This might just be my imagination but it seems the "feels like" temperatures have been a bit inflated recently. "Feels like" is the temperature that does not show up on your thermometer but is adjusted based on humidity and wind speed to approximate how the temperature feels to you.

In MN they mandated that houses with building codes that were so energy efficient for heating in the winters that the houses are so tight that you have to have a fckn air exchanger as part of that code too. Yep. Pull in fresh air in the winter... Thus defeating the entire purpose and making homes here more expensive. Thanks Government betters!

A lot of HOAs have a very short list of pre-approved paint and roofing colors. If you want something off list, you have to get approval, which is not likely to happen.
I imagine we're talking about flat roofs though, which would not be visible from the street.

My FOB in Afghanistan was at a higher altitude and probably felt similar. It looked like a ghost town in July and August because people were hiding from the heat. I figured that it was possible to do a crossfit routine in the outdoor gym, pass out, and not be discovered for a good while.
