"No Labels" is the Michael Bloomberg of 2024 (or the John Anderson if you prefer an older reference). It's a way for "the clerisy class" to find a new way to manage the plebs while also freeing themselves up to criticize Biden's people for the obvious clown show going on in the White House right now.
Or another way to look at it is the Republican approach from 1936-1960, where they were all for the New Deal programs, but would simply implement them better than the Democrats. I have a hard time believing that anyone who would vote for them was ever seriously gettable for someone like Trump, DeSantis or Ramaswamy. Manchin is an absolute snake.
He's only doing this to try and pretend that he's ZOMG SO INDEPENDENT. I've said this before, I will say it again. Manchin has never ONCE been the actual deciding vote against The Party. When his vote is required, he votes the party line. There has never, EVER been a vote where Manchin was the deciding vote in favor of conservatives. He TALKS a good game, and there's always a lot of BS about how he's 'standing strong', but every time the real story is that there's a group of Democrats holding it back and Manchin is just the face to give them cover. For Kavanaugh's confirmation, Manchin sat around BSing about how he needed to 'consider', because they thought they needed him to defeat Kavanaugh. As soon as Collins announced she was putting Kavanaugh over 50, Manchin magically realized he was going to vote for him too - he had been given PERMISSION to vote for him, now that his vote no longer mattered. The exact same thing with impeachment. He BSed about how he was going to vote against it, until Pierre Delecto decided that he was going to give them the coveted 'bipartisan' label, and then Manchin's permission to vote against The Party was revoked. The reserve callup comes a day after some remarks by Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov:
If Western F-16 fighter jets show up in Ukraine, Russia will consider it as a nuclear threat, Sergey Lavrov said. "We have informed the nuclear powers - the United States, Britain and France, that Russia cannot ignore the ability of these aircraft to carry nuclear weapons. No assurances will help here. During the course of hostilities, our military will not figure out whether each specific aircraft of the specified type is equipped for the delivery of nuclear weapons or not. The very fact of the appearance of such systems in the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be considered by us as a threat from the West in the nuclear sphere," Lavrov explained in an interview with Lenta Ru. They will negotiate Ukraines NATO membership away provided Russia agrees to the right terms. NATO is sick of Putin invading countries to improve his rating before an election. Part of this wars purpose, at least at the beginning was to discourage those invasions. Russia just keeps laying claims to whole regions and countries. Russia took the land they want and are essentially waiting for Ukraine to recognize such.
Ukraine can't make peace though because DC won't let them. DC in turn wants the war to go on because they want to kill as many Russians/Ukes as possible. But the problem is the war is causing more issues for the US then Russia. We are spending more money we don't have and emptying our military stores. Posted by: 18-1 at July 13, 2023 05:58 PM (lc5cP) They are a little bit short on the land, I think Odessa and Kharkov are on the schedule to be incorporated or made an 'open district' outside of UKR rule to avoid reprisals to Russian ethic people. But yes, things are going pretty well for them. Part of the reason for going slowly is just to make the West get bored of it just like they do everything else. You aren't going to get boys to go to Europe to save the next village over being occupied by Russia this month. Posted by: Oldcat at July 13, 2023 06:04 PM (eoQWY) 201
As some of us have been saying since the start of this colossal goat fuck Biden and NATO instigated this war by hinting at NATO membership for Ukraine. This has been simmering since the 2008 Bucharest NATO Summit were GWB first alluded to Georgia and Ukraine being admitted to NATO. That resulted in Putin immediately invading Georgia.
Why do you think NATO admission for Ukraine is playing such a big role now? That is what this has always been about. NATO has been eastward since the founding of the organization and Putin drew his red line and we crossed it. Doesn't matter if you like Putin or think he is Satan he was always going to do this if we kept pushing. And we did. If we go in everyone is going in. I think that's the very idea: wear Russia down in a protracted war until it collapses.
It's nothing so complex. The mistake people make is believing that there is a foreign policy objective. The war IS the objective, not for what it does to the opponent, but rather what it does for American interests. There has been no spending on Ukraine, at least not in the sense that most people think of as spending. The aid to Ukraine has been in the form of a bunch of munitions and equipment that sit in American warehouses and rusting away on military bases. The vast majority of the "money" given to Ukraine, has been payments to the IMF and World Bank on Ukraine's sovereign debt. This is necessary because the bankers must get paid and MIC contractors can't get paid to make new weapons if the old ones don't get used. To put it bluntly, the PTB couldn't give two shits what happens in Ukraine. Win, lose, stalemate. They don't f*cking care. Just as long as there is American shit getting blown up that they can replace. This war is particularly pleasing to them in that they get to use up all the surplus European weapons, too, and replace those as well with new stuff. Group holding an event as it seeks to give Americans an option to Joe Biden and Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential race
OK, I'm curious, what does an easy sell-out, bribable, compromised Democrat who probably would lose his own Senate reëlection going to offer that makes him a compelling choice between Biden or Trump? We know what we get with a "Biden" choice. The ushering in of a Thousand Years of Darkness as Pax Americana is wiped permanently off the global stage and the world resorts to raw barbarism equal to the days of Noah. Under Trump, we get the same, but with a hell of a lot more epic, off the hinge actions and entertainment by the Deep State and the Left. Posted by: Reuben Hick at July 13, 2023 06:23 PM (p8A+W) 291

202 The war IS the objective, not for what it does to the opponent, but rather what it does for American interests.
Ukraine just had to hold out for a few months. The only thing dumber than the "one brief campaign" thinkers are the 'economic factors' people. That's assuming she's just a jackwagon who gets distracted like a normal person and she's trying to make this sound like a serious thing. But given how messed up in the head some people actually are, I wonder if she might not be lying. American boots (or most likely high heels) would likely be scattered on the ground in Ukraine. Russia took the land they want and are essentially waiting for Ukraine to recognize such.
Ukraine can't make peace though because DC won't let them. ---------------- In other words there is no chance of peace until Trump is the president again. Posted by: President Select Decaf at July 13, 2023 06:38 PM (3JfbU) 368

Or Ukraine. We can send all the weapons we want, somebody still has to fire them.
Posted by: JackStraw An analyst (Perun) has stated that even with Russia's claims of Ukrainian casualties, Ukraine likely has enough manpower for decades of war as it's been fought so far. I blame average candidates losing to brain dead leftists directly on the voters. It's not like they aren't provided sufficient information to make an intelligent choice or advised how important an election is.
There are informed people here who constantly post about what's the sense in voting, nothing will change. Posted by: polynikes. at July 13, 2023 06:42 PM (/WQyy) Posted by: REDACTED at July 13, 2023 06:42 PM (us2H3) Posted by: REDACTED at July 13, 2023 06:45 PM (us2H3) 378

8 What the heck is wrong with North Carolina?
Posted by: Iris at July 13, 2023 05:32 PM (NaH5I) The state is overrun with NJ transplants too stupid to connect their own voting habits with the hell they’re fleeing. That’s the problem with letting blue state people migrate to red states. It never occurs to them that the crime and soaring costs of living and high taxes they’re fleeing are the direct result of the Democrats they elect.
