Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Wray Refuses to Say Whether the FBI Had Warrants When It Sought Information From Bank of America About Specific Americans' Gun PurchasesThe financial data sought about American citizens concerned gun purchases made January 5th through 7th, 2020 -- searching for gun crimes, without warrant or even suspicion, about Possible Future Insurrectionists. And the information they sought concerned all Americans banking with Bank of America. All. Every single one. It wasn't just a list of January 6th "insurrections." It was everyone. EV-ERY-ONE.Wray also lied about not knowing if there were undercover federal agents embedded with the "Insurrectionists." Whistleblower George Hill says there's no possible way Wray couldn't know about "undercovers" walking among the innocent -- and guilty -- on January 6. Hill said what "struck me between the eyes" was that Wray at least acknowledged "there were CHS's [Confidential Human Sources] and agents embedded in the Capitol." "Again, I was the one who brought this to the attention of the Committee [last February] but he actually admitted it," he told WMAL radio host Vince Coglianese. The host indicated that Wray wasn't sure there were undercover FBI agents in the crowd, to which Hill shot back, "That's a lie, OK?" And then he explained how he would know and how the director would have known: "Having organized multiple high-security events in my time in Boston, one of which was the Boston Marathon which I did for ten years -- organized the security around that event." And he claimed that "the FBI will always embed agents in the crowd in civilian attire." He said they'd do Terry stops when they had reasonable suspicion of a crime. "There's no way -- no way -- [not to have agents in the crowd]. The FBI would have had to violate its own protocol for decades not to have undercovers inside that crowd on January 6. It's not just normal, it's SOP, standard operating procedure." "So that's a lie?" Coglianese asked. "Absolutely," Hill confirmed. "I'd look him in the eye and tell him it's a lie. He would have had to have violated his own procedures going back decades [not to have agents in the crowd]."
Yes, Wray denies all crimes committed by the FBI until the moment they are proven beyond all reasonable doubt, at which point he says he apologizes for those crimes and Totally Takes Them Seriously You Guys. And then he starts denying the next series of crimes. Taibbi's new Twitter Files entry explains:

Class action lawsuits need to be filed against every financial institution that has provided information to the Federal Bureau of Instigation without a subpoena.
If they're a state chartered bank in a red state, then charter revocation proceedings should be filed. Are government employees who knowingly violate people's civil rights personally liable? If so, they need to be sued into bankruptcy. Lawyers who defend them should have bar disciplinary complaints filed against them (aren't those the new rules?). I watched the entire hearing and made the mistake of playing buzzword bingo using a list of Wray's lies, obfuscations, and weasel words plus vodka. I've forgotten the exact terminology about which case it is, but "whom" is used when the pronoun is an object of a preposition. (When I was in high school they called it "objective" case, which is probably wrong. But then we weren't studying Latin.) The construction "To whom did you give it?" makes it clear. OT: Working on a story, and I have a question about automobile glass. The car in question is a 1970s Jaguar saloon. Nowadays, auto glass is harder to break, and when you do, it crumbles into little non-sharp pieces (tempered, I think). Would that have been true of a restored '70s Jag? How many blows, say with a pipe, would it take to break one of the door panes, and would the glass have been the tempered type then?
Side windows would have been laminated glass in 1970s Jag models. Tempered glass went into production in the 80s and 90, depending on make and model. As to how many blows, I really don't know. Windscreens today have laminated glass. Maybe you can find resources or videos of front windscreens being hit with pipes. Posted by: bonhomme at July 13, 2023 01:49 PM (R38qh) 220

It doesn't take much to shatter a tempered glass window. Hell, a light tap from the ceramic part of a spark plug will destroy an entire window in short order. Tempered glass has an etch-mark on one corner, with an abbreviation of its industrial test standard under a trademark. ISTR ours was "ASTI" with a number, but Euro makers would have a different code. You'll have to roll (sic) the window all the way up to see the etch-mark, but if there isn't one, it is probably not tempered glass.

Yes. Even tempered glass tools require a lot of effort if you don't have the right tool. There are many videos of people hitting tempered glass with hammers or police batons over and over and still not shattering the glass. I've seen video of meth heads in San Francisco who use glass breaker points or pieces of ceramic from spark plugs to break tempered glass like magic. One common strategy is to push it through the palm of a glove from the inside. Posted by: bonhomme at July 13, 2023 02:02 PM (R38qh) 280

Posted by: Kindltot - Email me at this link for info about the MoMee in Oregon at July 13, 2023 01:58 PM (xhaym) ------ I was a firefighter and have performed numerous vehicle extrications. Windshield we generally chop into with an axe, then use a sawzall (reciprocating saw) to cut the glass and laminating sheet away from the frame and peel it all out as one big piece. Side windows shatter with a little piece of spark plug ceramic tied to a piece of 550 cord and swung smartly. Or a halligan bar, or an axe, or literally any other hard implement that you would expect would shatter a piece of glass. I ever encountered a laminated side window. However, the cheapass window tint that some people DIY install into their cars will hold a window together, but it tears easily. Posted by: ballistic at July 13, 2023 02:04 PM (oXNqT) 287

Posted by: Kindltot - Email me at this link for info about the MoMee in Oregon at July 13, 2023 *** It's a minor point. A character is trying to kill himself by running his car in his closed garage. Deep down he is not really serious about dying, and when my hero threatens the car's new paint job with a screwdriver, the potential suicider jumps out and realizes he's being really silly. If that doesn't work in the scene, i can have my hero yank the hose off the tailpipe, then bash open a back window so he and the guy's wife can drag him out of the car. Using a pointed object on the glass is a good idea. Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius, Dreaming of Elsewhere at July 13, 2023 02:23 PM (J2vNu) 346

A public disclosure request in WA reveals a fifth grade teacher informing other teachers one of her students is now a boy, not to question it, and not to inform parents.
-- This is a sexual fetish. The only way it stops is for parents to begin pressing charges against everyone involved. Anyone who didn't say "Nope, that's wrong" gets a child sex crime charge and permanent ban from being around children or 1000 yards from a school (or whatever). And has to register on the public lists. It's the only way this ends. Posted by: Moron Robbie Figured Out That Long Covid Means the Shot at July 13, 2023 02:24 PM (ulgTA) 350

IIRC Seattle has two public elementary schools that are going to begin offering 'gender affirming care' to students as young as 11. Without parental consent.
I've seen various definitions of 'gender affirming care' and many involve surgery. How's that gonna' work at school is beyond me. ---------- ||Seattle Public Schools Will Offer ‘Gender Affirming Care’ To Students As Young As 11 Years Old At No Cost Schools in Seattle are currently offering free ‘gender affirming care’ to students as young as 11, a prominent parental rights organization has found – already enraging parents. The service, laid bare in documents obtained by Parents Defending Education (PDE) this week, is provided by medical provider Country Doctor Community Health Centers – a facility that already offers hormone therapy and sex-change surgeries for adolescents. PDE announced the arrangement Tuesday, singling out two health centers in particular – both of which are set in Seattle public schools.|| Posted by: andycanuck (krqg6) at July 13, 2023 02:25 PM (krqg6) Posted by: ShainS -- Semiquincentennial or Bust! at July 13, 2023 02:26 PM (Ca1yH) 356
I've seen video of meth heads in San Francisco who use glass breaker points or pieces of ceramic from spark plugs to break tempered glass like magic. One common strategy is to push it through the palm of a glove from the inside.

Back in 2020, I bought a few old MILSURP Carcano rifles and I ordered a box of 6.5 Carcano rounds. I took delivery of the ammo on inauguration day, January 2021, and the CA DOJ requires a background check just to buy ammo. So, there is a record of me buying 6.5 Carcano (the JFK round) on Biden's inauguration day. I'm sure that landed me on a list.
