AoSHQ Weekly Prayer List

Please submit any prayer requests to me, “Annie’s Stew” at apaslo atsign hotmail dot com. Prayer
requests are generally removed after four weeks unless we receive an update.

Prayer Requests:
7/8 – Emmie asked for prayers. Her husband is having a pacemaker implanted on Tuesday. She asks for prayers for a successful procedure, a full recovery, and improved energy and function.
7/22 Update – Emmie’s husband’s pacemaker surgery went well and he recovered quickly. His doctor has suggested quite a few medications, which may not all be appropriate, so they plan to get a second opinion on that.
7/13 – FenelonSpoke requested prayers for Dr. M and his medical team, for his upcoming heart surgery.
7/14 – Inogame asked for prayers for health for his wife and her developing condition. He also sends thanks for the Horde’s prayers for his wife in the past.
7/15 – Polliwog asked for prayers for her son (age 23) who is suddenly losing weight and might have diabetes. However, his son will not see a doctor or even discuss the subject. He also could be depressed – he has been ghosting his fiancé. Prayers for his fiancé (who is understandably hurt) and for him, that he would let people help him.
7/15 – Vmom asked for prayers for her husband, that God may lead him to our Lord Jesus Christ.
7/15 – Coelacanth sent thanks for the prayers of the Horde for his son Cam, who has returned to the family and has graduated from a very tough Masters program. However, he was recently diagnosed with POTS (Positional Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome). His balance is off and he gets winded on a short flight of stairs. He has faith that this is all still part of God’s plan.
8/5 Update – His condition is improving, although he is still limited. Found out that his neat little apartment was grossly contaminated with several types of mold which may have contributed to his condition. His new job is going well.
7/22 – Donna&&&&& would appreciate prayers, as she found out she has breast cancer. It was caught early and is slow-growing, so she is optimistic.
8/5 Update – Her lumpectomy surgery is scheduled for August 16.
7/22 – Dash my lace wigs posted that she and her husband could use some prayers. He had an incident involving too much drink, too many stairs, too much anger, and The Law. He is on court-ordered sobriety, and she thanks Jesus for that, but sees a long and difficult recovery ahead. She prays that he succeeds, and that she will have the strength to stand with him through it.
8/5 – Thanks to all who continue to pray for them; her husband has 3 weeks sober. Thank you, Lord.

7/24 – The DMV MGC is requesting Moron prayers that strength, endurance, and peace may be granted to blaster, Sra blaster, and her sister, as they face a rough family situation that several others among the horde are currently facing as well as others that have already faced, or will eventually, face. Sra blaster’s
mother is not doing well either physically or emotionally and is also suffering from
dementia/Alzheimer’s. She is being cared for by both her daughters right now in Florida and very dependent upon them but needs healing and home care (which is hard to come by in Florida). Prayers for her recovery and ability to resume some level of independent living would be appreciated.
7/29 – Village Idiot’s Apprentice updated the Horde on the good news of his dad’s recovery. On 7/22, he was non-verbal and incapable of controlled muscle movement. He could still communicate with facial expressions and his eyes. On 7/29, he packed up his walker, folded and loaded his clothes and announced he was ready to go home. It looks like he had sepsis that knocked him loopy, as well as the UTI.
7/29 – Thefritz asked for prayers for his son-in-law and his daughter, P.R.T and C.G.T. His son-in-law found a lump in a testicle and the doctors have ordered surgery. They have been trying to get pregnant and recently miscarried. They have been married less than two years, so this has left them fearful for his life and a future with biological children. Thefritz asks, “Dear Lord, please bring healing and calm to them. Give them strength together to deal with this. In Jesus’ name, I pray.” He also thanks the Horde in advance for their healing prayers.
8/3 – Tonypete asked for prayers for his friend Mike, who suffers from bone cancer and the disease has reached the end stages. Mike is very low and probably cannot hang on much longer. Prayers are also requested for his dear wife Judy. She has been a magnificent caregiver throughout Mike’s troubles. She is terrified that the final days have arrived and, as a very private person, it is very difficult for her to
share her worries with anyone.
8/3 – Goddessoftheclassroom asked for prayers. She said she is hurting so much, on the fourth anniversary of her elder son’s death.
8/4 – San Franpsycho updated the Horde on his buddy Paul’s medical status. So far, all treatments are ineffective and his tumor remains inoperable. He is a candidate for a drug trial at Mt. Sinai and they hope to hear soon if he was accepted. So far he is hanging in there!
8/5 – Screaming in digital heard that her sister-in-law’s mother is in ER with breathing problems. Prayers are appreciated.
8/5 – Grammie Winger said she would appreciate any prayers for her son.
8/5 – Mindful Webworker had some requests: MiladyJo has her first hip replacement surgery scheduled for the end of August. Praying it all goes well and she’ll be out of pain. While they were repairing GoodsonM’s busted leg, they saw heart problems. The cardiologist told him if he’d get his blood pressure down and lose some weight, he should be okay. So far he has dropped a bunch of weight, which is encouraging. Prayers for peace and happiness for Daughter and her husband. With MiladyJo and GoodsonM both being somewhat in capacitated, Daughter has been a huge help to them (driving, dog care, etc.) SonC, his wife, and their two kids (oldest just turned 6) remain estranged – and strange. No visits or contact for almost 2 years.
8/5 – RedMindBlueState provided an update on his buddy’s wife. Her cancer is stage 3. The surgery went well, but she’s in for a lot of chemo over the next 6 months. Thank you for all the prayers.
8/6 – Cybersmythe requests prayers for Parnell to recover from his cancer.

 Romans 8:26-27
26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

3 Please send up a prayer for Gabriella, a lovely young lady, with great promise, who was transferred from the hospital in Puerto Rico to one in Tampa to get advanced treatment for a very aggressive cancer. This past week this new treatment seems to be extremely effective and she has made a remarkable recovery. She is not out of the woods yet and still needs prayer support, but her outlook has improved so much that the hospital staff were celebrating it!

29 Happy weekend, Horde! I'm about to retrieve cup #2, and maybe make a breakfast sandwich, before heading to the range. I'm teaching a couple of ladies, at least one of whom has never fired a gun, how to handle firearms safely. I guess my prayer is that I come home with the same number of holes in my body that I started the day with. After that, I have some yard work to do, then MAYBE I'll get a chance to throw an antenna up in the air and try to make my first real-world Morse code contact. We'll see how the day goes.

Heh. Possibly, but I know I'm not the best cook and I don't enjoy cooking very much (except for casseroles). I rarely read the food thread because it makes me feel inadequate :-)

Lately I've been trying some of those meal kits. My efforts don't look like the pictures, but taste pretty good. However, when Home Chef says "oven ready" it doesn't really mean you take it out of the fridge and put it right in the oven...

"Rates of erectile dysfunction among US men have nearly doubled to 30MILLION in recent years, data suggests - and progressive states are behind the rise....... most recent figures suggest an estimated 30 million American men now live with erectile dysfunction - nearly twice as many in the early 2000s.

Around a quarter of under-40s are though to struggle to get it up in bed, which has been linked to a rise in obesity rates, poor mental health, and an overconsumption of pornography. "

We eventually sold it to the local utility, which was paying big bucks for old appliances.

Absolutely. It actually is a wonder drug for a lot of ailments. When my wife had covid her BP was super high. I knew that viagra is also prescribed for BP. So I ground down a pill, mixed it with water and had her sip it over the course of hours till her BP was back in normal range. Had to continue over the course of a few days.

There was a nurse in the UK in a coma after covid. 30 days in a coma. As last ditch effort they gave her viagra. Bingo. Up and walking around the next day.

I have an old R12 stand up I might start using. They were doing $100 gift cards a few years ago here for those but I kept mine. Had it full at the time. Bought the one that died about 8 years ago and rotated the food out of the stand up. Bought and filled the newer one at the great toilet paper shortage of 2020.

195 Our house in California didn't have a disposal in the kitchen sink. The washer and dryer were in the garage. The main drain would get clogged with lint, soap scum, grease and.... tree roots every year. The drain pipe was "orange peel" (cast iron IIRC). Same guy would come out and pull a 5 gal bucket's worth of crap out of that drain every year.

Posted by: Martini Farmer at August 12, 2023 10:40 AM (Q4IgG)

196 About twice a year I squirt a healthy amount of dish detergent into the kitchen kitchen sink drain then put in a stopper and completely fill the sink with water (preferably hot).
Then after I remove the stopper I run the garbage disposal for a few seconds.
Water that deep creates a fair amount of pressure and helps flush the drain line.
Kinda like chicken soup when you don't feel well: couldn't hurt.

237 In some upbeat news, last weekend I decided it was time to baptize the grandkids. My daughter had agreed to it, but took no action.

So I did the deed at home. This is something of an offbeat family tradition. When I entered the Church, there was no record of my baptism, but both my mother and grandmother had told me that they baptized me in secret shortly after I was born. My grandmother did it because my parents married in a Unitarian church and she was not going to have a pagan grandson. My mother did it because her defiance of her upbringing only went so far.

As a result, I got a conditional baptism. The grandkids' baptism was documented though, with time, date, witnesses and the exact form I used.

For clogged drainlines, I use Green Gobbler Industrial Strength Gel. Pour and let sit overnight w/ no use of the sink or tied-in sinks/toilets. Flush with hot water. Says is liquifies grease and hair clogs and other gunk. Also septic safe.

Once upon a time I needed chunks of concrete to shore up a road over an eroding culvert, and being young and full of energy I used a maul to break up an dug up sidewalk to haul off and stack it in the gully. Saved the home owner some money on his sidewalk replacement, and saved me the cost of a load of rock.
There is a trick to it, you can't just bash on it, you need to run a "crack"
The best thing is to get a front end loader or the like and just peel it up. Diesel is the best solution if it will fit.

OK, I'll come back. Went to pick up suit at the "dry store" cleaners dropoff, due back last Thurs. Well, we don't actually guarantee when they'll come back. Try again next week? Well, I'll just pick up a spare vape stick, and some cigs for my hired hand for the time I'll be gone. They're out. Ended up being surprised they could print a lotto ticket.

I don't know why anybody is even driving around in my little city today. You can't buy anything.

The way the Republican Party has attacked President Biden and his family is disgusting. Biden never went so low as to go after Trump’s family. Neither did Obama. Neither did Clinton. Democrats don’t need to take the low blows on Republicans. We can run on policy and win.

These mofos were on trump's shit the minute he came down the elevator and then for the next 4 years and are STILL fucking with him. This asshole proves the dems are the most evil entity to ever walk the earth. In their minds what they did and are doing to trump is on the up and up and right as rain.

All I know is, I drive down the road, see all these businesses up and down the road... now the Walgreens and fast food joints, I get it. People go there. Gas stations, medical facilities, sure. What I don't get is all the specialty shops of one sort or another, ones that only sell knee braces or Volkswagon hubcaps, or repair Magnovox 30" tv's... how do they stay in business? Are they all fronts for sex trafficking and narcoterrorists?
