LOL. And -- "Amazement Park?"

A "pink dolphin," if you know what I mean.

Cute little cow.

Purrr-kour.

A little gross, but pretty remarkable how many peanuts this little critter (not sure what it is) tucked away in his cheeks.

Swan doing a little lazy half-flying.

Playing catch with a cat.

This is a big bald eagle.

This bird spends all day to make it look like he spent no time at all on his feathers.

Bathing bear-ty. It's Monday. "Bear-ty" is the best I can do on a Monday.

Dogs just want to help.

Necking.

The final chase of The Road Warrior (Mad Max 2), as recreated by cats.

100 Bald Eagles are big. Their wings square at the end but their size alone you can tell when they’re soaring overhead.

We've got a little 25 lb beagle - something - dog. He's a pain in the ass. But he's ours. So he's barking, as he always does, in the backyard on the other side of our flowerbed. Sometimes it's a vegetable garden. This time, it was a butterfly garden - so it was pretty tall and shaggy.

I walk around the corner of it, to yank a knot in that dog's ass - when I look within an arm length at something that was spotted like an owl, hook beaked like an eagle, and big. The damn thing stood taller than my knee and close to my waist.

I could not back away slowly enough. And that dog was on his own. He followed me. The dog. Not the owl / hawk / eagle.

105 L.A. Dodgers apologize, reinvite LGBTQ ‘nun’ group to Pride Night https://tinyurl.com/3fhksett

The Los Angeles Dodgers have reversed course on the controversial decision to disinvite a group of self-described queer and trans "nuns" from being honored at the team's 10th annual Pride Night.

"After much thoughtful feedback from our diverse communities, honest conversations within the Los Angeles Dodgers organization, and generous discussions with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence... the Dodgers would like to offer our sincerest apologies," the team said in a statement Monday afternoon.

The Dodgers asked the group to, once again, join them on the field at Pride Night to accept the team's Community Service Award, which the group has accepted.

Down at mosquitoes bar and grill
The drink will flow, and blood will spill
And if the bats wanna fight, you better let 'em
That jukebox in the corner blasting out my favourite song
The nights are gettin' warmer, it won't be long
Won't be long 'til summer comes
Now that the bats are here again

The bats are back in town
The bats are back in town
You'll find them downin' mosquitoes

I don't know. I've seen plenty of hawks here - big ones. My fence posts in the back are on eight foot centers. A good sized hawk spans half of that.

This big bastard, once he was done testing my cardio, kinda hopped onto the fence, looking into the creek and wood line in the back. Because that's what he was there for, hunting small game in that creek.

When he finally reared up to go, as I was watching through the window, his tips went past the posts. He was a big deal.

125 Goshawk prey preferences.

Birds are usually the primary prey in Europe, constituting 76.5% of the diet in 17 studies. In North America, by comparison, they constitute 47.8% in 33 studies and mammals account for a nearly equal portion of the diet and in some areas rather dominate the food spectrum.[104][105][106] Studies have shown that from several parts of the Eurasian continent from Spain to the Ural mountains mammals contributed only about 9% of the breeding season diet. However, mammals may be slightly underrepresented in Eurasian data because of the little-studied presence of mammals as a food source in winter, particularly in the western and southern portions of Europe where the lack of snowfall can allow large numbers of rabbits.[9][107] Staple prey for northern goshawks usually weighs between 50 and 2,000 g (1.8 and 70.5 oz), with average prey weights per individual studies typically between 215 and 770 g (7.6 and 27.2 oz).[9][70][97][108] There is some difference in size and type between the prey caught by males and larger females. Prey selection between sexes is more disparate in the more highly dimorphic races from Eurasia than those from North America.

From MPA, to CHENG to pre-commissioning team to XO and then to CO, all at sea for some 20 plus years - no pentagon warrior was she. So what happened? Can women command at sea? If anyone could, it was this gal. And yet the Fleet Admiral relieved her - and they don't relieve just anyone over a disagreement at dinner - no, there was something seriously wrong. Yes, TP - if you were to want a test case for a lady warrior to command at sea on a capital ship of the line - this Gonzales lady rang every bell - but something bad happened here to derail that effort, not something related to a command decision, but I think a personal decision that was going to be a black eye to the command. Wing cord is 20-28 inches. Is cord leading edge to trailing edge? Or tip to tip? Asking the aerospace peeps. 'Cause if cord is leading to trailing, call it the small end of 20". Then the symmetric tip to tip would be roughly around 6-ish feet on a juvie. Geebus, that's a monster of a bird.

There are few harden lady warriors who might command at sea - I am not a fan of military women commanders in general but I always thought that sea might be a place they could assist in bolstering our military numbers - but this was a set back to that.

She's the senior Enlisted sailor onboard. That berth is a very big deal.

I'll say it now. That was NOT the bird in my yard.

263 Had a large owl fly in a tree above my head at a golf course once. Huge bugger and it looked at me with 'nah, too big. too fat. looking for tasty rabbit'. No fear at all. It was pretty close. Beautiful critter.

I got buzzed by an owl while in a deer stand. Was on stand about 30 mins before sun up. Could hear something in a tree - assumed it was a turkey. Shortly after first light, that big owl dropped off its branch, went into its dive bomber run - which was my direction. I hit the deck when I realized it wasn't veering off course. No clue what it was thinking. And I was t interesting in finding out.

If Donny Two Scoops repeated his 'defamation' (whatever that specifically was), then he could theoretically get into some hot water. There was a question along those same lines when Amber Heard lost to Johnny Depp. She was properly muzzled, and avoided trouble.

It doesn't matter what Trump does or says, this is a Manhattan show trial. There wasn't even an underlying crime, the jury even admitted there was no rape and yet Trump was still found guilty of being a big meanie.

In a normal world where a woman falsely accuses a man of rape SHE would be facing legal repercussions. But that ship has sailed at least for time being.

Posted by: JackStraw at May 22, 2023 09:47 PM (ZLI7S)

279 I know 99% of people will say my opinion is because he's white and that couldn't be further from the truth but Bird is the greatest basketball player of all time. He took a team off the level of good high school players to an undefeated season and the finals of the NCAA tournament. He took the year before last place Boston to the Conference championship as a rookie and then the championship the next year . Making your teammates better than they ever thought they could be makes him the best. And even if I was judging on his individual skill he is unmatched. If you ever get a chance watch the 40 greatest highlights of Larry Bird . Freaking amazing.

281 I saw something about the AMC Gremlin -- vague.
Something about different sized doors driver v passenger.
I can imagine this, but vague -- like from wow, cool car in 71. What was the better midsized or two Javelin and another one that had the oomph.

Ford vs Ferrari is an interesting movie. The story of trampled truth. Ken Miles.

Recycling E. Jean Nutcase means the Democrat-Media Complex has run out of new women they can pay to not-credibly accuse Trump of sexual harassment or abuse. Or of failing to send them a birthday card, or failing to tip enough, or calling her the wrong name on purpose, or something, anything. For now they've run out. I expect dozens of DNC flunkies are out every day trailing $20 bills through Manhattan and the Mar-a-Lago area.

Bird vs Philly

85-86 with Walton was just what b-ball is about.

For old times' sake I'd throw the 'dagger' that Bird would provide with any play or a 3, was a Sam Jones bank shot right when it mattered.

Even a young child may do this job and make money because it is so simple to complete and has higher pay than typical office occupations.
