The Morning Report — 8/23/23

bull-dozerbiden.jpg

Good morning, kids. One of the links on Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants' trip to the utterly devastated island of Maui – in which he had to be dragged away from his "vacation" on Lake Tahoe with mega-donor Tom Steyer to try and fake compassion – nails it with the phrase, "He was better off when he left it at 'No comment.'"

Better still, not even saying that and just falling asleep at a memorial service for the victims, with a death toll that continues to rise and could very well reach or even top 1,000.

You know, sometimes I get the sneaking suspicion that Biden is not as demented and zonked out as he appears. At least from time to time. How the hell else do you explain comparing a mass-death conflagration to a garage fire? Or yet again bring it back to dead relatives. Even Norman Bates had the good sense to keep mother in the fruit cellar and not trot her out every time a hot dame with torpedo tits checked into the motel and took a shower. He's almost as pathologically narcissistic as his puppet master Obama, but I digress.

The residents of Maui were kind of irked, to put it mildly:

“Hearing you talk about your house that had a little fire, you ‘almost lost your house and your Corvette,’ there were children that were incinerated to ash, you f***king old man, you vile human being,” one man said in a viral video.

“You’re so out of touch with the common man, you don’t even know how to speak to them,” he continued. “The only way you think you can establish commonality with them is to lie, ‘The same thing happened to you no matter what the tragedy is.’ He referenced Biden attempting to commiserate with Gold Star Moms who lost their son in action by citing his son Beau’s death from brain cancer: “Your son wasn’t killed in action, by the way,” adding furiously, “Your house didn’t burn down. Your children weren’t burned to death.”

“How dare you get up there and speak this way?” he snapped. “Your job is to go there and assuage them in a way that you talk to them about their loss, that you can’t imagine what it’s like, that you can’t imagine what it’s like never to find the bodies of the poor children who were sent home from schools. They died alone! Alone. In fear. Without their parents or guardian. The most abhorrent thing happened. You’re a disgusting, despicable bastard.”

As the kids say (do they still say it?) BOOM. I hate like hell to bring politics into this situation but let's face it, everything these days is political. Not how I want it; the Left made it that way ages ago, so we're forced to play by their rules. Actually we're not allowed to play by their rules because, Calvinball, but whatever. With that said, I also hate to make assumptions, but it's probably a fair bet that this gentleman and the vast majority of his family and neighbors are lifelong Democrat voters (their leftist proclivities on the sliding scale from bleeding heart lib all the way to raging Maoist being unknowable). And they voted for this, along with Brian Schatz, Maizie Hirohito and the Mayor of Maui who for decades have put in place the policies and the inept, incompetent ideologues that implemented them which caused this devastation in the first place.

While, ironically and honestly enough, my heart does indeed go out to you, my brain doesn't. Sure, Biden is a heartless, callous criminal monster – but you wanted him. And you got him in spades.

Same thing goes now for the people of Oakland, CA, dealing with a different sort of conflagration, yet just as devastating as fire:

On July 27, the Oakland NAACP published a scathing letter decrying the city’s failure to keep its vulnerable communities safe from persistent violence from high-risk offenders.

“Oakland residents are sick and tired of our intolerable public safety crisis that overwhelmingly impacts minority communities,” the letter begins. “There is nothing compassionate or progressive about allowing criminal behavior to fester and rob Oakland residents of their basic rights to public safety. It is not racist or unkind to want to be safe from crime.”

The NAACP called on Oakland to declare a “state of emergency” due to the untamed spiral of crime. “Murders, shootings, violent armed robberies, home invasions, car break-ins, sideshows, and highway shootouts have become a pervasive fixture of life in Oakland,” the letter warns. . .

. . . Oakland has seen radical shifts in its police department in recent years. The department is down 100 officers, according to Councilman Noel Gallo, though the NAACP states in its letter that various experts view the department as short as many as 500 officers from optimal levels. (The force’s current size is 734 officers). . .

. . . Local community leaders, however, are singing a different tune in response to the homicidal violence in Oakland’s streets. “We need to do something now to curtail, I think World War III happening in the city of Oakland,” said Bob Jackson, bishop at the Acts Full Gospel Church and member of the NAACP. “For me, the only alternative I have left is to call out the National Guard. Have the governor send out the National Guard to help protect us,” councilman Noel Gallo said in June.

And as we all know, it's not just Oakland but scores of cities nationwide. And courtesy of the invasion of migrants from not just south of the now non-existent border but from across the planet, increasing criminality in supposedly safer suburban and rural areas that have never known it.

Again, my heart goes out to the people suffering with this madness, but not my brain. The people of Oakland and every other blue shit-hole city have brought this on themselves election after election, for decades now. In the immortal words of Oliver Cromwell, "I beseech you, in the bowels of Christ, think it possible that you may be mistaken."

Meh. It's like pissing in the wind. Maybe a handful of these people will actually wake up, connect the dots and not reflexively pull the lever for Biden or the ham-sandwich-du-jour that possibly replaces him come 2024. "The journey of a thousand miles," and all that. Even assuming the elections going forward are not rigged, we don't have time for that. We need a mass deprogramming of Democrat-voters now.

And speaking of elections, I'm at the stage where I simply don't give a shit any more. The battling and bickering of DeSantis and Trump – and considering the howitzer-sized gun he is under, his meshugas is maddening to say the least – makes me crazy and the bulk of the rest of the field is a joke. Elder and Ramaswamy notwithstanding. It's why the candidacy of RFK Jr. intrigues me, not so much as someone I'd ever vote for but who, perhaps accidentally, has backed himself into the absolute right side of a few critical issues. Someone like him could be quite useful in causing the scales to fall from the eyes of pissed off and disaffected Dems like that guy from Maui who went off on Biden. He's becoming more than a mere turd in the punchbowl but a random element that the Junta can't ignore.

One of his key issues was of course the vaccine mandates and the lockdowns. And suddenly, weirdly, as things like the war on ivermectin and the efficacy/safety of said shots and masks is coming to the fore mask mandates and new strains of COVID are popping up again. What a co-inky-dink – just in time for election season and as the heat seemingly heads towards the Biden Crime Family.

I don't know about you, but I will not be wearing any masks nor getting any shots. Ever.

During the entire COVID panic I never did wear a mask, but unfortunately, there was no revolution. Americans lined up like sheep and did as they were told, despite the fact that there continues to be zero evidence that masks do anything to prevent the spread of respiratory viruses, but actually contribute to its spread. The graphic to the right, from WHO, illustrates the risks of wearing a mask incorrectly, something everyone does. See this essay from July 2020 as well.

It now appears that the same government thugs who imposed jab and mask mandates before, working in league with the corrupt mainstream press, are once again trying to gin up another COVID panic, and force the same insane policies of lockdowns, school closures, and mask mandates all over again. . .

. . . We must panic, and the arrival of two positive tests, one in Virginia and another in Michigan, is all the evidence some leftists and a number of very brainless universities need. In Atlanta Morris Brown College announced on August 20, 2023 it is reinstating mask mandates, social distancing, tracking of students, quarantines, and repeated temperature checks.

Let me repeat, for what might be the hundredth time: No study before, during, or after the COVID epidemic has found any evidence any of these policies reduce the spread of these respiratory viruses, while many studies have repeatedly found some of these policies — especially masks — carry risks and can be harmful. . .

. . . Will Americans bow like sheep again and obey any new mandates? I sincerely hope not, because if they do this time, all hope for this nation’s commitment to freedom and the rule of law will end for good. Now more than ever everyone has to proclaim loudly, “I do not submit!” We have to tell these fools that we don’t believe or trust them anymore, and refuse to follow their dictates.

Let's hope we don't go through this madness again but these people don't do this shit unless they know it's going to spread everywhere. Just like a wildfire. There is no alternative. We must resist. Not just this but at every level on every issue, regardless of the consequences.

A mother of three became the target of local progressive activists and was eventually fired from her job after speaking out at a California school board meeting, where she voiced her concerns over LGBT curriculum for kids.

Janet Roberson, though, is not deterred from speaking out, and says she’d do it all over again.Roberson was let go from her position as an independent contractor with Compass, a large real estate company based in New York. She was dismissed from the company by phone only 11 days after she spoke out at a Benicia Unified School District board meeting.

“Children are asked to identify their pronouns; and this is now part of the 10-year-old curriculum,” Roberson told the school board on April 20. “We are alarmed that gender identity is being discussed in math classes. This takes time from core learning and does not benefit the students or our community. Teaching kids that there isn’t any standard or truth and you can believe anything you want to believe is not scientifically accurate or medically correct. For example, the notion that a girl can decide to be a boy, or a boy can decide to be a girl, is not true and should not be taught.”

Soon after voicing her concerns, she was met with backlash from local activists. Two local papers published letters complaining about her comments at the board meeting. In the Vallejo Times-Herald, for example, a former City Council candidate named Billy Innes identifies Roberson as a “Compass Real Estate agent” multiple times — an emphasis Roberson believes was made in an attempt to get her fired — and claims the mother delivered a “lengthy, bigoted diatribe denouncing” “gender-inclusionary language.” He also claims Roberson promotes racism, transphobia, “anti-COVID safety,” and “content that favors Eugenics” on her website. Roberson denies all these claims and described them as horrifying.

That's what it's all about, people. Imagine if there were a few million just like this brave woman who just said "Enough!"

Be nice if that guy in Maui and his neighbors had her attitude and connected the dots between this crap and what happened to their community.

I have a dream today . . .

We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons, but that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.

Anti-police "activists" don't really give a damn about poor people. Sure, there are a lot of people who are poor because they're no damn good, but there's also a lot of decent poor people who are just trying to get along working in crappy, badly-paid jobs. They're the ones crime affects the most, the ones hurt first by stores closing because feral criminals are cleaning them out.

27 We need a mass deprogramming of Democrat-voters now.

-----------

For the vast majority, it's gonna take a ubiquitous personal bitch-slap of consequential reality (at minimum hyperinflation & likely starvation, at worse economic & societal collapse or other cataclysmic black swan event) -- which of course will be too late to matter, as each day becomes a literal struggle for survival (an actual existential threat).

Posted by: ShainS -- Deplorable AND Listless Vessel at August 23, 2023 08:01 AM (CYgrT)

28 that "wake up call" article was full bullshit stereotypes.

I am a gun owner. I feel like the government is just waiting for me to screw up so they can take my guns. When I don't screw up, they try to pass more laws that I can then screw up. So...I don't screw up.

This guy screwed up. He knowingly broke the law and invited the government into his home.

Look, we have a Constitution to prevent what is happening to the J6 defendants and it isn't protecting them. Even though, thanks to the Eisenhower Interstate system, we are all within driving distance of the next Civil War, none of us are mounting up to go do battle with the Government.

We don't want that. We are law abiding. We haven't hit the Twisted Sister alarm just yet.

But us gun nuts know that government overreach is not a abstract concept and perhaps one day it will cascade. I thought the BLM riots in Portland would have been a catalyst but even the Proud Boys didn't flock shoot the rioters.

But...one day...maybe there will be a cascade when there is nothing left to lose. One day, we won't be able to avoid screwing up. That is the point of the 2nd A.

He's close. This will work, but only if they're given a *very* long leash. Manpower alone won't take care of the problem. You could have two cops on every corner and nothing will happen if they are forbidden from intervening.

In essence, a lot of major American cities are going to need outright martial law at this point to restore regular order. I don't know if Oakland is there, but places like Portland, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco and others are (and least parts of those places are). That is going to require a military action, not a police action.

The only solution I can think of is to declare those areas as being in rebellion (which is a hard sell, but I think a case could possibly be made) and send in the army to occupy and administer it. Which nowadays may well just be trading one devil for another.

62 Oliver Anthony shows there is still a significant pool of voters both parties are still ignoring.
Deep beneath the hatred of Trump is the real terror: That he may actually turn populist.
I don't think Trump will be the nominee though. The nominee hasn't been announced.
But, meanwhile, Democrats--fairly or unfairly--are using DeSantis support as a barometer for general Republican support of their prosecution of Trump.
Silly 11th dimension chess thinking would suggest he is deliberately tanking his campaign as the trap has now been sprung.
Which leads back to Trump completing his hostile takeover of the GOP by next spring.
And the 1st thing a corporate raider does after his hostile takeover is install his own CEO--which will be a populist ....

Her daughter who we watched grow up being only two years behind our son in school stopped and stayed over last night with us on her journey from the great northeast to her university in Tampa.

Now we have not seen this young lady for over six years, and she is going into her Junior year in college, so she has been deeply submerged in the modern education system for a while.

103 RE" The Brave New World of AI, from Shoe Design to Colonoscopies

"Henry I. Miller, a physician and molecular biologis...was the founding director of the FDA’s Office of Biotechnology.

In other words, a cheerleader for AI?
The problem with Dr. Miller's push for more and earlier and more sensitive screening tests is that it creeps ever closer to a philosophy of "cut it out before it has a chance to become a disease". This happens with elective mastectomies for certain genetic markers for breast cancer. It also has happened with elective amputations of limbs in delusional individuals.

AI detection for colon cancer will likely become an unprovable self-fulfilling prophecy (identify it, remove it before it is cancer, therefore it must have been "pre"-cancerous) to the point of clinical uselessness, as eventually every normal cell in the human body has the potential to become cancerous. How do you limit the lowering of the threshold for detection so that it remains a clinically useful tool?

If there's one thing that COVID taught the authorities, it's that interested private citizens are *very* good at banding together to assess data, go find out stuff, argue brutally with eachother, and find answers. This must be stopped because their generally high-quality work has the nasty habit of being counter-narrative.

The infamous paper about amateur COVID analysis from the MIT Data Science department made this clear: the problem isn't low-quality work (to the contrary, the work product was excellent), the problem is that they reach politically incorrect conclusions. The best solution to the problem is to withhold raw data.

My first thought was that this is a walk-back of the 2021 prediction from some that anyone who received the shot would be dead within two years, since that has obviously not happened.
You didn't die because you didn't really get the shot.

Possible reasons:
- an experiment to see how many people would comply
- an experiment to determine the kill/injury/sterilization
rate, w/o making it too obvious
- Grift in accepting money without the product.

I'm going with my first thought above about failed predictions.

Concur. Was the vax high-risk? I think it probably was - but context matters. COVID was also high-risk. Was the vax higher-risk than COVID? I think it probably was, as COVID had mutated to be a much tamer thing by the time the vax came out. All of this can be argued - and has been and will continue to be argued - more or less forever.

All that aside, however, neither was a guaranteed death sentence. "Everyone who gets the shot is going to die" was no more sensible than "everyone who gets COVID is going to die" was. The legitimate criticisms of the vax (cardiac complications, reproductive complications, inefficacy, absence of controls, absence of anything approaching objective risk assessment, corruption, deceit, etc.) were and remain true and the vax should have been recalled. But visions of a mass conspiracy at play because it didn't end up that 100% of the recipients died or were sterilized makes little sense to me.

Much like in the eastern block countries when you know your government and news media are lying to you, but you don't fully understand why, you tend to believe whatever explanations are offered.

The data we have is that there were massive side effects in the general population. There were far fewer side effects among the inner party - I think the only one that caught news coverage of any sort was Newsom.

So how do you square those two data points? There are 4 potential answers

1) The elites were lucky
2) The elites got a different shot, though in this case since we know Pfizer/Moderns maintained separate production lines in some countries that seems more likely then just pure saline
3) The shots given were not "defrosted" under the correct protocol which renders them inert when given

I tend to favor #3 which also explains the data around some batches being more dangerous then others.

199 The single most damning thing I saw from the Maui fire, was an interview with somebody who tried to drive out of the area to escape the flames. He got caught in a line of traffic, abandoned his car and walked miles to the head of the traffic jam. There he found a police officer who told him he had been ordered to stop the traffic coming from the fire area. All of the cars in the traffic jam burned up. Anyone who didn't follow his lead and walk out died.

That has no bearing on his numerous crimes and excesses, and as with the repeated sob stories an=bout Beau, it only makes me less sympathetic. According to Dr. Peter McCullough, only about 15% of people have adverse effects from the vax. He states that his 92-year-old mother-in-law has had several shots with no ill effects. Unfortunately, many of the 15% who do have problems, have very, very serious issues, including death.

203 ...but context matters. COVID was also high-risk. Was the vax higher-risk than COVID? I think it probably was, as COVID had mutated to be a much tamer thing by the time the vax came out.

COVID was statistically zero risk to school age children.

OTOH, if someone jams a bunch of people at death's door into a confined building and drops in someone with COVID to intermingle with untrained staff, COVID is enough to shove people into the grave (dittos with falls, bad meds, traditional flu, poor nutrition, etc.)

The Vaxx, among children and young adults is providing unacceptable levels of myocardia; life insurance claims among working age adults is at wartime death levels.

Even recently, USA Today is asking why Gen-Z is dying off, and not from COVID.

In Soviet America he is a wheel in the cog, and he has orders from his superiors that he will follow whether they make sense or not.

Loads of people made exactly this claim, even on this forum. The vax was going to kill or sterilize you and destroy your immune system and a vast majority of the people who got it were going to suffer severe consequences as a result.

No, nobody that I am aware said literally that every single person who got the shot would die as a result. That was admittedly hyperbolic. A lot of people in various venues, however, did assume disastrous consequences on average, for most. That didn't happen. The vax was dangerous and its rollout was reckless and the state and Big Pharma lied about it continuously, but it has (thankfully) not been as bad as the worst-case speculation.

And that doesn't mean that it turns out that a lot of people or most people got saline instead of the real shot.

I forget what was the precipitating action, but probably a tree limb, but I came upon a downed wire on my street once. It was whipping around on the ground, sparks all around, and nearby vegetation was in flames. The fire company came out, put out the fire, and put an orange traffic cone in the area. Eventually the power company fixed the line.

My bet is that the utility poles in Maui were inadequately maintained and some of them went over in the winds because of climate change.

Covid WAS NOT high risk. Witness the Diamond Princess Cruise Ship with mostly old people (February cruise - middle of school year, not many families & kids), 3200 passengers locked down on top of each other with only 11 deaths.

If those are used in the West, the initial efficacy would likely be extremely high. People don't think about it here.

I was out a couple of days ago and at the intersection with the main road, there was a jumbo-sized fast food cup sitting on the center line. As I approached it, I thought, "this is probably some asshole's littler. It could be a small IED, but that is unlikely here. I am safe, and am just going to clean up the litter." I rolled up to it, picked up the trash, and that was that.

But how many people would even have had a thought beyond, "some asshole littered?" Virtually nobody. That is a lesson that will be learned quickly - with one hell of a body count - if the tactic finds its way into western cities. If Americans are smart, they'll take the lesson from Europe because it will start there. Most people won't.

Early on I went to a forum supposedly for pharma-researchers to see what they had to say.

Someone asked how they knew the shot was safe. The answer? We don't and won't for years since there haven't been human trials. But you should take it anyway.

Which is a terrible, terrible answer. Even at the time the risk from COVID was assessed at some multiple of the yearly flu. Taking a brand new untested gene therapy to supposedly "stop the spread" is a completely unreasonable risk.

Which is much higher risk than without COVID. And in areas with weak people (cruise ships tend to be full of reasonably healthy people, albeit fairly old as compared to the wider population) like nursing homes, it was worse.

COVID's risks were not general. Specific factors (advanced age, obesity, vitamin deficiency, etc.) made it much worse in specific populations. But unless you were young and healthy, the risks of COVID were meaningfully higher than the baselines risks absent COVID. In no case were the risks great enough to justify the response or the approach to the vax authorization and rollout.

Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at August 23, 2023 09:18 AM (t0OGg)

280 Loads of people made exactly this claim, even on this forum. The vax was going to kill or sterilize you and destroy your immune system and a vast majority of the people who got it were going to suffer severe consequences as a result.

OK, I can give you that, but we aren't talking about anybody who would actually know anything about medicine at that level making the claim.

He made it acceptable in GOP circles to be racist and homophobic. I don’t think that sways more than 1/3 to a 1/4 of our citizenry, but that was enough to capture a party dominated by the South and angry white men who are stuck in depressed rural areas.

Trump gave evangelicals a huge win with his SC appointments. He also filled other federal courts with right-wing extremists who support changing the US to theocratic rule. His cult doesn’t even see all the damage he did, both domestically and globally with other world leaders.

Why is Trump winning over all the other Republicans? Because none of the other Republicans are running against him (set aside Christie, Hurd and Hutchinson as marginal candidates).

The only one I'd argue is the middle one. All governments - like all human institutions - are corrupt. The key difference is in severity. Not all governments are outrageously corrupt. My local city is fairly good and honest. I am sure that at least one councilman is getting a kickback somewhere, though. It's the nature of the beast. Not all governments, however, are hopelessly corrupt to the point of becoming entirely predatory.

Which is perhaps the point. It's all shorthand.

I have gone back and forth on this point for quite a while now and have concluded that Biden is in full blown dementia (duh) but is still able to instinctively recall fifty years of political brawling and smearing when prompted; much in the manner that Tony Bennett at the end was able to knock out a perfect "I Left My Heart In San Francisco." What he can no longer pull off his the illusion that he is compassionate or cares two shits about governing for the greater good. What is left is his core nature, the one that has always been there, that he is pathologically addicted to political power, who uses pathological lies to pump up his public image as a decent average joe and masks that he uses people without regard to the consequences to further all that, and that he has unbounded financial greed with Hunter Biden being the penultimate expression of his primal self serving nature, duplicity, and defines him as a complete bastard.

Which is a terrible, terrible answer. Even at the time the risk from COVID was assessed at some multiple of the yearly flu. Taking a brand new untested gene therapy to supposedly "stop the spread" is a completely unreasonable risk.

Anyone that paid attention knew that there were risks to the vaxx in 2021. Unfortunately, I have genetic issues from autoimmune issues that put me in the situation where I felt I was in between the devil and deep blue sea. I took the J&J as the lesser of evils. Since then, multiple issues with my autoimmune problems (inflammatory arthritis) and a damage immune system measured by blood tests (I have a long record of these as a result of prior autoimmune treatments).

338 305 I have gone back and forth on this point for quite a while now and have concluded that Biden is in full blown dementia (duh) but is still able to instinctively recall fifty years of political brawling and smearing when prompted; much in the manner that Tony Bennett at the end was able to knock out a perfect "I Left My Heart In San Francisco." What he can no longer pull off his the illusion that he is compassionate or cares two shits about governing for the greater good.

I agree with you. It appears the Handlers keep putting Joe out there to show he's alive and to let him repeat his fantasy stories to keep them fresh in his mind, so he can say something.

I am sorry to hear this, whig.

the only nice thing about my Moderna-caused "instant RA" is that I know without a doubt it was a vax injury so I don't have to sit around worrying if vax injuries are real. I know they are.

343 Gov. J.B. "Sitz-" Pritzker Welcomes Hostile Foreign Spies Into Illinois’ Police Force

Chicago's PD has had a bad reputation forever. In the 70's, young people were warned, when going to Chicago, to strictly obey traffic laws (cops looked for Wisconsin and Indiana plates) and to have cash on hand (coughbribecough) to be able to get home. I know of young men (well, they were young THEN) who got roughed up.

So, "Hostile Foreign Spies" just might be a rung up.

I would not wish RA on anyone. Watch out for some of the injectable treatments if you have a family history of lymphoma as these injectables raise the risk of it.

Funny thing is that I have had Covid three times since vaxx--each time in January due to spouse bringing it home from job. Each time, severe bp spikes lasting for months plus post covid infections--bronchitis, pneumonia, and bronchitis.

Next time you have blood work, ask for an IGG subtype analysis---Covid vaxx and the virus itself seem to focus on IGG3 and IGG4--IGG3 affects resistance to virus infection and IGG4 bacterial.
You can have a normal profile on regular tests but have issues with the two subtypes above.

346 "What are the valid treatment options once you get it? (not vaccines)
Posted by: Lizzy"

Number one: optimize your baseline health prior both before and during infection, and all that entails: good exercise habits, lose excess weight, good diet/metabolism/minimize diabetic metabolism, sleep, fluids.

Your immune system should do the rest.
And for added insurance: D, zinc, C and maybe some of the other supplements like Quercitin.

And Ivermectin (very early in infection) seems to knock back viral load and lower complications.

For the same reasons, antiseptic (or salt) gargles early in infection probably wouldn't hurt.

I think everything I just said is well demonstrated, and consistent with very well travelled physiology. It ain't rocket surgery.

348 Yes, ordinary people need to wake up and realize that they have voted themselves into tyranny.

But they need a leader. The GOP is a dead, toothless party that shares in the crumbs that the Dems leave them from the table.

- an experiment to see how many people would comply

- Grift in accepting money without the product.

I do think that quite a few of the elites got saline since few or none got any sort of prompt side effects or caught covid. They got real or took bootleg ivermectin to avoid dying from it.

I certainly didn't get a placebo since it gave me instant effects but it didn't kill me or give me covid.

355 In Medieval combat, a force besieging a town would have battalions of indigent unarmed beggars that would be given full run of the town should the town not surrender to the new order.
Posted by: Puddinhead at August 23, 2023 09:25 AM (sVfvf)

Oh it was worse than that by the civilized rules of war post medieval. Once the city was 'invested' - enough men around it to keep supply out and them in the beseigers had to work trenches close enough for cannon to start knocking down the walls. Once they did that and made a 'practical breach' they called on the defenders to surrender. If they did the defenders would march out to the next fort, and the populace was protected. If the defenders had to storm the breach, the life of every man, woman, and child inside was forfeit to the whims of the attacking general.
