Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | THE MORNING RANT: Weaponizing Dead Whales and Other Climate FolliesHurricane season got off to an earlier start than anyone thought after federal meteorologists found that a powerful storm that formed in the Atlantic Ocean in January was subtropical.Hurricanes are a serious life and death matter. We cannot afford for the National Hurricane Center to be run by politicized frauds who can’t be trusted. This little stunt shows that we can’t trust the NHC. Climate Karen would like to speak to the Pope’s manager. Paris [Climate] Agreement’s Police Force Begins With Rebuke to Vatican A committee set up to pressure governments into complying with the Paris Agreement has issued its first warnings, rebuking the Vatican City for not submitting a climate plan.“Climate enforcer” is a natural role for people whose ultimate skill set is being a hall monitor. [PAICC Committee Co-chair Christina Voigt] said that submitting NDC climate plans exerts “peer pressure to push up ambition to where it is needed in order to address the climate crisis.”If you don’t believe that exerting peer pressure to push up ambition can save the world from global warming, then you are clearly a science denier. Half of the people on Earth are alive today thanks to nitrogenous fertilizers made of and with natural gas. So why are governments at home and abroad scrambling to cut off humanity’s natural gas supply?Coincidentally enough, the international elite have determined that there are too many people on this planet, and billions of you will have to “depart” to save the Earth from environmental apocalypse. Don’t forget the terrifying words of Germany’s Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture, Cem Ozdemir, who stated “Hunger is no argument against bio diversity and protection of the climate.” Ozdemir is speaking out loud what Schwab, Gates, et al hint at: ”Some of you will have to die, and that is a sacrifice we are willing to make.” At least there’s starting to be a little pushback against the wind industry in some state legislatures. Lawmakers Crack Down on Wind-Turbine Lights That Flash All Night; Rural residents say it is like living on an airport runway [WSJ – 4/30/2023] For pilots flying over rural America, a string of red lights flashing along the horizon is a warning that there might be a wind farm ahead. But for many residents on the ground, the lights are an eyesore that has ruined their view of the night sky and disrupted the bucolic stillness that defined their counties." After years of loose regulation, lawmakers in some states are cracking down.Just ban ‘em. If New York can ban gas stoves, then oil patch states can ban wind turbines. New Jersey summers always include the pods of dolphins and whales jumping out of the water together. Now, they are returning deceased on our shorelines. These events are devastating, but have since morphed into a ploy against new offshore wind development. Dead whales have become the poster children for South Jersey Republicans’ superficial environmentalism. While villainizing offshore wind energy, they have effectively diverted local environmental movements away from the larger crisis, and instead towards attacking a new technology that could benefit prosperity and wildlife alike. While the unnecessary whale deaths bother me, I am genuinely enjoying watching left wing “environmentalists” become defenders of senseless whale killing. And now the important question, what is the best way to weaponize a whale? How about using a giant trebuchet. Or maybe the compressed air technique used in Jaws? Or maybe just let it rot in the heart of a blue city? What are your ideas to weaponize dead whales? [buck.throckmorton at protonmail dot com] Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

++++ Except that it's perfect. Hurricanes are a nightmare, but most people are far away from them, they can use them whenever they want, and when the do hit and wreak devastation on land, they do so in evil red states - so the press can cluck about how the non-prog policies make climate change worse and these people get while they deserve. They can then decline to do any follow-up when a competent governor helps get recovery underway quickly like DeSantis did last year. Leftism in all forms was always about death and destruction. Always. It was always a ruse for angry, evil petty tyrants to force people to speak and act the way they wanted, and to jail or even kill them if they refused.
The 1970s and 80s enviro-lobby was never about saving any environment or animals. It was about forcing people, companies, and even countries to comply with the lobby's nutty nonsense. "Save the Whales" really meant "Kill Off This Industry We Don't Like." We now know for sure it was all a fraud. The same shiteaters screaming about saving whales a few decades ago are now gleefully killing whales and other wildlife in the name of the false prophet Gaia. The April 2023 average Arctic sea ice extent was 13.99 million square kilometers (5.40 million square miles), tied with 2004 as the tenth lowest April in the satellite record (Figure 1a). No reduction in May Arctic sea ice extent in nineteen years. The "bucolic stillness" of their counties and their "view of the night sky" are simply not important by comparison when we're talking about literally saving the world. This is get another expression of whit privilege, entitlement and fragility. Their "bucolic stillness" pales in comparison to the destruction that stillness causes due to climate change. Obviously, the stuff with the Vatican is prearranged. Either the Vatican ministry of foreign affairs is very left-wing and will give in in an exemplary manner (what do they have to lose, anyway) or the Vatican is small and easily bullied. Since the Vatican is so involved in international diplomacy, I'd bet on the former.
This will create the desired precedent that these bureaucrats must be obeyed by the national governments. Finally, they have found a pretext to create an international bureaucracy more powerful than national governments and they will never let it go. Posted by: PG at May 19, 2023 11:19 AM (84jHt) 99

NYPost:
As part of last week’s budget deal, Gov. Kathy Hochul and the Legislature ordered the New York Power Authority to shut down all its fossil-fuel plants in just seven years — even though gas-fired plants supply nearly half the state’s electricity. At the same time, they banned gas (for stoves and heating) in all new buildings by 2029, forcing them to be all-electric. And by 2035, the only new cars sold here must also be purely electric. Where on Earth do they think all the new juice that’s needed will come from? The NYPA closures are just a small part of the state’s insane energy plan, which just forced National Grid to push for gas rate hikes of 17%, following Con Ed’s request up its gas charges 20%, and 12% for electricity. Indeed, the law dictates that 70% of New York’s power must come from renewables by 2030 — so other gas-fueled plants will also have to close or scale back. My favorite part about global warming models is that they all have a "here be dragons" for the most essential and vital part of their calculations.
They must have accurate or at least somewhat workable fluid dynamics modeling to support the whole fraud. Instead they have ... nothing. Just, "here's what we think maybe might could happen, and we're the experts so shut up" We're no where near close to the fluid dynamics modeling to even model a small gurgling brook for 10 yards--let alone thousands of air and water steams over the entire planet. Yeah I expect the way they will do the desired population reduction. 1. Create massive unemployment with AI (find out who your real "essential workers are") 2. Offer Universal Basic Income on a simple condition. You have no children and agree to be irreversibly sterilized. 3. Let the problem solve itself. You know as well as I that 80% of grown adults are fundamentally lazy and would take a lifetime retirement of beer/wine, TV, social media, and video games over ever doing any real work again. Now think about 12yo kids and how many of them would jump at the chance for video games for life in a studio apartment eating cricket biscuits. So they'll offer the same plan to 12 year olds. Which dovetails nicely with the trans agenda. If a 12yo can make a life changing decision to be trans, they can also make the decision for permanent sterilization to get their UBI starting early. Their entire plan is to turn kids into drones before they can form an independent identity. They will have a problem of elections as population drops, as the folks that remain who actually do work lean conservative. I expect elections will end then.
