These mendacious, doctrinaire fools are trying to convince the unwary that the animals wilding in our cities are some sort of noble savage, needing only the love of big government bureaucrats (paid for with our money) to reach their dreams of cavorting with unicorns and renewing the inner cities!

The worst part is that they butcher our beautiful language!

"Lived out their pain?" What the f*ck does that mean?

The cold hard facts are that Chicago is rapidly descending into Detroit levels of crime, and it is entirely possible that it will soon be in competition with San Francisco for first place in the competition to win the "Worst City In America" trophy. No amount of obfuscation, misdirection, and blaming the victim will fix it. The only solution is obvious, and will never be tried.

As my father used to say, "You can't shine sh*t," and all the new mayor is doing is furiously polishing a large pile of it.

I have zero sympathy for her

I tried several dating apps including Tinder, and the ONLY responses I get are from scammers. First the "girl" claims to not have enough money to maintain an account, so they list their snapchat ID or some other username to contact them by that takes you off the app. Then they chat you up and flatter you and then go through a process of soliciting your number so they can text you.

Eventually you get to the point where they start promoting their OnlyFans or Instagram account and suddenly and try to get you to sign up by sending a link to a website that has a timer on it in which you only have "5 minutes" to sign up for free for a 1:1 relationship with a hot OnlyFans girl.

The whole thing is enough to drive any single guy to suicide

but hey lets only acknowledge the poor women just trying to find wubs and who gives a fuck about the men

They can stop the cycle anytime they want. Except not really, because what you learn as "normal" in your childhood is what you accept as normal when you're an adult.

One of the most disheartening things that I began to understand around 20 or so years ago is that you can almost predict a childs future with 100% accuracy based on that sort of thing. Mom got pregnant with her in high school? She'll do the same thing. Dad ran off and had babies with three or four different women? That will be how life is supposed to work. Parents were divorced? That kid will have at least one, probably more. Etc, etc.

It's incredible how predictable it is.

It's without a doubt the best legal home defense weapon I've ever encountered. An incredibly accurate pistol, easy to use, and absurdly easy to acquire the target.

I'd recommend one to everyone. They're fantastic.

That it doesn't bang against door frames like even a short 870 makes it even more useful.

Serious question because IIRC you linked the Glock body / barrel kit to make an ATF proof bullpup the other day (and I'm very likely to order one) entirely because it should be ATF proof.

Do you have any experience with a braced pistol beyond seeing them or maybe shooting one a few times? It's fine if you don't, but they are game changers, and I don't know a single person who owns or has used one extensively that has ever suggested "these are not good for home defense"

Thanks, that makes sense. That's what makes them braced pistols vs SBRs, so it's understandable. The tradeoff in comfort for a purpose-built defensive weapon is fine for me, but I can certainly get where something might not feel right and that would make it difficult to train or rely on.

I said this exact same thing to a high school summer school class (!?) filled with Black girls and within an hour was in the head office explaining myself. The one war Ukraine has won unambiguously is the information war. Unfortunately, the problem with pushing propaganda is that you start believing it yourself.

Things I've heard from "reputable" Western sources:

- Russian military equipment is terrible. NATO equipment is far superior.

- Russians are running out of all sorts of military equipment - missiles, artillery shells, even rifles. The Russians are sending soldiers to the front lines with shovels, since they have no rifles.

- The Russian army froze to death last winter, since they had no winter equipment. (Remember that one?)

- Russian conscripts are being sent to the front with just a couple of days of training.

- Most of the Russian troops sent to Ukraine have been killed or seriously wounded.

- Morale in the Russian army is so bad that the Russian army will rapidly crumble, if put under significant pressure.

- The only thing that Ukraine needs for total victory is just one more kind of Western wunderwaffen.

There really needs to be a reckoning of why we were so badly misinformed.

A while ago I stated on a Gun Thread I won't let my daughter handle a 1911. This is why. She's had a S&W M10 since she was 6 years old. Can confirm. I talked to a very good man, Black, one of the few in the elems. He's one who begged me to get that cert. I expressed my feeling these boys needed Black Men, not me, and he made it clear it didn't matter. Not to him, not to anybody, and anyway most of the time the only real father figures they knew were compassionate White cops.

But as many observers have noted Russia has more troops, and in the end you would expect them to prevail against the counteroffensive. Ukraine is making small gains, but there are not breakouts, and you would assume the lines will shift back or settle looking mostly the same.

Russia's weapons actually have not performed well, either due to design or poor maintenance, and Russia's famed poor logistics capability is probably why the Ukes have been as successful as they have been. We know over a million young Russian men fled the country to avoid being drafted. The Russian economy, having been quite resilient under so much pressure has finally cracked. Ukraine is going to have huge problems selling their grain as other eastern European farmers have forced their govts to stop what they see as dumping. The Russians are kidnapping Uke kids and shipping them back to Russia.

It's going to be fought along this line for the foreseeable future. That's what we want. Going to be lots of dying - and both countries will go down the drain.
