Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Sunday Times: Covid-19 Was Created by the Chinese Military In An Attempt to Perfect a Viral WMD![]() Conspiracy theories abound! The UK's Sunday Times, basically a centrist equivalent of The New York Times for Great Britain (The New York Times was actually named after the Times), has a bombshell report that COVID-19 was indeed engineered by the Chinese military using US funding. The US funding came through the EcoHealth Alliance. The trail of money went, as we already know, from the NIH through the EcoHealth Alliance to the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The Chinese Military became involved in the coronavirus research around 2017 when gain-of-function research started bearing fruit. The Times' report, which I strongly suspect is absolutely true although I have to take the Times' word on the provenance of the evidence, is based upon confidential documents leaked to them by investigators who were sent to Wuhan to study the outbreak. It also comes directly from the United States State Department's investigators who were sent to China to investigate the origins of the virus. There are extensive quotes from those State Department investigators. Is the Regime Media covering this? No. It's a 100% blackout. David Strom emphasizes how respected and thoroughly establishment the Sunday Times is -- it supported the lockdowns, it endorsed Obama -- and yet the American Regime Press still refuses to mention the scoop. Including Fox.The US had banned funding for gain-of-function research until the decision was reversed by Dr. Fauci, and the EcoHealth Alliance was enthusiastic about restarting their research into making viruses more lethal for research purposes. The whole point of gain-of-function research is to take benign viruses and make them dangerous and virulent, theoretically for research purposes. Apparently, the Chinese military felt the same way about gain-of-function research as the EcoHealth Alliance. Very enthusiastic indeed. The easiest way to suppress the story is simply to ignore it. Sure, many people will see it--although the number is few, since the Sunday Times' readership is not large in the US, even though it is one of the larger circulation foreign newspapers in the US. So those of us who do see it and talk about it will sound like freaks and conspiracy theorists. You know the drill: you tell a friend about a bombshell--like the Israeli government was forced to release a report showing that nobody who was healthy and under 49 died from COVID. Not one. People with comorbidities did, but not healthy people. Yet you tell somebody that and they will scoff--it contradicts their priors and, of course, if it were true then it would be widely reported, right? Right? Big news obviously would get reported. Except, obviously, it doesn't. One of the biggest news stories in the world has faced a US blackout for more than a day. Do you believe that major newspaper reporters don't know about the story? Of course, they do. Do you think they disbelieve it? Perhaps some do, but most surely don't. And not one of them would think the allegation isn't newsworthy. The uncorroborated Steele Dossier, proven false, was covered relentlessly for years. Every hate crime hoax is endlessly covered. Verifying facts is inconvenient, so they ignore them anyway. The blackout has one reason: it contradicts the Narrative™. That's it. The regime media exists for one purpose in modern America: to support the regime. This is not speculation anymore; it is clearly true. Chances are decent that the Sunday Times story will become a blockbuster in the UK and be memory-holed in the US, which is where the trail starts and the only place where accountability can occur. The UK didn't do this. Anthony Fauci did, along with others. He covered it up, with the help of the US intelligence apparatus. And the MSM is covering up for him. Here's the archived version of the Times story, from Robert. The link doesn't work for me, but maybe that's just a Me Problem. Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

Scientists in Wuhan working alongside the Chinese military were combining the world's most deadly coronaviruses to create a new mutant virus just as the pandemic began.
++++ There has been speculation since fairly early on that what we now know as SARS-CoV-2 was not what caused the Chinese freak-out. As we know, this virus has been found as early as November, 2019 if not even earlier in places like Italy. December '20 - January '21 saw an unusually heavy and early flu season, which may well have been COVID-19. Given those things, I have read some speculation that what the CCP was *actually* doing with the brutal lockdown and containment effort in Wuhan was to control something else. Something that leaked out that was extremely dangerous - so dangerous that effectively suspending a major industrial city was a small price to pay. They blamed it on the newly-disclosed SARS-CoV-2 - an announcement that came at least a month after its discovery by the Red Chinese - but it isn't what they were targeting. I have no idea if that's true, but it's struck me as a possibility. Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at June 12, 2023 12:08 PM (t0OGg) 39

Posted by: Thomas Paine at June 12, 2023 12:10 PM (lTGtQ) ++++ Or it wasn't the COVID virus that they were worried about. I shared your initial assessment - that the initial phases of this thing were legitimate panic because a massive biolab had a leak, and nobody knew whether it was a potential species-level catastrophe because the Chinese lost control of bioweapons. It was clear by early April that this wasn't the case, and the thing morphed into a totalitarian arms race - but at the beginning, I think it was genuine panic over the unknowns of potential bioweapons escaping the lab. China grossly overreacted, too - maybe because they knew what *else* got out of that lab. Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at June 12, 2023 12:13 PM (t0OGg) 71

SARS-COV-2 contains the incontrovertible results of engineering using sequences patented by Moderna, and the entire project matched the profile from the earlier EcoHealth pitch to DARPA along with the pre-pandemic victory lap tweets (noe deleted) from EcoHealth describing their work. My speculation has always been that the China Lung Rot was a DELIBERATE release, in order to justify shutting down the Hong Kong protests, which were spreading nationwide. It was getting bad enough for the ChiComs that the MFM was speculating that they could be a serious threat to the regime. Releasing the virus in Wuhan was the ChiComs trying to be clever, and maintain some deniability between the virus and the HK crackdowns that they planned. But with typical Chinese efficiency, the virus got away from them and spread worldwide. Oops. That's why their initial public reactions resembled an epileptic chicken who just got the chop. Posted by: garrett at June 12, 2023 12:17 PM (GEOeA) There are a number of "heresies" in AIDS research that question a lot of the basic assumptions about the virus. Things like the positive but not symptomatic patients and the odd distribution but claimed "stable" distribution of infection testing in various populations which would question the current models of infection by an emergent disease. At least COVID has made questions like this more reasonable, at least to some people. Posted by: Kindltot at June 12, 2023 12:25 PM (xhaym) 158

She really ought not do that though. The predicate for the process crimes (6 out of the 37 criminal violations the prosecution lists) are completely predicated on the violation of the Espionage Act of 1917, a laughable and totally patently unrelatable crime to Trump or any former President of US - especially given the PRA act of 1973. With Omega Glory, Tracy would not have lost his crew if they had stayed planet side for a while. But some transported back and carried the bio-weapon with them, thus turning the crew into Folgers crystals.
Posted by: Anna Puma at June 12, 2023 *** The setup for the episode was one of the show's best, with a surreal death scene featuring the crystals of Tracy's crew (good phrase, Anna!) and the video of the ship's doctor telling Kirk & Co., "You're all dead men." It was only the windup, with the parallel of the U.S. Constitution and the flag business, that sent it off the rails. Roddenberry was an imaginative producer and a good rewriter. On Have Gun -- Will Travel's thirty-minute shows, his work was fine. His hour-long scripts needed someone else to rewrite *him*. A new crop of ETFs opposed to sustainable investing By far, the most successful of the counter-ESG funds, in terms of attracting assets, are from Strive Asset Management. Strive was founded last year by Anson Frericks and Vivek Ramaswamy, author of Woke, Inc. The firm launched seven index funds in 2022. Strive’s strategy is to promise investors market-like returns through index funds — thus avoiding the danger of significant underperformance — while using its share ownership to vote proxies and engage with executives and board members to focus on, as Strive’s literature proclaims, “excellence over politics.” (Update: after this article went to press chairman and co-founder Ramaswamy announced he is running for U.S. President.) What I am struggling to understand . . . how/why do left-liberals that still like to like to pretend to have some shred of intellectual integrity, belief in a free press, etc. go 100% along with censorship of a blockbuster report appearing in the UK Sunday Times, for example? Obviously, these ideologues will automatically dismiss anything coming from conservative sources, but how do they rescue their images of themselves at this point?
The best theory I can come up with is . . . they are profoundly afraid. They started to see, under MAGA, a new coalition of grassroots working and middle class citizens that rejected technocracy, the climate change scam, cultural Marxism, etc. and it scared the hell out of the "liberal" NPR crowd. WMD? What bullshit...
The Chinese government and the U.S. government both knew exactly what Covid 19 was - a virus that extraordinarily targets the elderly and weak. When you're planning to use a virus as a weapon, you don't target the enemy's most expensive liabilities. On the other hand, if you are a government that has excess population (as China does) or you want to improve your economy and install universal health care (but can't afford it with the existing medical demographics), you would desperately want to fund gain of function research into this particular virus. To be able to eliminate the portion of the population that consumes the majority of your healthcare and social services dollars along with transferring trillions in assets to a new generation that will utilize it more is something bureaucrats have wet dreams about. Covid 19 was designed to kill off the elderly and those with expensive underlying conditions. It was a weapon made to be used against a country's own citizens. It just happened to be released before it was perfected. Posted by: jwest at June 12, 2023 12:34 PM (VP9ao) 223

Knowing it was an intended WMD, this is why I called in 2020 for a massive retaliatory nuclear strike against China, or at the very least, a decapitation or neutralization of their ability to project their military. We had massive advantages in stealth, ability to disrupt command and control, yields, and penetration, and would suffer very little in retaliatory strikes. We could have sped their inevitable demographic decay. Our descendants would have thanked us for 1,000 years, as we rightfully thank Joshua, the Spartans, and Charles Martel.

But I will not - ever - pursue anything that puts my house as such on the internet. There has been a great conflation between "smart" gadgets and "internet-connected" gadgets. The reason is that the net-connected stuff is cheaper (because it's subsidized in exchange for the spying) and much, much, much, much easier to use. But the privacy implications are hair-raising, as are the vulnerability problems. None of this stuff is particularly well-designed from a security standpoint, and some attack vectors are awfully far away from the point of use. The whole thing gives me the willies. Always has. Aaaktchually, not really. It's gone widely unreported, but China's kinda fucked on the population front. Due to the 1 child policy, their population is stagnant and is about to head into decline. Predictions are 5-10M net loss of population yearly. India overtook China to be the most populous country recently as well.
And worse for the CPP, their population is aging fast. So you have few young people and a bunch of old people to support. Times 'bout to get interesting. The problem with demographics is that they move slowly. Even if Red China were to pull out the stops - generous subsidies for having more kids, forced breeding, conquest of neighboring areas to bring home wives for their men, minimum numbers of children, etc. - right now, today, and achieve strong results, it's still 20 years at a minimum until those people start entering the productive workforce and become a major politically-relevant group. There are a thousand viruses more deadly than Covid 19. If the Chinese military wanted to make a virus that could be used against another country, they would have started with something else. What made Covid 19 so unique is that it magically targeted the elderly and the infirm. If you asked the Secretary of Health and Human Services in the year 2000 what would be the best thing imaginable that could be invented for the U.S. (and if he was honest in his answer) it would be a virus that kills off the people (who are going to die soon anyway) that use up more than half the entire healthcare budget every year. If you asked the Secretary of the Treasury the same question, he would say a virus that kills off the portion of the population that are tying up trillions in cash and assets so that the economy could use that money more productively. Covid 19 was made to be used on a country's own citizens. It's totally obvious.

The difficulty with this story is the cases of COVID 19 that arose months prior to December 2019. China was having a TON of problems with dissidents and demonstrations right up until they 'locked down for Covids'.
My original guess was (and IS) that a large portion of those lockdowns were to arrest / eliminate the dissidents and protestors. Posted by: garrett at June 12, 2023 12:12 PM (GEOeA) The Shanghai lockdowns in the next year were pretty clearly a way to eliminate a rival faction and its power base in China. One thing that bothers me about this story is that it is whitewashing the US Government involvement. I can believe that the Chinese wanted the research for bioweapons, but we paid for that research and our government too wanted it for bioweapons. With Ukraine blowing up in their face, the Neocons and other factions idiotically are looking for Taiwan and China to ramp up tensions with to save face. This sounds like it could be part of that reversal. Posted by: Oldcat at June 12, 2023 01:21 PM (eoQWY) 481

Of course nobody here is surprised.
Mainstream media is consistently 6 months to 3 years behind the news. It's willful. And with every new narrative dictated from the top, they think we still believe them. We know they know we know they are lying, yet they continue lying. Half the left knows the narratives aren't true either, but tribalism is a powerful force. The Iran jetliner exploded on its own. Russia blew up its own pipeline. Russia blew up a dam in its own territory. Covid came from eating bats. They don't expect you to even believe it anymore. They just expect you to comply. Covid-19 Was Created by the Chinese Military In An Attempt to Perfect a Viral WMD
I am less interested in the origin of the virus and more interested in the coordinated response of every Western nation across the world. Every Western nation's policies were identical when it came to tyrannical lockdowns, mask-wearing (which has been known for decades to not work to prevent spread or infection of viruses), lack of treatments in hospitals, forbidding use of HCQ and Ivermectin as treatments, lack of home prevention and treatment policies, etc. Every Western nation was on the same page and following the same tyrannical playbook in response to this supposedly planned WMD attack by China. So when that happens AND each of these Western nations go out of their way to defend China and praise China ("Hug a Chinese Person Day!"), it makes me believe that China, the WHO, the WEF and the Deep State in every Western nation was in collaboration on this Plandemic from the start. I have believed this since finding out in summer 2020 about the Oct 2019 Event 201 pandemic war-gaming conference. The more information that has come out over the past 3 years, the more it confirms my suspicions. == I am less interested in the origin of the virus and more interested in the coordinated response of every Western nation across the world. == Posted by: Clyde Shelton at June 12, 2023 01:28 PM (60h0q) Can't remember where I saw it, but someone else-blog was calling out the "amazing" "coincidence" that all of our so-called elites agree on everything, all the time, and even change their minds the same all at once. On the other hand, there were times when actors went onto the set expecting to hate their co-stars and finding out that they weren't bad at all. The Duke and Roscoe Lee Browne in The Cowboys for example. RLB's friends and agent were dead set against him doing the film, because JW was supposed to be a knuckle-dragging reactionary. But RLB was a pro, and badly wanted the role of Mr Nightlinger (I'm sure it's because of THAT speech near the end of the film.). Once he started working with JW, he found that they had a common love for poetry, and would spend every evening smoking cigars outside of JW's trailer, laughing and discussing verse. The novel states: "He (Trashy) could have gone straight west, straight to Project Blue, where the whole thing had begun. But cold plague was not to his taste, and in his confused but not entirely illogical way, he thought it would not be to Flagg’s taste, either. Plague didn’t care who it killed. Pretty much what most thinking people suspected all along. By "thinking people," I mean those that observe and use basic powers of observation and cognitive deduction, not listening to the evening news and taking all they spit out as truthful.
My own prediction was that this was initially used to kill off the democracy rallies in Hong Kong by the PRC but was then seized upon by the ruling world elites to unleash upon the U.S. to wreck our economy and effect an election outcome. At the time, this was pretty much the consensus among most thinking people I exchanged messages with and spoke with on the COVID matter. It was a bio weapon used against America. And for stating this possibility - along with President Trump - we were called tinfoil hat wearers. Truth doesn't follow a narrative but it's clear for anyone to see, who wants to see it. "It was a bio weapon used against America."
The article states explicitly that the Wuhan institute was working on a vaccine at the same as it was weaponizing the virus, the plan, it seems, was to inoculate the Chinese population before releasing the virus into the rest of the world. The lab leak screwed up their plans; and the vaccine that the Chinese researchers patented less than a month after cases started being noticed didn't work particularly well, so the whole "Hah, we're immune and you round-eyed bastards aren't!!!" scenario never came to pass. (OK, none of the vaccines work particularly well, but whatever.) But I can see why the government and its creatures in the media are stomping on this story, hard: The Party never admits a mistake.
