The Biden Administration Finally Gets Around to... Stopping Paying the Wuhan Institute of Virology to Make More Bioweapons They Can Use Against Us

The Biden administration has taken steps to permanently block China's Wuhan Institute of Virology from receiving funding from the U.S. government after a review found the facility non-compliant with federal regulations.
According to a Tuesday report from Bloomberg, the United States notified the institute of the decision to suspend funding on Monday and reportedly outlined in a memo plans to block the institute from receiving any potential future support.

The institute, located in the city where the COVID-19 outbreak began in China, previously received funding from the National Institutes of Health to conduct gain-of-function research on novel coronaviruses, and some believe it to be the origin of the COVID-19 pandemic, though no governing body has made that definitive determination.

The White House did not return requests for comment on the topic, but a Department of Health and Human Services spokesperson told Bloomberg that "this action will ensure the [Wuhan Institute of Virology] does not receive another dollar of federal funding."

Moore's testimony comes as UPenn and the Penn Biden Center face scrutiny over the surge in foreign donations, many of them anonymous, that coincided with the think tank's opening and President Joe Biden's election. Watchdog groups have said the funding raises concerns about foreign influence-buying.

I'm cynical enough to believe Wuhan lab was a diversion, meant to hide the real bioweapons being developed elsewhere.

The *only* thing that will work against that is that these are often in-person discussions that aren't recorded and involve no paper or computers.

But anything that is recorded, involves paper or a computer, though, yeah. If it isn't gone already, it will be. I don't know if they'll detonate spousal privilege or not (politicians use that one a lot), but clergy privilege absolutely will be destroyed if it hasn't been already.

I became suspicious of the Disney empire and cult while watching re-runs of the Mickey Mouse Club in South Dakota when I was 5 or 6 years old. I can't recall exactly what gave me the creeps, but something or several somethings did. I watched my share of Disney live action movies on TV after that, but not for very many years. The last Disney animated movie I saw in a theater was 101 Dalmatians. It was probably the first and the last. I cannot recall watching any others.

It's likely. The US Navy currently can sortie a handful of attack submarines and (IMO) is afraid to commit surface ships due to the ASBM (anti-ship ballistic missile) threat.

The waters in the Taiwan Strait are shallow. So the subs would be of dubious use there.

Not sure the Air Force could commit enough resources either.

So, from China's perspective it's probably 50/50. Plus they know the political situation here, with the Ukraine - Russia thing going on, would make US entry into yet another war, unlikely. But China's got time on their side. They've been infiltrating Taiwanese government and all the civilian infrastructure much as they've done here, so perhaps they'll just let the corruption fester for a few more years and absorb the island by osmosis.
