What if you use drugs to darken your skin? What if you get plastic surgery to make your facial features resemble those of another race?

It is urgently insisted to me that such things change someone's sex.

At Twitchy, NBC "News" consults "experts" who tell them that people can't change their race just by affections and really wanting to be another race.

Fetishizing and objectifying the superficial traits of another race "reduces" that race.

Experts agree race is not genetic. But they contend that even though race is a cultural construct, it is impossible to change your race because of the systemic inequalities inherent to being born into a certain race.

No, it's impossible to change your race because it's genetic. Ethnologists trace the migration of ancient races by finding hapotypes in the genetic codes of modern populations that mark them as having descended from this or that tribe.

It uses magic thinking.

All jobs are social conventions. This does not mean that a job is anything I feel it is. It does not mean if you can't narrow jobs down to specifics, that playing X-box is "your job".

It resolves a convention to a problem of full understanding and then leverages it to be anything somebody wants to say.

So I could say that my "gender" is a "rational man". Thus you cannot get me to say your pronouns because "personal pronoun" is not a coherent rational concept.

And I feel myself most when I am citing concepts I find to be rational.

For some reason I have never seen the last third of the movie. The DVD I rented years ago froze up at that point. I exchanged it, and the new one froze up. I tried reading the novel, and the film followed it pretty well, but I'm not a Philip Roth fan at all and don't recall finishing it. I suspect I'll never know how it came out. The film seemed solid.

Still, there's Nicole "Australian Goddess" Kidman, and the always admirable Anthony Hopkins.

I did the dog dna test. I was curious about my new dog. Someone dumped her on my ranch, she was chipped and the chip said she was a mini schnauzer mix and the dna came back 50 percent mini schnauzer, 18 poodle, 10 fox terrier and the rest they called super dog/basically means they aren't sure. I found her relatives.
I won't do my DNA, ever.
