NYC Mayor Eric Adams: So Maybe We Should Just Start Housing Illegal Aliens In... People's Private Homes

YASSSSSSS.

I'm just glad we can stop pretending. These people are communists and I'm sick to death of having them deny it.

Any spare rooms at Gracie Mansion?

Mayor Eric Adams now wants to start paying every day New Yorkers to shelter migrants in their own homes -- as the Big Apple struggles to find beds for the thousands of asylum seekers still flooding into the city.

In his latest attempt to battle the ongoing migrant crisis, Adams on Monday floated a half baked "private residence" plan, which could possibly see local homeowners getting compensation to put up asylum seekers.

Hizzoner put forward the proposal as he revealed religious leaders had agreed to start housing adult male migrants overnight at 50 places of worship scattered across the five boroughs next month.

"There are residents who are suffering right now because of economic challenges. They have spare rooms. They have locales," the mayor said, arguing his private residence proposal could put money back in the pockets of taxpayers.

Adams didn't offer up specifics on how the plan would work -- including how much New Yorkers could potentially receive per night to cover the cost of hosting a migrant. A spokesperson also did not respond when asked if the mayor would take in migrants at his home in Brooklyn.

He did say, however, that the city would pay places of worship a nightly rate of about $125 for each asylum seeker -- which is cheaper than the $380 it costs to put up a migrant household -- including a family with kids or just single adults -- in one of its shelter hotels.

Mayor Eric Adams said the city will work to "find a way" to get around city government rules that typically bar the city from housing homeless people in private homes.

If the private residence plan went ahead, it could mean New Yorkers are being paid more to host a migrant than a foster parent is given to raise a child in the Empire State.

@ShidelerK

First they offer money and ask nicely for volunteers. Eventually they stop asking.

Meanwhile: Katrine Jean-Pierre complains that red states shipping Biden's Illegals to blue cities puts strains on those cities.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre condemned the practice of transporting migrants because of the "pressure" it puts on non-border states and cities, a statement that kicked over a beehive of criticism online.

Over the past year multiple state governors have made headlines by sending busloads of migrants from America's southern border to liberal areas like Chicago, New York City and Martha's Vineyard. While some consider the bussing to be nothing more than trolling or a political stunt, it has been affective, with liberal mayors complaining about the effects of migrants on their cities.

During Monday's press briefing, Jean-Pierre appeared to echo those blue state concerns and her admission that unchecked immigration overwhelms localities amused many conservatives.

"I've said it many times from here repeatedly from this podium that bussing or flying migrants around the country without any coordination with the federal government - we've talked about this, state or local officials as well - is dangerous and unacceptable," she said. "We will continue to be very, very clear about that. It is dangerous and unacceptable, because you're putting people's lives at risk."

...

Many found grim irony in her warning that states and small towns are being overwhelmed by such "dangerous and unacceptable" activity.

"Oh, no way?" conservative commentator Guy Benson replied sarcastically.

in real world terms, we should all know what will happen if this plan is put into place - the 19th century tenements will reappear, with well connected and unscrupulous building owners stack 10 people to a room while collecting $3,000 a month for each of them from the city - and the city will pretend everything is just fine because they don't have any place else to put them.

A plan like this is the greatest boost to Organized Crime since prohibition.

100 Oh, by the way:

The Biden Administration learned last June that a six-person team of Ukrainian special operations forces intended to blow up the Nord Stream pipeline, the Washington Post reported Tuesday, citing leaked intelligence documents and officials in multiple countries.

European intelligence services are said to have obtained information about a planned covert attack on the pipeline from an individual in Ukraine last summer. The information was then shared with the CIA.

"The highly specific details, which include numbers of operatives and methods of attack, show that for nearly a year Western allies had a basis to suspect Kyiv in the sabotage. That assessment has only strengthened in recent months as German law enforcement investigators uncovered evidence about the bombing that bears striking similarities to what the European service said Ukraine was planning," the Washington Post wrote.

The Washington Post also noted that US intelligence agencies still have zero evidence that the Russians were involved in the bombings; and that Zelensky was deliberately kept out of the loop, so he could plausibly deny that Ukraine had anything to do with the bombings.

First they offer money and ask nicely for volunteers. Eventually they stop asking.

This happened briefly in Germany at the start of the so-called "migrant crisis." Houses were sometimes seized from owners. Then things got a bit fiery and the news disappeared. The program did end.

Of course, in the United States any resistance will be met with deadly force and the body counts of White Supremacist citizens reported breathlessly and favorably by the state propaganda organs.

If DeSantis and Abbott can up the numbers, carnage can ensue to the enjoyment of all. Maybe rent a cruise ship or three?

THOTs are aren't the same as just pretty girls posing for pics. Calling a woman a THOT is a derogatory term and has a low connotation, usually that she is less attractive than a true professional model and has to make up for it by being slutty or outrageous. A THOT is often a gold-digger or star fucker or possibly even a half-a-whore. Will do almost anything for money or fame. A true professional model won't sink to those lows.

Interestingly, I believe the term "THOT" was coined by women or at least popularized by women.

Obsession.

To be the best in the world at *anything,* you have to be an obsessive. A true obsessive with single-minded focus. That kind of channeled obsession is more of a male trait. It's also why those who are the best in the world at anything tend to be pretty lousy to be around. They aren't well-rounded, they aren't tolerant, they aren't particularly pleasant. There was never time for any of that, and it would be distracting anyway.

167 On the other side of the country, but related - the owner of the two biggest hotels in San Francisco, accounting for 10% of the hotel space in the city, has announced that it is abandoning them. And abandoning them is not an exaggeration - the holding company which owes them has a $725 million dollar mortgage on them, and they've announced that they will quit making any payments and allow the mortgage holder take them back.

Well I guess San Fran will have some spaces to stack some of the homeless. I wonder who they think will pay the bills, though.

In fairness to their delusions, I bought a 2200 square foot 4/3 with a heated pool when I was 24. But I also worked 36 hours in a row more than once on the way to that.

And you know what wins every fucking time those two value sets come into conflict? People who are fiscally conservative and socially liberal are always just socially liberal in the end. What Millenials really are is self-interested: they want their slice of the pie. That's it.

Don't forget the stray dog effect. So you take in one or two people, they know someone who is "just passing through" and asks to stay the night, which ends up being indefinite. They have more and more down on their luck people coming by.

At some point they take over your house, and then confront you and say that you have had the master bedroom long enough and it is just fair that you take turns with your guests to use. You will never use it again.

And do you think they share your level of hygiene and cleanliness? Do you know what variation of TB, retrovirus, tropical disease that you will catch?

They will cook things in your kitchen that should never be cooked - like meth. Then eventually the vice and DEA raid your home because of the drug trafficking.

Oh, and gangs stopping by to see their friends that you are housing. Yeah. You will be kicked out of your home in no time

315 I'm just wondering if there's a progressive pay scale here. Something like:

If your resident illegal commit no crimes and make their court dates, you get $500/mo.

If you are raped by your illegal, you get $650/mo.

If you are killed by your illegal, your next of kin gets $750/mo.

If you or a loved one are sold into a cartel, you get $1K/mo.

No, I don't think a homeowner or tenant would be forced to share their domiciles with illegal aliens right now, but I can imagine some ingenious law requiring a residential property of some minimum square footage to be dedicated to purposes the state deems necessary. 329 ||Authorities in Las Vegas confirmed on Monday that the passing of a 20-year-old UNLV football player, who was discovered unresponsive in his studio apartment back in February, was attributed to a heart condition.

According to a statement from the Clark County coroner’s office, Ryan Keeler underwent an autopsy which revealed he had a heart ailment known as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a condition characterized by the thickening of the heart muscle. The examination concluded that he succumbed to a fatal irregular heartbeat on February 20.

The coroner’s office officially ruled his death as natural.

Following Keeler’s death, Las Vegas police initiated an investigation that remained open until the medical examiner’s report was released. The case is now considered closed.

Barry Odom, the head coach of UNLV, had publicly announced Keeler’s passing, highlighting the player’s exceptional achievements as both a student and an athlete.

Originally from Chicago, Keeler had joined UNLV after transferring from Rutgers University in New Jersey.||

345 Texas sheriff recommends criminal charges over Ron DeSantis’ migrant relocation flights to Martha’s Vineyard last year - after the same contractor dropped several dozen more outside Sacramento church

'I believe there is some criminal activity involved here,' Salazar said when he announced the investigation adding that he believed the migrants had been 'preyed upon' and 'hoodwinked.'

'The case filed includes both felony and misdemeanor charges of Unlawful Restraint,' according to the statement released on Monday. 'At this time, the case is being reviewed by the DA's office. Once an update is available, it will be provided to the public.'

Prosecutors in Bexar County, which includes San Antonio, will now need to decide whether to follow the sheriff's recommendations for charges to be brought.

In Libya back before Hillary destroyed it, the law apparently was that squatters could possess any untenanted housing or abandoned property, even if you just went to work and the store and didn't leave anyone to guard it. So everyone hired guards for the houses to prevent the squatters from taking it while you went to gas up the car, or something.

*******

Respectfully answering, the data were then and are now incomplete and not very useful for evaluating population data. A small rise in an extraordinarily rare event can look and sound dramatic, even though still rare. The big weaknesses are 1.) inconsistent diagnostic criteria, 2.) inconsistent demonstration of a causal linkage and 3.) massively heightened awareness and reporting in the web-o-sphere. What used to be eighth page blurb below the fold in the local paper is now eleventy!!!plus headlined on Twitter.

So your guess is as good as mine.

568 We are really smoky here, visibility has to be not much more than 3 miles.
A local radio guy says with all this smoke from Canada, its more pollution than if we turned off every coal burning power plant for years and years. Of course that has already been done in most places. Or got rid of every gas stove for the next 100 years.

Clinton was kinda pudgy in the beginning. Not crazy fat, but he got skinnier.

Taft, obviously.

Trump isn't exactly svelte, but it's more Tall Old Guy weight than it is fat.

574 The real danger to the sodomites are those nasty white Christians who hold traditional beliefs and might even pray for them

A preacher was recently arrested for standing near a "pride" rally and reading Bible verses. They weren't even the usual "you're wrong" verses, just stuff like "God is not the author of confusion."

Posted by: Piper at June 06, 2023 03:51 PM (ZdaMQ)

Often enough that for the past 30+ years every junior high and high school in the country has had athletes sign a waiver against holding the school liable in the event of death.

People were just rational then and understood that undiagnosed heart conditions combined with strenuous exercise meant deaths would inevitably occur, and didn't try to turn every single one of them into a national news item.

576 Excuse me; but, butt, I think I have an acceptable solution for Mayor Eric Adams, NYC "migrant" housing problem. According to www.crexi.com, there is an area of about four thousand square feet available at 191 Orchard St., which appears to be downstairs from apartments. Mayor Adams could use eminent domain to convert the multitude of such spaces all over Manhattan Island into migrant domains and TB clinics.

577 FWIW I do think that the COVID vaxx using spike protein as the antigen (either directly or via mRNA) has a demonstrable relationship to posssible development of myocarditis (one to four weeks post vaccine). This presumption is bolstered by the mechanism of myocarditis in general as a post-viral auto-immune inflammatory reaction.

This same presumption does not hold for other heart conditions such as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Enthusiastically jumping on any news report of a young athlete dying of any sort of cardiac condition without any reportage or knowledge of actual vaccine status seems counterproductive to me.

More than $15k can be earned online by performing straightforward tasks from home. In the previous month, I got $18376. Even a young child may do this job and make money because it is so simple to complete and has higher pay than typical office occupations. Everyone needs to try this task by using the information on this page. www.Richepay.com
