom and CBD!

No, if he were a white guy, saying the exact same things he's saying, most people here would be fine with him. I doubt anybody would be objecting to him running for president, even though he's probably better suited for a congressional run.

So what I wonder is, why are people so hung up on declaring him a phony? There's no real evidence he is, but it sure as hell is being manufactured. Trump went after Kemp in the primary. Kemp won. Slaughtered the other guy. And while Trump's guy Herschel lost, Kemp won with the same electorate. That some serious ticket delineation. In 2022 Trump attacked DeSantis during his reelection bid : "I will tell you things about him that won’t be very flattering. I know more about him than anybody other than perhaps his wife, who is really running his campaign.” DeSantis won by the largest margin evah. There is a lesson in there. 351 The conundrum in a totalitarian state, which the United States increasingly is despite our ability to discuss issues in non-threatening fora and ways, becomes whether to participate in ways largely impotent and fraudulent or to withdraw totally. It is a tough call.

I do welcome the recent default position to believe everything and everyone in the political system is a fraud or plant, though. For those who choose to continue to participate, it means they are doing so with eyes wide open as to the likelihood they are buying into a lie and liars. Vivek may or may not be a fraud, but at least people realize it would be no shock at all if he were a phony and a plant.

So, I am still planning on voting for DeSantis in March in Alabama, after Trump has this sewn up, to at least position Ron for 2028, and then voting for Trump in the general because Fuck You.

I view the political landscrape much the same as I did MLB before I gave up completely. My team was quite successful in the late 20th and early 21st century, but I believe this was in part due to their advanced use of steroids. In other words, they are mostly phonies.

So now that I'm no longer interested, I just assume every star was a steroid user, even though I'm sure SOME of them weren't.

360 Thanks, CBD. No, I can't pull the lever, stuff the ballot box or whatever for Pence, Christie, Haley - at least not for top dog position, President.

I don't think Vivek Ramaswarmy is running for any position other than President at this time. Kathy Barnette is his National Grassroots Director. Remember? Time, May 16, 2022, "Kathy Barnette Is the Trumpiest Candidate Who Wasn't Endorsed by Trump." Yes, Kathy - who was my pick in PA - took her lumps from the GOP, and I have no doubt Vivek will (is) too. Though not of the Grand Old Party - whatever the heck that is - they have some conservative beliefs that aren't lunar-like, a lot of nerve, and I want to hear more. I've also written I would like to learn more about Burgum (and I'm doing the research), and I would certainly invite Suarez to a forum.

I'm >29 & recognize the next presidential vote - if there is a legitimate one (heh) - is the heart of the nation. We're in too deep & need the promised big tent, fair & fresh ideas. The way out - or continue - can't be pitting 'Colors' against one another & throwing money at certain groups, lousy policy, unproveable positions.

Signed: Once a fool for McCain, Schmidt & Wallace

Yeah - I doubt he's that dumb, so I suggest he's a lying plant. I have spoken to far too many people who work on campaigns at the precinct level. The number of things they saw, without being on the inside in those particular swing states, and their explanation of how the game is played (I.e., how the cheat was performed) was eye-opening to me. Many acknowledge the proof is difficult to find, because no one who could easily find it wanted to. Obviously, some has trickled out, but way too late to matter. And Trump, who should know how it was done, has done nothing to prevent it happening again. Which makes me question his seriousness in doing anything about it if he were to win again. They robbed him, they are trying to put him in jail for pointing it out, while ignoring dem claims of the same type; and he's doing nothing to fix any of it. Trump embraces the GOPe squad. Funny how no one calls him on it.
