Queering the Trans Movement

transphobia light.jpg

The Summer of Pride runs into a few obstacles

June is over. School is out. Rachel Levine's Summer of Pride is getting some support in government circles and in deep blue states, but there have been some complications in the plan to "play on the offensive".

I blame Queer Theory for part of the conflict between the pro- and anti- "summer of pride" sides. Queer Theory is big on social construction of human identities. When I think of "social construction", I tend to think of orderly things - - like, say, bees constructing honeycombs. The only way to make "Trans" anything even close to orderly and normal is to get everybody to support it -- say, by using "preferred pronouns" and such -- because "Trans" is socially constructed. If someone refuses to go along, the construction crumbles. This is sometimes called "genocide".

Queer Theory is also big on destroying normalcy. So if "Trans" starts to seem "normal", "queering" would move on to the next thing, like transhumanism, for example. So all those hormones, all that surgery, etc. would become useless to queerness. But in the meantime, there is money to be made.

Back to this summer.

Trans is sometimes called the "gateway to pedophilia", at least in terms of "Theory". People pushing trans ideology are being called "groomers". They can't be too happy about reports like this:

A former ABC News acclaimed producer, previously the outlet's senior Emmy-winning investigative journalist, pleaded guilty Friday to federal charges of transporting and possessing child pronography in a horrific case involving infant r@pe.

so soon after the story that Ace picked up yesterday:

The first openly transgender lawmaker in the US is facing federal charges in connection with sexual exploitation at a Tyngsborough, Massachusetts daycare center. A teacher at the daycare who assisted the lawmaker in obtaining sexual pictures of the children has also been arrested and was charged in June. In a press release, the Justice Department referred to trans-identified male Stacie Laughton as "a New Hampshire woman."

These stories will probably both turn out to be far-right conspiracy theories. Like that movie about child abductions.

The Far Right is getting upset about a lot of things these days.

Helen Joyce Explains

In 2021, Helen Joyce wrote a book, Trans: When Ideology Meets Reality. For some reason, she has been doing a lot of interviews in recent weeks.

She has a PhD in mathematics and wrote for The Economist for several years. She's not much for the "social construction" ideas of Queer Theory. She thinks clearly. Here is part of an interview with Megyn Kelly that addresses reality vs. linguistics (social construction):

*

She takes on Rachel Levine. Whew.

*

Some of these guys are using people for their kink - "But what is so unusual and destructive about this sexual desire and urge is that it requires everybody else to play along":

*

Entire conversation between Helen Joyce and Megyn Kelly

*

Beege Welborn at HotAir wrote a related piece:

I love Chicago's John Kass.

Today his blog post was on something I and my friends here (especially David) have hit time and time again because we are so passionately terrified for today's children. But there was a moment in it that was such a revelation, I wanted to share it with you all. An aspect of the gender affirming madness that I hadn't considered before.

She interrupts her thoughts on the blog entry by John Kass to discuss a disturbing piece at Fox about a detransitioner, as well as some thoughts about Jazz Jennings and parents who push transition.

I have been uncomfortable about the story of the hypnotic regression in which Jazz supposedly visited a previous life in which she was a gay boy rejected by his family. Sounds a little too much like this life to me.

Welborn quotes Kass:

. . .It was a column by Dr. Greg Ganske, a former Iowa congressman and retired plastic surgeon who is raising important questions with his latest piece: "Is it Science or Child Abuse Part II."

Of course it is child abuse.

America clings to the delusion it is not child abuse even as we commit mass cultural suicide, as we engage in castration of young minor boys and other irreversible tortures inflicted on young pubescent girls via puberty blockers-on the whims of terribly delusional and tortured parents. . .

. . .Europe is tossing such gruesome notions of "gender assignment surgery and "treatment" where they belong, in the garbage. Recently, Norway has joined other politically progressive European nations-including Finland, the U.K. and Sweden in imposing limits on such treatments for minors.

. . .Why are those who stand up in support of women in women's sports are targeted for obliteration? It isn't just a difference of opinion, it is a power trip of angry wasps determined to sting you and other objectors to death.

You've seen them egged on in a frenzy against "Harry Potter" novelist J.K. Rowling, against women's tennis champion Martina Navratalova and so on.

WHY

And then he reports on an interview with an Irish journalist named Helen Joyce, who, when asked the same question, gave one of the most gut-wrenching, horrific answers I think I've ever heard. . .

. . ."A lot of people have done what is the worst thing you could do, which is to harm their children irrevocably, because of it. Those people will have to believe that they did the right thing for the rest of their lives, for their own sanity, and for their own self-respect. So they'll still be fighting, and each one of those people destroys entire organizations and entire friendship groups.

"Like, I've lost count of the number of times that somebody has said to me of a specific organization that has been turned upside down on this, "Oh, the deputy director has a trans child." Or, oh, the journalist on that paper who does special investigations has a trans child. Or whatever. The entire organization gets paralyzed by that one person. And it may not even be widely known at that organization that they have a trans child. But it will come out, people will have sort of said quietly, and now you can't talk truth in front of that person, and you know you can't, because what you're saying is: "You as a parent have done a truly, like, a human rights abuse level of awful thing to your own child that can not be fixed.

"There are specific individuals who are actively against women's rights here and it is not known why they are, but I happen to know through the back channels that it is because they've transed their child.

"So those people will do anything for the entire rest of their lives to destroy me and people like me because people like me are standing in reproach to them. I don't want to be, I'm not talking directly to them, and I don't spend my time bitching to them.

"But the fact is that just simply by saying we will never accept natural males in women's spaces, well it is their son that we're talking about. And they've told their son that he can get himself sterilized and destroy his own basic sexual function and women will accept him as a woman. And if we don't, there's no way back for them and that child.

"They've sold their child a bill of goods that they can't deliver on."

That last quote is similar to one at the end of an hour-long interview between Helen Joyce and Peter Boghossian. If you start listening at 57 minutes, there's also an interesting bit on transgender men in women's sports.

Though she doesn't really discuss it in the video, some of Helen Joyce's siblings have been on national sports teams.

1 Good morning everyone - back from the beach. I deepened my tan for all of you.

My lovely wife played for me a few duets with TB and Lady Gaga. I was very surprised by Lady Gaga's voice.

Doing pretty well. Hot here. We're both kinda tire and hubby has been having tummy troubles.

5 Lady Gaga did an album of something like show tunes or classics that showed what her voice could do. I think there were a couple of covers of Bad Romance by singers who did it straight that encouraged her to do it.

9 Megyn Kelly... she's saying a lot of right things these days, she's sorta like Russell Brand. I can't exactly say why I dislike listening to them.

Kelly of course, does funny things to my nether parts (Brand does not), but still, I can't listen to her talk for too long. I think there might be something about the cadence, the style of speech, it's very... corporate pressish. Or something.

12 Transgendering IS transhumanism.

It's part of the goal of Progressivism: its utopia involves reason and technology overcoming nature in all ways, but particularly as concerns humans. They see it as the next step of evolution - self-willed evolution.

It and hedonism are the largest parts of their doctrine.

(And, yes, they think that along with overcoming nature they can also then protect it and leave some large portion of it pure and otherwise unadulterated. Yeah, they're fools.)

Dave Smith was talking about this the other day, imagine you're a 50 something dude, and suddenly you announce to your family that "your truth" is you really like banging hot 20 year olds. You're leaving your wife, you hope your now adult kids will understand, this is YOUR truth, it's who you really are.

No one seems to consider the collateral damage.

16 I have had tummy troubles for years, both stress issues from s___y jobs and from messed up gut bacteria.

One of the things that helps is Floristor probiotic. It doesn't fix the problem but it makes the gut issues less for a bit.
It was discovered as a traditional treatment in SE Asia for diarrhea and it does help with cramping too. Unfortunately it costs a buck a dose.

19 Once you let mentally ill and perverted people fly their freak flag they will try to plant it on every person’s property. That’s what they do. You don’t tell a schizophrenic that his paranoid delusions might be true because that’s his truth. You don’t tell an anorexic girl that she looks good or that she can still lose a pound or two because that’s her truth.

23 Thank you, KT. Thorough and interesting as always. I’ve only just begun to peruse the content. The trans insanity hit me smack in the jaw last night (metaphorically). I’m in Minneapolis to visit son; we’re near Target Field before the Twins game getting a bite to eat. Seems like a nice area Anyway there’s a gaggle of young ladies standing nearby… except one of them is clearly male but dressed up like a woman: Sun dress, lipstick, heels… but here’s the thing: a full beard! Not fully grown out but prominent thick facial hair. He wasn’t even trying to look feminine (despite the clothes). The most baffling thing to me: the girls he was with were very attractive. Why would they hang out with a freak??!

Posted by: LinusVanPelt at July 22, 2023 11:28 AM (OC6Lw)

24 I am transphobic, to the extant that I think these folks are mentally ill. As a kid I watched Renee Richards play tennis fairly often, used to ballboy in tournaments where he played, and thought it strange to see him playing (not all that well) in the ladies draws, but that was pretty much the end of the discussion. IIRC, he just didn't make a big deal of his "transition" and it certainly did not seem political. But, to the extant we thought about him at all, we all thought he obviously was not a well person. I mean, who would do that to themselves (surgical transition)??

27 That is not the best rendition of FMTTM, IMO. It's too slow, with too many long pauses between words. But it's only one way Bennett sung it - he did more traditional versions, too. But one of the great things about the Great American Songbook is they can all be sung in different styles for different settings.

And, yes, Lady Gaga has a great voice. So did Amy Winehouse - who also did some GASB with ... maybe it was Bennett. GASB doesn't rely on auto-tune and loud music to get the singer through; it's voice. So these folks go sing it to prove their own singing bona fides, and it's not just the mixer in the studio.

Well, obviously.... but seriously, the point being, fine. You decided you like doing this thing. What if it was banging 13 year olds. What if it was kidnapping and killing teenage boys, but in the case of 20 year olds, or cutting off your dick and putting on dresses, these things aren't illegal, they're just... unsavory, especially for the people who knew you before you started "your journey toward your truth."

There's a reason moral people don't just indulge all their desires. There's a reason we don't celebrate them, as a culture, and yet, this one thing, abandoning your role as a husband and father, expecting everyone else to CELEBRATE you in a dress... where doing this? Really? Why?

Fits the ideology of most women's soccer fans in the US.

Portland and Los Angeles are the only two professional women's soccer teams which draw more than 10,000 fans a game on average, but even Portland has run a giveaway for years where you can get two free tickets to some of the less popular matches by filling up your tank at a Union 76 station.

Professional women's soccer has always been the Bud Light of sports.

She related the story about American Idol, where my talented cousin tried out. The people were looking for weirdos with a story, rather than actual talent.
In fact, in the movie, Gaga has a line with the choreographer, saying she wanted her talent to not be covered up. To me, it was a statement that was probably real for her.

Why wouldn't they?

They moaned and griped and got paid more for their trouble.

It's the school teacher strategy. You just insist you are underpaid, no matter how much you are paid. You beat that drum 24/7/365 so that it is ingrained in the social consciousness.

Ask someone how much a teacher gets paid, and most people will say "Not enough!". If you press them, they'll ultimately admit they really have no idea. They just know the messaging.

They don't need to improve their salaries by making the sport more popular. They make more money by constantly complaining, regardless of how many butts are in the seats.

I know some of the ladies on this here webzine don't like hearing this, but it seems to me the hump for young women to go from dating dudes to rolling around in bed with another chick is MUCH less of a "transition" then for dudes to start swordfighting with other dudes, and/or having their backsides plumbed.

Now that it's become socially acceptable, it doesn't surprise me at all that young women and girls are "experimenting" with same sex activities. I mean, jeez, why wouldn't you. Women are soft and smell nice, and at least in theory won't beat the shit out of you as often. Or cheat on you, or treat you like property... and all that other stuff these impressionable young females may tell themselves.

Only a handful of (predominately white) countries care about women's soccer, and the rest of the field are basically pickup teams.

Vietnam didn't get a single shot on goal the whole game. The US had many shots on goal, but only scored three times.

Riveting action.

Mesophilic yogurt is so easy it's ridiculous. You put some in some milk, leave the milk on the counter for 12-24 hours, and you have yogurt. If you get a "heirloom" variety you can just keep doing that forever. Mine has been going for 4-5 years and I haven't been particularly kind to it.

Because the modern concept of love is about receiving love, not giving it.

People approach relationships as if they were a movie critic or food critic, measuring their mates against some ethereal perfection.

The food critic would never say "the meal wasn't perfect, but I greatly appreciate the positive aspects of it, and who am I to deserve a perfect meal?"

This applies to so many situations. I've seen it when I have not drunk as much alcohol as other people at a gathering (thankfully, not among Morons at a MoMe), I've seen it from women who have had an abortion but never dealt with it, and of course we see this attitude constantly from various activists.

Somehow it does not matter that you are not condemning that person; in fact, you are not even contemplating that person's faults. What matters is that you are not applauding enough.

That Hot Air quote brings up a really good point. It's very often that you hear "so and so has trans kids" and unsurprisingly that determines their actions. And their writing continues to increasingly suck. Their favorite words are “backer” and of course “provider”, because taking advantage of the world’s most varied vocabulary IS JUST TOO HARD!!!

195 191 I consider myself very lucky. Courtship was very short, but been married 25+ years. Hasn't been easy, with cancer for her and kidney failure for me, and the kids didn't have the active parents they needed (she found out she had cancer when they were 4 and 1, respetively, same time I found out my kidneys were going kaput).

My first wife died when my kids were preteen. I just had a dream about her last night, really. It doesn't happen often, but when it does the dreams are quite memorable.

My kids are in their 20s now, btw.

Well, I know my wife will pass eventually from the cancer. She's been doing treatments for the last 15 years (12 of those for the metastatic form). Switched Chemo meds at lest 4 or 5 times. Had lesions in her breast (15 years ago), then her spine and hip, then her ribs, then her liver. Bastard things keep coming back.

197 No kidding. But if there's a real interest in 'resolving' the transgender competition disparity issue put them in their own class or do away with gender classifications.

The problem, such that it is, would cease to exist as a result.

But apparently few are interested dealing with the insane weirdos.

I had to twist the owner's arm to get him to take money, finally pressing $40 in his hand. He gave it to one of his guys, told him to go get breakfast burritos and soda, and invited me to stay for breakfast. A year later I dropped off two cases of pop on the way to AZ.

Life is about how things are, not how we want it. Our kids experience what they do/did, and at some point it is up to them to make of their lives what they will. We can regret some of what we did, but if you can generally say "I did the best I could under the circumstances," that's all you can do now, live with the pain of it, and let it be.

231 "With the termination of the Black Sea Initiative and the abolition of the maritime humanitarian corridor, from 00:00 Moscow time on July 20, 2023, all ships en route to Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea will be considered potential carriers of military cargo," the military insisted.

The new restrictions de-facto re-impose the Russian naval blockade on Ukraine, lifted under the so-called Black Sea grain deal in July 2022. The agreement, signed with mediation by the UN and Türkiye, enabled the safe shipment of Ukrainian grain through Black Sea corridors amid the conflict between Moscow and Kiev. Moscow withdrew from the deal on Monday, citing the West’s failure to keep any of the promises made to Russia under the agreement, including re-enabling exports of grain and fertilizers from the country.

There's a 'End County Maintenance' road sign nearby. The so-called non-maintained road is in better shape than the county maintained part.

The biggest issues we face with this sort of thing is the brush that grows along the shoulders during the summer that makes visibility sketchy and the lack of any snow removal in the winter. We can deal with the brush via chemicals or mowing but the snow/ice is another story.

The second strain of elitist thinking is "the Third World needs room to catch up" Development is not a bad thing per se, it is that the first world countries are opressing them, hence socialism to slow the advancement.

I will admit the effects are there, plain to see, but I think the cause is not development, but the international monetary system that favors the first world countries who own all the international banks. This is one of the reason countries are filrting wit the BRICS and with bitcoin

288 It's been obvious for a while that T and Q will enslave and eventually destroy L, G, and B before going to war with each other. As noted, they have to because their core identitarian ideologies are mutually exclusive: one holds that the world must bend to the ever-changing personal reality of the beholder, and the other holds that the world cannot and must not ever be aligned with the un-definable personal reality of the beholder. Like national and international socialists, they may temporarily work together to take down easy targets but it won't last.

I don't believe that anymore. I think it has such a profound effect on them, and all I can say now is, it was the hand they were dealt. Not mine, not their mom's choice, it was God's. And this is where we are. Make the most of it. Or don't. That's the only choice we have.

The fun thing is, the various accords to draw down US and Russian missiles would have forced the Russians to check the missiles they have that are actually usable instead of grafting off the ones that don't and not caring about the ones that will launch right. So that is not a good bet anymore.

There are some who believe the U.S. nukular arsenal is mostly unusable too. I have no way of knowing if that's true or not. Just that it might help explain why no one pulling the strings seem particularly concerned about it.

Find something, anything in this life that gives your life meaning and purpose. This isn't it.

336 If you actually deconstruct trans theory, it will collapse in no time. It's actually pretty simple too. Take the statement "I'm a woman in a man's body". What is the "I" that isn't part of the bidy and hence could be in the wrong one? It's the soul! And who screwed up? Whatever entity assigns souls to bodies, which is a god. So the trans movement acknowledges soul that have a gender and a god, which actually makes it a religion. That's why some people are so smitten with it. And it makes sense that a generation that grew up on harry potter and no bible is fascinated with everyone having their own patronous, it's all they know!

343 There are a lot of unclassified studies about nuke war. A lot of variables will determine the overall affect.on mankind. One I saw that is similar to my own analysis is a comparison between a 50 warhead exchange vs a 100 warhead exchange. I'll likely survive the 50 warhead event. The US too...maybe. But not the 100.
But even just a few, its the aftermath that will be the bitch. Collapsed economy. No internet. Broken infrastructure. Food shortages. It will be ugly.

356 the most deviant, depraved, heinous instances of child sex abuse derive from the demonrat/Leftard/Cultural Marxist population. And they enable and cover up for each other.

You know how Rolling Stone came out with that scathing, contemptible article against Sound of Freedom? Turns out a RS editor covered up a story written by his own staff. The subject of the story? One of RS editor's buddies in alphabet media got busted for CP.

Posted by: kallisto at July 22, 2023 04:45 PM (Qb4mU)

357 Locally there was a Radnor Township commissioner, Philip Ahr. He got busted for CP. The police informed the other commissioners about the coming charges, and immediately the Board scheduled a vote to unseat the professional p3do. Ahr's fellow demorats voted to keep him, they won the vote, so he stayed. It was only when he was formally charged and arrested that he stepped down.
But the support for their fellow groomer/p3do did not stop when Ahr was arrested. At his sentencing hearing, his fellow demorats showed up as favorable witnesses to shorten the feral pig's sentence.

This is after evidence was widely publicized in local papers that Ahr texted to one of his p3do buddies: "It's so hot when they cry". Talking about 5 year old children.

ANd of course, one of the demonrats who supported him failed upwards and now sits on our County Council.

360 >>"You as a parent have done a truly, like, a human rights abuse level of awful thing to your own child that can not be fixed.

This is very true, but just one extreme.
Now do the same analysis for mother who aborted baby.

Or even for a father who cheats on marriage and wife divorces. Or mother who divorces and fights for custody to protect child from "cheater."

In all cases the parents have done irreparable harm to the child, but now they have to define that reality in a way which presents themselves as the hero. The mother did not murder her child, but she fought for "women's health." The father did not betray a trust, he "fought for his happiness." "It is better for the child than to live in a family where the parents fight." (To which I always respond that there is a third option: Grow up and stop fighting.)

These are personal failings which bleed out into society and poison the well. This is why I am "conservative" and not libertarian or socially liberal or whatever label the weak and ignorant choose. Society (family, church, neighbors, laws. In that order) has the obligation to work against these failings in order to protect society.

There are other examples, ...
