Good morning. Well it's morning. I'll grant you that. Before you break out into hallelujahs and prayers just a few housekeeping points...... 1) Open thread, opine and/or bloviate away your time.
2) Be nice to one another. Even Hectors need love.

AoSHQ Weekly Prayer List Please submit any prayer requests to me, “Annie’s Stew” at apaslo atsign hotmail dot com. Prayer requests are generally removed after four weeks unless we receive an update. Prayer Requests: 5/11 – FenelonSpoke again thanks everyone for the prayers and cards and donations to their church. They are blessed by your concern. The latest update is that the township Open Space intends to go ahead with the purchase of the land. However, the township committee still has to approve the purchase, so please continue to keep them in prayer. Thanks and God bless you all! 5/13 – Farmer Bob requested prayers for healing and peace. His wife’s mother died from Alzheimer’s disease last Sunday. They were caring for her in their home, but he was out of town on business. When he called his wife (of 34 years and 5 children) to comfort her, she let him know that she no longer loves him and would prefer he never return. He finds himself homeless and alone for the first time in 34 years.
5/20 Update – Farmer Bob did post an update to the comments, thanking the Horde for their prayers and explaining some more of the situation. He says he will try to send updates as he can. Continued prayers for him and his wife are appreciated. 5/16 – Tonypete lost a friend this week, Ron. Prayers of comfort for Ron’s family and friends would be helpful. 5/22 – NaughtyPine’s mother passed away. We prayed for her mother when she went into hospice in April. 5/27 – Jewells shared her happy news that the CT scan showed significant shrinkage of the cancerous nodules. Only 3 out of the “too many to count” had grown slightly. There were no new lesions on her bones. 5/27 – Prime Sister sent many, many thanks for the Hordling prayers and to God. Her son in Singapore, who had not been in touch with anyone for 7 months, has contacted a family member. 6/3 – Puddleglum in Pennsyltucky asked for prayers for his friend’s wife, who was diagnosed with breast cancer. 6/8 – Sharkman posted about a girl who could use prayers. She is 7 years old, and just had her third open heart surgery and a pacemaker put in, because she was born with her heart reversed in her chest. Additional surgeries will be coming in her future. 6/8 – FenelonSpoke asked for prayers as she considers running for a spot on their local township committee. She is a complete neophyte in running for office, so she said she needs all the prayer support she can get! Got one wall (!) of the tool room cleaned and reorganized yesterday. The workbench gets done today and moving some things around on the floor to get more room. Throwing out large quantities of old junk. All the shelves on the fourth wall need to be reorganized as well, but I'm not sure if I'm not going to get new shelves for it.

I'm thinking there's more going on than simply dextrocardia. Been down this road with my kid and he's made it to adulthood - will pray for continued good care and the strength to deal with all the ups and downs along the way!

One of the puppies asked to be let out at 3:30 this morning. Because I couldn't tell if it was Ruth or Diana, both had to go out. Because of Diana's injury, they have to go out separately.
Went back to bed a little after 4:00 and, to my shame, woke up at 6:30. Because the puppies are accustomed to going out at 5:00, I had to let them out again, separately. Because the other will pitch a fit if alone, I had to sit around uselessly instead of going down to the kennel to let the older ones out and get them their morning kibble. Called Her Majesty at 7:00, as usual, and only then could I get my coffee.

Occasionally, but we have 10 and while there are certain things that have to be done at certain times of the day - plus the odd afternoon for an assembly-line bathing or scrubbing the kennel floor - I'm not conscious of any unremitting effort.

No yard work today, the lawn is wet and just full of caterpillar feces. We've got 3 Oak trees out front that are loaded with gypsy moth cocoons. Probably be a small acorn crop this year and diminished foliage overall.

I started having protein powder in my coffee in the morning (half a serving or I ended up not eating all day) because I couldn't manage to eat enough, and it was definitely showing in being slow to heal. You get a lot of exercise, so almost certainly need to give your muscles something to work with.

I was in a similar situation. Extended use of a treadmill--particularly at incline--would cause me considerable foot pain.
Once I discovered ellipticals, there was no turning back. I can get my heart rate right where I need it in short order without any foot pain. Between daily use of my elliptical and significant dietary adjustments, I'm down 53 pounds this year. Keep it up!

One of the ways to do the powders is to make a fruit smoothie and blend them in.
It will help with the fiber and calories thing too: I whomp up a pint of fruit, some yogurt, ginger and I have added in the past Moringa, whey powder, Simple Red, and even dessicated liver powder. Moringa gives it a terrible green color that is not yummy looking at all.
You can thin it out with water, juice or milk so it flows better. Extra milk is good because it makes it much thicker.

Fairlife makes a great protein shake in vanilla and chocolate, but only the 26g one. It’s about the only processed type thing I like for a shake.
Perfect Bar makes a great protein bar, they need to be refrigerated. You won’t mistake them for a cookie, but great on the go thing.

Nice! We had the 3 and 5 yr olds here this week - they left yesterday to go overseas permanently. Coming up this week, the 9 and 14 year old girls will be here without parental units (thank Goodness). They all drive me nuts but I am trying to live in the moment with them all. They'll grow out of this stage faster than I wish.

Correct. That's why it's preferable to get protein from natural sources, as the constituent amino acids are more proportional to what our bodies require.
Also, someone previously mentioned "collagen powder". To save yourself money, it's useful to know that unflavored gelatin = collagen powder. It is commercially derived from pork skin, which is why you should always offer Jello to annoying vegan relatives.

There is a thing called "tactics" that is very useful.
The ESG nonsense is too pervasive to take on all at once. A better plan is to pick a target like A-B and monkeyhammer it in a world-historic fashion.

Now all the stores have dedicated a lot of freezer shelf space to Inbev's other brands and bud and bud light are like normal and not two doors full. All "micro brews" priced a buck or two more than before the boycott.
I have hated Inbev for as long as they existed and didn't know I was drinking their beers as my usual Fosters was bought during the pandemic and I missed the news. They fucked over a friend who was a local distributor after the hostile take over of A/B.
The boycott made me try harder.

I added it and Rosemary oil to a homemade red pepper massage oil base and the three things together really do help quite a bit, based on my (and Inspector's) experience with it. Seems to help both joints and muscles.

The Temperance League still rules American medicine. They still preach that the proper amount of alcohol you should drink is zero, but if you must, doing it every day is a sign of dependence.
The health screening in the US military are set up this way and everyone just likes because it's stupid to argue the point.
The European health standards are much more reasonable, and those are the ones I live by: standard consumption is three drinks per day. I use the French standard because they define "drink" as having more alcohol than the English equivalent.

Saw that but I added some more data.
Kellogg did a similar thing with bran, which was a waste product not even suitable as cattle feed. They sell it to us as breakfast cereal because it's got 'fiber'. The bran flakes cost more than corn flakes at the grocer whereas it should be the converse.
