Tucker Re-Interviews Former Chief of the Capitol Police Steven Sund -- the Interview That Fox Fired Tucker Over

Sund was the chief of the Capitol Police on January 6th. He is obviously an important first-hand witness to what happened that day, particularly regarding behind-the-scenes negligence and... connivance?

But Fox News decided that the public doesn't have the right to hear his insights and observations.

Fox News is "real news" like CNN is real news.

Leah Barkouikis at Townhall gathered up the key clips from the 55 minute interview.

Here is some of the important first-hand accounting of that day that Fox "News" decided the public must not know:

Collin Rugg
@CollinRugg

BREAKING: Former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund suggests to Tucker Carlson that General Milley and Acting Secretary of Defense Chris Miller were involved in a coverup on January 6th.

Well well well...

Sund reveals that military leaders were so worried about January 6th that they were considering locking down the city but then mysteriously kept quiet to Sund.

"On Sunday and Monday, they had been discussing locking down the city... because of the concern for violence. You know who issues the permits on Capitol Hill for demonstrations?"

"I do," Sund said.

"You know, who wasn't told? Me. Instead, on January 4th, what does Miller do? He puts out a memo restricting the National Guard from carrying the various weapons, any weapons, any civil disobedience equipment that would be utilized for the very demonstrations or violence that he sees coming. It just doesn't make any sense."

It's almost as if they wanted J6 to happen...

That clip here.

Disturbing Chain of Events Makes Damning Case That January 6 Was Allowed to Happen

Steven Sund, the former Chief of the Capitol Police, was left in the dark in the crucial days leading up to January 6. This communication breakdown, whether intentional or unintentional, hamstrung the response to January 6:

* Before January 6, regular conference calls were hosted by Metropolitan Police. No intelligence was shared about potential threats to the Capitol or harm to Congress members or police officers.

* On January 5, around 1:00 p.m., A conference call coordinated by Steven Sund, the Chief of Capitol Police, included leaders from the Metropolitan Police Department, Steven D'Antuono (Director of the FBI's Washington Field Office), General Omar Jones (Military District of Washington), and General William Walker (Head of the National Guard). No one on the call expressed concerns about the intelligence or potential threats. The head of the Metropolitan Police Department also did not receive specific threat notifications.

* However, a Senate report released in July revealed that Steve D'Antuono received multiple emails on Sunday (January 3), Monday (January 4), and possibly Tuesday (January 5) about potential violence at the Capitol. This was not communicated to the Chief of Capitol Police during their video call.

* The U.S. military, including Acting Secretary of Defense Miller and General Milley, discussed the possibility of locking down Washington, D.C., due to concerns about violence. Despite concerns, Miller issued a memo on January 4 restricting the National Guard from carrying weapons or civil disobedience equipment for January 5 and 6. This affected the National Guard in Virginia and Maryland.

* On January 6, as violence erupted, the Chief of Capitol Police sought assistance, but the National Guard's response was initially restricted due to the January 4 memo. Governor Hogan of Maryland also expressed frustration at being denied permission to respond by the Pentagon.

He also said that the brass was so slow in permitting the National Guard to act that cops showed up from New Jersey, making the long drive down to DC, to begin assisting the DC police before National Guardsmen were allowed to retrieve their anti-riot gear from the armory.

That clip here.

Nancy Pelosi was a key actor in deliberately stopping the National Guard from restoring order:

The Vigilant Fox 🦊
@VigilantFox

Steven Sund Exposes Nancy Pelosi's Role in the Delayed National Guard Response on January 6

@TuckerCarlson: "So this is an event that Pelosi herself has likened to Pearl Harbor and 9/11 -- the worst thing that's ever happened on American soil. And she's in charge of allowing the National Guard to come in and respond, but she doesn't for 71 minutes? What is that?"

That clip here.

I have been very skeptical of claims that Pelosi and Milley and Miller deliberately permitted -- or encouraged -- the riots of January 6th just to make the MAGA brand toxic and finally be rid of a political movement they despised. I was convinced their was negligence and a cover-up of that negligence, but I did not believe that any of this was actually intentional.

I have now been convinced that intentionality is now a very viable explanation for what happened. I'm not convinced that Pelosi, Milley, and Miller schemed to make this happen just to destroy MAGA. I'm still skeptical that people scheme so ruthlessly and diabolically, and further doubt they even have the ability to execute such plans.

Especially the sorts of malignant incompetents such as these. Heckuva job in Afghanistan, Milley.

But I no longer reject this explanation. Enough evidence is present to make this a very valid theory which must be investigated:

The Vigilant Fox
@VigilantFox

JUST IN - @TuckerCarlson Questions if Federal Agencies Allowed January 6 to Happen for Political Gain

According to Former Chief of the Capitol Police, Steven Sund, Federal agencies had intelligence suggesting the potential for violence leading up to January 6, including threats against officers, potential use of chemicals, and plans to storm buildings.

Despite this, none of these details were included in the intelligence assessments. Instead, documents from Sund's former intelligence unit on January 4th, 5th, and 6th indicated a low probability of civil disobedience.

@TuckerCarlson remarked, "So, if you were, and I'm not, but if you were conspiracy-minded, you might think that certain agencies concluded there was likely be chaos at the Capitol, and that served their political purposes. And so, they let it happen, and they prevented you from stopping it."

It is very strange that the feds are so protective of the Chief Insurrectionist Ray Epps.

Ray Epps' lawyer: Joe Rogan is more responsible for January 6th than my client, who repeatedly urged protesters to enter the Capitol and was right at the front of the line when barricades where disassembled.

I wonder who's paying Ray Epps' lawyer.

The full interview here:

Conveniently enough, Pelosi's January 6 committee broke the law and "Failed to preserve" -- destroyed -- all of its records so that no one can check up on what they actually heard from witnesses.

FIRST ON FOX: The House select committee that investigated the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021 failed to adequately preserve documents, data and video depositions -- including communications it had with the Biden White House that are still missing -- according to the Republican lawmaker overseeing the GOP investigation into the committee's work.

The now-disbanded "J6" committee, which was run by Democrats and included only two GOP members, has also failed to provide any evidence that it looked into Capitol Hill security failures on the day of the riot, Rep. Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga., chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight for the Committee on House Administration, told Fox News Digital.

They just happened to "fail to preserve" information that might confirm Sund's allegations.

Whoops!

Whoopsie!

Loudermilk said his staff has had difficulty gathering all the information it needs to investigate Rep. Bennie Thompson's handling of the J6 investigation.

"Part of our task as this oversight subcommittee is to actually address the security failures, look into how did it happen... how were these folks able to get into the Capitol," Loudermilk said. He said the documents they obtained came over in boxes and was completely unorganized.

"Nothing was indexed. There was no table of contents index. Usually when you conduct this level of investigation, you use a database system and everything is digitized, indexed. We got nothing like that. We just got raw data," he said. "So it took us a long time going through it and one thing I started realizing is we don't have anything much at all from the Blue Team."

The "Blue Team," as described by Loudermilk, represents the group within the J6 committee that was directed to investigate security failures at the Capitol. Loudermilk explained that sources have told him the Blue Team was essentially "shut down" by the committee in order to focus on placing the blame on former President Trump.

"We've got lots of depositions, we've got lots of subpoenas, we've got video and other documents provided through subpoenas by individuals. But we're not seeing anything from the Blue Team as far as reports on the investigation they did looking into the actual breach itself," he said.<

"What we also realized we didn't have was the videos of all the depositions," Loudermilk added.

That's from Fox "News." Gee thanks for transcribing an interview. You're really going all-out to provide your viewers with the best, most penetrating investigative reporting.

What other critical, newsworthy stories has Fox "News's" mostly-female, all-liberal executive corps decided that its viewers should not be allowed to see?

Not only must a possible conspiracy behind the true architects of J6 -- Pelosi, Milley, Miller -- be investigated, to determine if their authorship of the chaos was merely negligent or criminally intended -- but Fox "News" must be made to answer why they decided to censor the news as hard as CNN censored the Hunter Biden laptop story.

I've never understood Ace's -- and otherwise smart, conservative people's -- skepticism of this. It was blatantly obvious to me from the get.

Now, am I sure the reason for this permission and encouragement was to "make the MAGA brand toxic and finally be rid of a political movement they despised"? No. But they wanted and encouraged chaos and riots and bloodshed and death. They figured (correctly) that if that happened, they could build a narrative out of it. And they did.

Imagine if J6 turned out to be the truly deadly bloodbath they wanted it to be . . . .

Concerning Trump, obviously he was betrayed by his own appointees, such as Pence. To his merit, DeSantis seems to be surrounded by a loyal team and to inspire loyalty. However, don't you think that once the Democrats are done with Trump and make an example out of him they'll turn on DeSantis or whoever is next? On the national stage the stakes are higher. Bribery, blackmail, flattery, once the Washington bureaucracy sets its sights on DeSantis' aides, he may be left with few people to trust.
Isn't it better to stand up for Trump now, rather than promising that next time will be better?

Where the fuck have you been?!?!?!

Look at the George Floyd Riots in Minneapolis!!!

Memorial Day night was peaceful. By Tuesday afternoon they were looting and burning a Target store ten miles away. And the Mayor Frey and Governor Walz did jack.

There were four fucking nights of riots -TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY -before they finally called out enough National Guard troops to control the mobs of looters and arsonists.

By then? The Blue Shitholes across the country were in flames.

The Democrats want riots and disorder. They want people scared and giving them power.

I'm happy to name the stupid shit. It starts with trusting a lot of the wrong people. I can put that on him even though I think some of those wrong people didn't start wrong but were coerced "eight ways to Sunday".

Thing is everyone does stupid shit, I'm just used to Republicans ONLY doing stupid shit. And purposely aiding Democrats. And insulting the base. And lying to me to benefit themselves. And pandering to me. And pandering to Democrats. And not fighting obviously false narratives, leaving us to try and do it. And waiting until the wind blows to form an opinion.

She instead seemed poised to impose a more limited protective order that would bar the public release only of materials deemed “sensitive,” such as grand jury materials.

Then in all the Jan 6th "investigations" those two crucial aspects were completely ignored.

The only reason you wouldn't call in more security is A) you want violence or B) you don't want your people getting caught (though i guess it can be A and B too)

Saw a new video for the first time yesterday, reposted by someone like EndWokeness or someone similar, of a guy in all black and a mask tearing out windows in the Capitol, while maskless guys in flag apparel tried to stop him, until he began threatening them. When Tenny claimed the injunction's wording was so broad and vague it could ban the government from alerting the public about "untrue statements" about a natural disaster, Judge Don Willett countered that documented private conversations were the issue.

Federal officials appeared to practice "fairly unsubtle strong-arming" and make "not-so-veiled threats" in the vein of "this is a really nice social media platform you've got there, would be a shame if something happened to it," Willett said.

Tenny, upon hearing what the judges appeared to be interpreting as coercive pressure, tried to soft pedal the severity of that pressure. "The government is generically going to be angry" when companies resist taking action, but the communications show officials and companies alternating between "friendly" and "testy" conversations, not specific orders to comply "or else."

Judge Elrod didn't seem particularly convinced, telling Tenny that "Or else" isn't required when the government and companies have a "very close working relationship" that resembles a supervisor addressing a subordinate.

There's a third possibility: many politicians don't have a spine and the Washington bureaucracy's threats and promises proved effective in inducing Trump's appointees to work against him and his goals. Also, many may have had their own goals, e.g. they were more faithful to the Bush family, which clearly worked against Trump. Possibly, there were just a few incorruptible people and those were neutralized (Flynn? Bannon?).

"So when all Israel saw that the king hearkened not unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: to your tents, O Israel: now see to thine own house, David. So Israel departed unto their tents. "

And that is it - you will never, ever hear another word about Hunter or Biden for another 7 years - "under investigation and can't reveal anything pertaining to this investigation right now" will be the go-to defense for burying this, like forever.

Ace, was John Bolton a good pick? We THOUGHT he was at the time, didn't we?

I've been in government for over 25 years and the last 10 have been awful. The good people have all been run off or have retired. Those who are left and are promoted are awful. The kids they hire are awful.

In that reality, how is outsider Trump supposed to get any traction? Why can't he at least get some freaking credit for our energy independence or the economy or building a wall or exiting the Paris Accords or moving the Embassy to Jerusalem or the Abraham Accords, ALL of it in the face of coordinated opposition.

Why didn't congress send him an Obamacare repeal bill?!

I'm just a lowly squirrel. But I hate politicians with a white hot intensity. And politicians have made it exceedingly clear Trump is not welcomed. That alone makes me love the man.

But a final word: People think folks like me are Trump cultists. But that couldn't be further from the truth. I'm an America cultist. Trump just belongs, too.

154 "One of two things must be true:

Trump is a terrible judge of character and failed in his appointments.

Trump was easily duped by nearly every person he appointed."

Bannon?).

There is a simple 4th explanation ...

The pool of available talent is God-awful thin

However, to just ignore it is to ignore a very real reality of how government works. Implying that someone else will do better has to account for this. So basically we don't know that is what actually happened, we are just surmising it.

I don't find that to be a plausible, personally.

Trump is the guy that apparently penned something about the art of making deals and in 2016-7 there wasn't much he wouldn't hop up to the bully pulpit for.

I suspect, more likely, is that he knew very little about D.C. and trusted the recommendations of various think-tanks.

Those think-tanks, as it turns out, were infested with would-eventually-be NeverTrumpers and take their marching orders (and funding) from those that weren't in tune with Trump or the interests of the Republic.

Gulliability.

Trump or any President doesn't like to be caught off-guard not knowing what was coming his way.

.. on a personal note, I knew a guy in high school who went on to work for the FBI. 212 I have some problems with this interview. It does seem like something big here. But the premise is that this was a terrible event that was dangerous and the lives of Congresspersons were at stake and so were my policemen and they didn't tell me that the threat was there.

It gives too much credence to the J6 = Pearl Harbor x 9/11 theory. It does bring out some real questions, questions that Sund will not speculate on - and for his part, sticking to the facts that he knows makes sense. And Tucker wants to avoid lawsuits so he doesn't want to speculate either.

There are LOTS of implications here. Some things that are a LOT hinky. But it plays on the wrong end of the field.

And there was a piece that bothers me more than anything, and that is GEN Milley planning to shut down the capital city of the US because of stuff he read on the internet.

Because the "threats"of burning down the Supreme Court and executing Congressmen and killing Capitol police DID NOT HAPPEN. So it doesn't matter that "intel" didn't get there. The real threats were the agents provocateur who were likely Feds or Fed backed who stirred up the illegal activities.

What if Trump decided not to run? What if he used his considerable influence to work on fair elections? To boost DeSantis as his heir apparent? He supported him in the governor's race. Then the things he accomplished would be at the forefront instead of his personnel failures. He would be in a position to be pardoned by the Republican who wins the White House making all the cases against him go away.
This is his greatest failure and it is duw to his impossible ego and his need for revenge. Yes he was wronged but he has gone about clearing his name in the wrong way and in the process has only hardened the forces that caused his election loss.

275 Hunter Special Counsel Bullsh!t -

Garland again breaks the Special Counsel regulations by appointing a FedGov employee to be a Special Counsel.

Under the Speical Counsel regulations, Garland officially has control of the whole shebang. Weiss now has to get Garland's OK the file any indictments, and he can call Weiss in at any time to report status of his work.

The FIX is fortified.

Bullshit. You don’t go to all that trouble to “allow” something to happen. The stuff that made it on TV was planned.

The whole thing was massively weird. I was out in the crowd outside; I had no idea there was anything going on inside, or that people were being allowed in. Got bored and left. As I was leaving, the curfew notice came in over my cell phone (it happening as I exited the crowd may not have been a coincidence: there were a lot of people outside, and cell service was unreliable because of this), and thinking there might be something going on, I walked back. It was still just people milling around, so I left and went to King Street for oysters.

There are only 9.88 million people in Michigan, and likely a lot of them are younger than voting age (let's say 25%). Which gives about 7.4 million "voting age" citizens (a rough estimate). So about 10% of the voters in Michigan were "fake" and likely "ballot harvested" by eager and loyal young Democrats, and pile on the vote fraud in Wayne Country (Detroit). And there you have Gretchen Whitmer, governor of Michigan.

We've been losing a fuck-ton for decades. It was on November 8, 2016 we started fighting back in earnest.

All of the shit we are currently living through right now didn't start 7 years ago. It's been building since the 60', in some ways before that. Trump was our message that enough was enough and they went into overdrive.

If anyone honestly thinks what is happening right now was caused by Trump they haven't been paying attention to what has been happening to our society and our government for many, many years. Did Mitch McConnell just get to the Seante when Trump was elected? Did 9/11 happen on his watch and did he create DHS that has now been weaponized against us?

Trump is our weapon to fight back and nobody else on our side is even in the same league. Ron isn't going to fix dick. Good governor, not ready for this fight. We are going to lose more battles. The game is for the soul of the country. Eyes on the prize.

What did Trump have to offer to those members of his administration who stuck by him? Shame, ignominy, ostracism. I believe Trump's enemies have a black list and those on that list will never have a moment's quiet for the rest of their lives. An example has to be made.
And, besides, the outcome of the elections was probably known in advance, among people who matter.
While Trump was president, what was the best way to stay in the good graces of the press and the bureaucracy? Criticizing Trump and his positions, saying that something he wanted done was impossible and harmful, sabotaging his decisions.
Most politicians care about their self___ and want to be seen as important people, not pariahs.
Under such conditions, who was strong enough to resist? The same will be done to the next Republican president, if another ever gets elected and gets out of line.

Ace, as an OnlyTrumper I'm happy to concede this point.

This is a PDF from DeSantis' office, outlining his executive staff. Let's assume that all these people will go to DC in a Heavy D administration. Just taking a cursory glance at the list, there are a *lot* of positions in DC that aren't covered by these loyalists. Defense. Treasury. DNI. etc. etc. etc.

What makes you think that he can find loyalists that will run those organizations, and get better results than Trump? By the way, this is a problem with THE ENTIRE GOP. There are no people that can staff these positions successfully.

========

I don't expect anyone to keep straight my positions, but I'm planning on voting for DeSantis in the SC primary.

However, I know that if, somehow, DeSantis gets to the presidency and he tries to, say, build a border wall, the guys who run Senate funds will make sure that not enough Republicans support the measure in Congress to make it actually happen. Trump was running rallies with tens of thousands of people cheering him on, and it did nothing to change these people's opinions. I'm unclear what DeSantis could do. He's already modifying his positions based on donor feedback, especially after his campaign shakeup.

The only real solution, without burning things down, is to create a separate funding source for Congress to rely on that isn't in the hands of the uniparty.

There is no one big enough even the bankerz etc. to bail us out or to feed the world if we go to shit. We will have a financial crash, probably epic, that will last at least one generation. We may lose a war or two with high casualties unseen since Korea and Vietnam, and we will have cities becoming no-go zones. Pretty much baked into the cake at this time.

Cabal will fall from within just like the old Sov Union when not enough people in that country believed in it anymore. Still did not prevent really hard times in the Soviet Union and a lot of brushwars around the perimeter killing a bunch of people.

They were to ensure that the antifa/Blm mobs, already gathering, could NOT be stopped from being violent...which they ALWAYS had been before.
If you recall, the day before the Rally on the 6th, there was plenty of live video footage of the gathered mobs at "Freedom Plaza" BLM street, and attacks upon Maga folks that tried to walk through there. Including a uniformed security officer, prison guard, or some such thing breaking the nose of a female Maga lady. Many of the "warnings about Violence" the feds and military received were indications that violence would be coming FROM the Antifa side, and that "Defensive" maga groups were planning to "resist" it and protect those being attacked.
I'd like to see a breakdown and map of just how many permits were granted, to which groups, and in which specific locations in the days/weeks leading up to Jan 6. IIRC Maga groups had numerous permits, BLM/Antifa had none, but had advance notice of where and when Maga groups would be gathering and "Took over the spaces" or massed nearby to attack them.

You think you're gonna need this salt pillar?

472 Of course the vast majority of those around and even inside the Capitol on J6 were peacefully protesting. But on a factual level, I would actually like to see a reconstruction if the extent of actual "violence" by the crowd, where exactly it occurred and when.

For example, the left makes so much of the "signs" saying the whole area was restricted. But after a few protesters (or Antifa infiltrators, or FBI paid embeds) remove the first barricade with its sign, how is everyone or anyone at street level in the crowd behind them supposed to know it was there?

473 "I'm not convinced that Pelosi, Milley, and Miller schemed to make this happen just to destroy MAGA."

They didn't. They did it to create an emergency which would enable them to stop the certification of the election before anyone could make any motions regarding the election. Once the emergency was declared all motions were not addressed. When they recommenced that evening, no motions were allowed.

The purpose of J6 was to stop any motion in the Senate to prevent the certification in favor of Biden. There were several Republicans including Cruz who had promised to support motions regarding the validity of the election and the electors sent from the states. The chance for a real investigation of the election and the potential to overturn the fraudulent election were lost once Nancy, Mitch and Pence declared an emergency.

The ability to arrest MAGA and paint Trump and MAGA as insurrectionists was also obvious very useful to them but the purpose was to prevent any real legal challenge to the certification of the election.

474 I think Botched Lobotomy makes some excellent points. Tarnishing or destroying MAGA was just frosting on the cake for these mendacious bastards. The people had to be brought to heel no matter the costs. Mission accomplished.

Not at all. The first year nobody wanted to work with him so, as Bannon outlines, they made a 'drug deal' with the RNC to fill staff. You can blame Trump if someone comes in a full stage actor if you want; I blame them for their inauthenticity.

By the end Trump was picking good guys like Kash Patel, Grenell, et al. Don't forget the two most important guys: Wilbur Ross and Bob Lighthizer who gave you much including 10s of thousands of de-regulations and the Tax Cut and Jobs Act reducing the highest corp tax rate in the world(39%) to 21% which is keeping us afloat today.

477 Careful Ace. You are just now validating things Sundance was covering two years ago, buddy. i get your trepidation and hope you now understand these people in the bureaucracy - both parties - are capable of anything. After all, they specialize in color revolutions in other country's... Hell, Jonah! was on today telling us how evil 'small donors' are because they don't pay him like the 'smart' big donors are...

In 2012 Sundance was uncovering the fake news on Trayvon Martin way ahead of anyone else...
