74% of Americans Say That the Country Is On the Wrong Track

Is America finally waking up from its covid delusions?

Note this is an NBC poll that claims that Biden beats Trump and ties DeSantis, so the real numbers are much worse.

Voters are souring on the state of the nation, with a stunning 74% saying the US is on the wrong track, according to a survey released Sunday.

The NBC poll found just 20% of respondents say America is moving in the right direction.

The last time voters were that bitter about the nation's course -- in 1992 and 2008 -- the party in control of the White House changed hands, NBC's Chuck Todd noted in unveiling the results.

In each of those elections, Democrats Bill Clinton and Barack Obama snatched the Oval Office back from Republicans.

...

While Trump has a growing lead over Gov. Ron DeSantis in the GOP primary, the Florida governor does better against President Biden in the general election, the survey showed. Biden leads Trump 49% to 45%, but Biden and DeSants are in a dead heat -- 47% to 47%.

Sure, Jan. Sure.

There's also a big red flag for the GOP: 61% of voters disapprove of the Supreme Court's ruling last year overturning federal abortion rights, while only 36% approve.
NBC poll about future of the United States.

Kamala Harris, meanwhile, is viewed unfavorably by nearly a majority of the public.

Vice President Kamala Harris' unpopularity gap is wider than any second-in-command in at least 30 years, a new poll has found.

A staggering 49% of registered voters have a negative view of the veep, with 39% saying their view is "very negative," according to a NBC News poll released Sunday.

By contrast, just 32% of Americans say they view Harris positively, and only 11% say they have a "very positive" view.

The 58-year-old's -17 favorability spread is the lowest for a vice president in the history of the NBC News poll.

For context, Harris predecessor Mike Pence's ratings sat at 34% positive to 38% negative (-4%) in October 2019.

92 I don't find it hard to believe that a majority disagree with the Supreme Court on abortion. Abortion was a terrific issue for the GOP because it was an empty issue: so long as the Court essentially kept abortion off limits legislatively (wehter federal or state), Republicans could profess to be morally aghast and raise money on the issue. But all these GOP officeholders belong to the same social class as the rest of Washington; they're not about to let the daughters they didn't bother to raise be burdened by unwanted pregnancies any more than Democrats. Same is just as true of much of the middle class in general with its upper class aspirations. It's easy to be against something when its abolition is theoretical.

I dont really doubt though if you had a nationwide vote on abortion, the pro-life position of 99% of abortions being outlawed would lose by a massive margin.

The definition of "uncomfortable" is obviously debatable, but it suggests a level of unrest within any given demographic with their perceived level of "comfort."

Many more are feeling "uncomfortable."

140 Eh, the SC cut the abortion gordian knot by ruling according to the 10th Amendment.

The vote goes back to the states. Simple.

If Abortion is super popular, eventually there will be very liberal abortion laws in all the states.

If Abortion is not popular or wanted, there will be no abortion or very restricted abortion access.

But, you could always go to another state. There's no way that can be restricted at all. Libtard would be thrilled to fund an Underground Abortion Railroad.

So, panic is just that.

Republicans don't need to run. Just say the decision is in the hands of each state's voters and the voters will decide.

Honestly, you have to be an idiot to say anything more than that. Mostly, cause that's the truth and that's how things will probably work out.

196 An opinion I heard about abortion and it's not entirely wrong:

This is about poor women and how our society regards children.
Rich lib women will be able to get an abortion on demand regardless of address.
The problem is that our society regards children as a luxury good.
Poor women getting pregnant is therefore a problem.
The Right will try to shame the poor women who get pregnant.
The Left will encourage the poor woman to proudly kill her child.

Ever since the ruling was published, the White House and the rest of the Democrat/Media Complex have screamed hourly that the ruling is wrong. It is terrible and evil. I know you're trying to be compassionate, but the abortionists just throw-out the "what about rape/incest ... reee" as a smoke screen. They just want to kill babies. Ask them if the rapist should be executed and they will vapor-lock.

The killing of an innocent person is wrong;
abortion entails the killing of an innocent person.
