I've always liked the Hillerman series of detective novels set on the Navajo reservation with Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee. On Roku they've been running a new (to me) series on AMC based on them. But Chee is not the traditional Navajo; he actually is college educated and works for FBI. In the second season he leaves the FBI to become a private investigator on the rez.
Plus, they created a new female character because WOKE. Her super power is that she hears gunshots in the distance and arrives in the nick of time to save the day. Not knowing what model of guitar it is, I'd take a wild guess that the bridge needs a major adjustment. Also, the string may also be getting caught up in the nut. Worst case scenario? The neck may be warped. Just my 2 cents, worth very little.

In every one, there is a count of the (usually two) surviving pubs, and a recent count (usually 15-20) from just a few years ago. I'm wondering if this is all pandemic, or the government war on drinking -- or if the Brits just don't like each other anymore. Could be some of all three?

They had just closed down the Indian school in my city when I was a wee lad. Grew up with a bunch of Was-She-Shu and Shoshone.
Lot of dudes turned 18, got that Indian money and died after the parties in a police shootout. One of my closest friends (an Indian) died at 18 the same way his brother did 2 years before. Many more are stand up MFers who could give a shit they are Indians. They'll fire anyone. Own construction companies and many houses. They did just as good as every other group I grew up with. 20% succeed to wealth and happiness, 80% failed. Posted by: Reforger at August 02, 2023 09:36 PM (B705c) 185
Evenin'
(Sips water. Yea, I know. I'm boring) Played 9 holes of golf tonight. Did reasonably well. I went to a golf range Tuesday night so that helped. It's a bit of a drive to get to but it was worth it. Found out tonight that there is a closer golf range. It's built on the place where the old Top Golf (Alexandria, VA) was before they moved it to the National Harbor. I will have to check this place out next week. Posted by: Puddleglum at August 02, 2023 09:36 PM (sAmhv) 186

Yeah, SF is grubbier and has infinitely more property crime than 1980 but a certain demographic got run out of town, it's much less violent now than then.
Willie Brown of all people redeveloped them out. So your car is more likely to get mugged than 35 years ago, but you personally are less likely to get mugged. California is 7% black now and that's worth something. There are neighborhoods e.g. East Palo Alto I wouldn't have gone near in broad daylight, now they're half Hispanic and half Facebookies and I cycle thru there routinely.
