2 Check out this hilarious video of five London cops trying to restrain two people. One cop stands around like a hall monitor not sure what to do about kids without hall passes. A bystander starts dragging cops off of a suspect and the cops protest mildly.

In the Pacific they had barrages with ice cream machines and they would tow them to various island bases.

With the luxury of hindsight, Disney had gone through a resurgence and was onto something incredible there for 12-15 years or so. Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, etc. Good stories and animation that seemed like traditional Disney.

All that they're purposely trying to destroy now. Black Little Mermaid, live action Lion Kangz, etc.

Heck, even superhero movies. Nick Fury is a black guy, and even though he is the toughest SOB in all of comic-bookdom he wears an eyepatch because a kitty-cat scratched him. Because f*ck you white person who likes this stuff, that's why. You cannot have good memories of things you love.

114 Older brother and I saw Die Hard in '89, at Tyson's Corner mall. We never really got along, growing up. But that was a fun evening. Took another 30 years - and whisky - for us to warm to each other. Families are weird. Now, as old codgers, we get along just fine, so long as we stay 3,000 miles apart. We seem to have accepted each other as who we are, and that's fine. We can tolerate being together with each other for a week or so, ever other year.

She was sunk running AV gas and ammo to the Marines on Guadalcanal where he went down with the ship in 1942.

135 I remember almost giving up on Die Hard when he missed the ledge and then grabbed the one like three ledges below. Then when he's in the vent not much later, I thought "if he shoots that blonde dude through the vent, I'm done".

I was 12 and it was stretching credulity too much for me. I think there might be something wrong with me.

The movie is literally in my Top 5. BTW it turns out the missed ledge was a mistake by the stuntman so it was never supposed to go down like that. They left it in because it looked cool.

Also, we thought that we were going to have to come home and let the vet put our dear doggo to sleep; she improved enough while we were gone that she came home with us this evening and is happily snoring on her mat in front of the fireplace. Don't know how much longer she will be with us, but we will take whatever we can get!
