Back in January of 2019 Hi Point Firearms announced a new 9mm and had a now-infamous naming contest on social media for the pistol. In the grand tradition of Boaty McBoatface, that resulted in an overwhelming vote to name the new gun the Yeet Cannon, or YC9…much to Hi-Point's chagrin.

huh I don't know, I didn't follow it. if they did default, i dunno, sometimes a judge avoids making a ruling, like ruling that they lose because they defaulted, and leaves it to a jury, thinking that if the jury rules against them, then he doesn't need to make his own ruling (which could be reversed). >>>The law is for the judge, the facts are for the jury.
generally but a judge can enter his own verdict. it's called a directed verdict when he enters it before the jury deliberates, or JNOV if he sets aside the verdict after they enter it: Judgment notwithstanding the verdict, also called judgment non obstante veredicto, or JNOV, is a type of judgment as a matter of law that is sometimes rendered at the conclusion of a jury trial. In American state courts, JNOV is the practice whereby the presiding judge in a civil jury trial may overrule the decision of a jury and reverse or amend their verdict. In literal terms, the judge enters a judgment notwithstanding the jury verdict. The rarely granted intervention permits the judge to exercise discretion to avoid extreme and unreasonable jury decisions.[citation needed] In civil cases in U.S. federal court, the term was replaced in 1991 by the renewed judgment as a matter of law, which emphasizes its relationship to the judgment as a matter of law, formerly called a directed verdict.[1] Posted by: ace at August 21, 2023 07:36 PM (KRtlO) 60

this is done when the judge feels that as a matter of LAW (there you go with the law is for judges) the evidence for one side is so clearly in favor of one party that it would be a miscarriage of justice to allow a contrary judgment to stand.
you don't hear about this much because judges don't do it, barely ever. However, at the end of every trial, you will hear lawyers asking for a directed verdict in their client's favor. Posted by: ace at August 21, 2023 07:38 PM (KRtlO) 63

Yes you read that correctly. This is what happens when thieves gain control. They make sure they stay in forever. I write to advise you that Arizona statutes do not give counties this authority." @KevinMoncla spotted this atrocity 👏 This is how you do a forced takeover with nothing but money, techies, media, and the skin suits of the institutions. The nice thing about the Mafia is that they do eventually abandon it.
Trouble is, the classic final act is to burn the building down to collect the insurance Posted by: azjaeger at August 21, 2023 09:36 PM (3/XaG) 293
This doesn't resemble a totalitarian revolution as much as it resembles the Mafia looting a business until it crumbles then abandoning it.

> Funny how climate change looks an awful lot like arson.
_________________ Satellite imagery of the Canadian fires this past June/July make one wonder... fires popping up all at once, and not a single comment from the regime up north about all that. Our chickens do that, too. The wild blue birds and yellow finches use the water bath. Haven't seen robins, sparrows, or cardinals do either. Posted by: Question Authority bumper sticker at August 21, 2023 09:40 PM (Rbu5d) 298

Iced Earth - Damien
https://youtu.be/gE-Bs32Alyc Posted by: Robert at August 21, 2023 09:46 PM (1Yy3c) Love Iced Earth. Jon Schaffer made the mistake of being an American. Got fooked bigly. partly why I just keep my fool mouth shut for now. Going gray has its benefits. But it's different from giving up. *sniffs* *winks* I love the instrumental 1776.
