Because of Diana's injury, they have to go out separately. Went back to bed a little after 4:00 and, to my shame, woke up at 6:30. Because the puppies are accustomed to going out at 5:00, I had to let them out again, separately. Because the other will pitch a fit if alone, I had to sit around uselessly instead of going down to the kennel to let the older ones out and get them their morning kibble. It's a minor thing, but I'm going to be busy during the gardening thread so I wanted to say that all seven of the Monarch chrysali we were able to find (out of 13 caterpillars) have produced adults. Watching all that has been a very fun experience and I'm grateful to have had it (and the plant even survived and is starting to get new leaves).

Verse for the day: "And this is the verdict, that the light came into the world, but people preferred darkness to light, because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come toward the light, so that his works might not be exposed. But whoever lives the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be clearly seen as done in God." –John 3:19-21 Posted by: Tonypete at June 10, 2023 09:54 AM (B/X3r) 193

Good morning! I decided to launch a dawn raid on the grocery store, so I'm a little behind schedule.
Funny to see stuff "on sale" that is higher than its regular price a year ago. It is interesting that "Pride" is the descriptor that these people use, almost an invitation to judgement. I remember when the whole Bud Light fiasco kicked off and the usual doomers thought nothing would come of it. Apparently, the crisis is escalating to the point where A-B brands may see a permanent reduction in shelf space come September. For those who can't boycott A-B brands because you don't buy their piss water, consider buying a close competitor to twist the knife a little more. Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H. It will help with the fiber and calories thing too: I whomp up a pint of fruit, some yogurt, ginger and I have added in the past Moringa, whey powder, Simple Red, and even dessicated liver powder. Moringa gives it a terrible green color that is not yummy looking at all. You can thin it out with water, juice or milk so it flows better. Extra milk is good because it makes it much thicker. They built a brewery @ Mills River NC a few years back.
Posted by: BignJames at June 10, 2023 10:46 AM (AwYPR) I'm by the original brewery on the other side of the Great wall of California. What we here drink is from there. Good beer which is why I haven't looked into it. I don't want to know. Now all the stores have dedicated a lot of freezer shelf space to Inbev's other brands and bud and bud light are like normal and not two doors full. All "micro brews" priced a buck or two more than before the boycott. I have hated Inbev for as long as they existed and didn't know I was drinking their beers as my usual Fosters was bought during the pandemic and I missed the news. They fucked over a friend who was a local distributor after the hostile take over of A/B. The boycott made me try harder. Posted by: Reforger at June 10, 2023 10:58 AM (B705c) 362

Binge drinking is defined for males as drinking five or more drinks on an occasion on at least 1 day in the past 30 days and for females as drinking four or more drinks on an occasion on at least 1 day in that period. Heavy alcohol use is defined as binge drinking on 5 or more days in the past 30 days."

It's a bash! at June 10, 2023 11:16 AM (2EtZ0) ---- That article is wrong. See you can't have approximately and 44.6% together, not unless that number is known to at least another decimal, say 44.59%. Approximately requires at a maximum quoting 44% or 45%, nothing more precise. Blasted calculators and users who don't understand significant figures. I always ask the question why is the homosexual sexual perversion /abnormality better than other sexual perversions/abnormality? Because that question has no acceptable answer the LBGQ are attempting to make all sexual perversions 'normal'.
Posted by: polynikes at June 10, 2023 11:24 AM (YKqKD) --- It's also why they want to ban any form of therapy for people who were sexually abused and want to return to a normal way of living. SOP in the gay community is to molest a young man and then convince him that *he* was the aggressor and he just needs to embrace homosexuality, which is his true self. There are actually DoD materials describing this, not sure why they haven't been banned yet, but I supposed it's only a matter of time now that a dude invading a female shower is no longer a form of sexual assault. I just want to know who decided this number, and based on what standards are they defining binge and heavy drinking. What are the effects of the use levels they are measuring, because in the real world, nobody who drinks as little as what they are measuring is experiencing the negative effects that would supposedly be the problems they are trying to address. Class action suit right there. HOV lanes are for piblic transport and vehicles carrying more that just the driver (am I correct?). EVs with just on person are no different to ICE vehicles with just one person.
Posted by: Ciampino -- Why does the laundromat refuse to raise the laundry rates? It has a static charge. at June 10, 2023 11:11 AM (qfLjt) HOV lanes have had exceptions for a long time. They will say the purpose of the HOV lane is to reduce emissions. Posted by: polynikes at June 10, 2023 11:12 AM (YKqKD) ---- So if the recharging power comes via natural gas or coal then there's no difference between an ICE and an EV. Yeah the captcha thing is interesting that it’s being used to “teach” driverless cars how to identify things. It makes sense why it’s always find the cars, find the buses, find the street walk , find the light poles, etc. it’s always traffic related stuff.

They sell it to us as breakfast cereal because it's got 'fiber'. The bran flakes cost more than corn flakes at the grocer whereas it should be the converse.
