The special counsel investigating Trump secured a search warrant for his Twitter account in Jan. 2023, according to a new court filing. Twitter was barred from telling Trump about it & the company was fined $350k because it delayed producing the records. (But ultimately did.)

As Twitchy notes, anytime there's movement on the Biden Crime Family, the Very Special Counsel indicts Trump on fresh nonsense or else links something New and Shiny to a reliable media pimp outfit. CNN, this time. They like leaking to CNN an awful lot.

I'm not sure why. CNN languishes in third place. Kaitlin Collins was promoted to the 9pm slot, and her ratings are atrocious -- they stink like Megan Rapinoe's jockstrap. She getting less than one quarter of what brokedown Sean Hannity gets, less than one third of what Conspiracy Kween Rachel Maddow gets.

You won't be surprised that Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm just happened to get all of her money out of the stocks (of a company she regulates) just before the news that it was going bust! Made a tidy profit, too, while others lost their shirts!

How is it that a class of people who are objectively on the low side of average intelligence are consistently such Batman-level geniuses when it comes to just-in-time purchases and just-in-time sales of volatile stocks?

Is it just "luck," like Hillary Clinton's amazing run with cattle futures was?

Or could it be that there are unacknowledged bribes from industry -- in the form of colossally valuable just-in-time information -- involved?

The House revealed that Chinese, Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian, and Kazakh oligarchs sent over $20 million to Biden's Friends and Family Graft Plan.

Politico thought the big takeaway here was that no one had proven a "direct payment to Biden" yet. Just all of his family members.

A White House spinner also thought this was big news. (Politico probably included the claim about "no direct payment yet" at her request.)

So Politico and the Biden White House are taking the position that if Kazakh oligarchs buy Hunter a Porsche just before Biden agrees to sit down to dinner with them, or if Biden's young grandchildren are getting Mystery Emoluments from Russian gangsters, that's no big deal, and has nothing to do with Biden.

Police aren't investigating the serial thief who brazenly robbed a 7-Eleven three times in one day -- while the police did nothing -- but they are investigating the owner who beat the thief down when he refused to lay down the stolen goods, and also flashed what looked like a knife.

The previous two armed robberies, executed on the same day:

Police said that on July 28 at 3:41 a.m., a 7-Eleven worker reported the suspect going behind the counter and threatening to shoot the clerk if he intervened. The suspect then took several packs of cigarettes in a large garbage bag before fleeing.
On July 29 at 12:27 a.m., a 7-Eleven worker reported the suspect demanding money at the store while simulating that he had a handgun. When the worker didn't comply, the suspect grabbed food items and put them in a garbage bag before leaving, police said.

For the third one, they demanded he stop looting their store. He refused, and attempted to bull his way through them.

The third time the guy grabbed a trash can and started to fill it up with merchandise in front of the workers. He flashed his knife and proceeded to fill up the trash can. The two workers then took action.

So now the police are investigating "the assault."

Stockton police said witness video of the July 29 robbery and assault has now linked all the investigations.
They said that after their investigation concludes, they will forward the findings to the San Joaquin County district attorney for review.

In more glass-half-full news, some San Diego school district police officers (I didn't know school districts had their own police but whatevs) are suing the district and the chief for corruption. It seems the chief has a... favorite... a "subordinate" if you will, who apparently spends a lot of time under him, and it was compromising the safety of the school district. Chief and the subordinate would skip out on duty to attend sports events and demand that officers protect THEM rather than students and teachers.

So, bad news, there's government corruption.
