AoSHQ Weekly Prayer List

Please submit any prayer requests to me, “Annie’s Stew” at apaslo atsign hotmail dot com. Prayer
requests are generally removed after four weeks unless we receive an update.

Prayer Requests:
4/12 – Prayers are appreciated for Jane D’Oh and her family. Her husband passed away on 4/12. He had
a medical emergency on Monday, where his lungs filled with fluid, as happened in December. He
received CPR and was hospitalized, on life support. He was surrounded by family and friends and passed
away peacefully on Wednesday. She sends her appreciation for the prayers.
4/15 – Henry asked for prayers for his neighbor, Henry, who had a stroke about a month ago.
4/15 – Chopperpilot asked for prayers for Josh C., a USMC veteran who’s currently being treated for
stage 4 colon cancer. He’s fighting hard.
4/20 – Fenelon warmly thanks everyone who has been praying for her church and for those who
donated because of the kind outreach of Salty Dog. We are blessed by your concern. The Open Space
committee met in executive session the other night, and she has not yet heard what went on. She will
let us know what she does hear. Please also pray for Ray, their church patriarch. He is to be released
back home Friday 4/21 after being in rehab. Also Jessie, their beloved organist was in the hospital but is
now home. They are praying she can play for Mother’s Day. Playing is so important to her and she is
important to the church because they love her.
4/22 – vmom asked for prayers as she considers applying for a different position within her current
place of employment.
4/22 – gp sends thanks for all the prayers for Brian (old age pain) and Al (loneliness) – she saw the
results in their lives and appreciates it so much! She has a new request for her friend Larry, who
received a bad news angiogram is afraid.
4/22 – Tonypete asked for prayers for himself and his wife as they continue training to be Stephen
Ministers for their Parish.
4/22 - Swodog asked for prayers for his son, who was the student that the “Twerking Teacher” focused
on at last year’s prom. The son started at UF last fall but couldn’t focus with all the legal and social
media stuff flying around. He withdrew from school and is still depressed. His folks are praying he is able
to get better and re-enroll in the fall.
4/26 – Sponge and his family could use prayers of comfort, as his grandmother just passed away. She
was just a few months shy of her 99 th birthday.

4/29 – Grammie Winger asked for prayers. Her doctor located a mass in her abdomen. She had a CT
scan scheduled for 5/2.
4/29 – rhennigantx asked for prayers for his daughter. She needs some help with medical issues and
mental issues.
4/29 – Prime Sister asked for prayers for her son, Austin. He’s been in Singapore since 2019, in grad
school. She hasn’t heard from him in almost 2 years. Her other son said that no one has heard from
Austin for over 6 months. He’s no longer even cashing the quarterly checks from his grandparents’
estate. Please pray he contacts someone soon.
4/29 – Morgan, longtime lurker, offers praise for God’s blessing on his Spanish studies and requests
prayer for healing from his auto accident. He also prays for blessings upon the site and its moderators.
4/29 Update – Today he was pain-free! Praise be to God!
5/2 – Cat Ass Trophy’s father-in-law could use some prayers. He was admitted to the hospital last night.
He was hit hard by the bronchitis going around. After more extensive tests, it was diagnosed as
parainfluenza.
5/2 – Sponge asked for prayers. His father fell over the weekend and hurt himself badly. He has 6 broken
ribs, a partially collapsed lung, and a fractured right arm. Some of the ribs splintered, so they will do
surgery to insert a plate to stabilize them. His dad wasn’t in the greatest health anyway, so this will take
a toll.
5/2 – DaveT asks for prayers. He was trying to save his cats and his home, and then had an unfortunate
court ruling, related to a family member who burdened the home with some debt. DaveT is over 65 and
not able to work as much as he would like, and the cats have special needs, too (blind and older). He has
a GiveSendGo set up, so please email Annie’s Stew for more information about how to contribute, if you
would like to donate.
5/3 – Jewells asked for prayers for her niece, who had a biopsy done and they are pretty sure she has
cervical cancer. She asked for prayers, please, for her sweet niece.

For submission guidelines and other relevant info, please contact Annie's Stew, who is managing the prayer list. You can contact her at apaslo at-sign hotmail dot com.

If you see a prayer request posted in a thread comment, feel free to copy and paste it and e-mail it to Annie's Stew. She tries to keep up withthe requests in the threads, but she's not here all of the time, so she may not see it unless you e-mail it
to her.

Please note: Prayer requests are generally removed after four weeks or so unless we receive an
update.

Romans 8:26-27

26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but
the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows
the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

31 My workout was two miles in my neighborhood at first light: 2/3 walking, 1/3 trotting -- or maybe I should still call it running, albeit I'm slower than I once was. My ancient polo workout shirt was soaked when I got done, partly sweat and partly water I splash on myself for a little cooling. In the swampiness here, sweat does not evaporate. Neither does cool water. But it feels good for few moments.

41 Overnight, Democrats tried to sneak a bus load of illegal immigrants into the county. This is of course after local politicians promised that wouldn't happen. They are destroying all the local communities, services and school systems for their politics. In the age of technology you can't hide these things. By 8am it was viral. It should be interesting to see what happens. People are already moving out in large numbers. It's passed the time to leave and let the whole thing collapse.

69 What I like about the coronation is how religious it is, and despite the presence of clergy of other religions, it's unequivocally Christian.
The ritual of dedicating the new head of state to Christ in traditional language and rite has actual impact in on the spiritual level, imo.

The makeup of the county has changed in ways that people here have now voted for Trump last time around. A lot of people moved in for the schools and the very safe, low crime environment. Politicians got the memo on that, as people made it clear what their red lines would be. It ain't cheap to live here and people don't completely mind paying so long as none of this garbage occurs. It's going to drive out the people paying a majority of the bills- and they know it. You can't run a county on your political predilections, especially if they are contrary to what the people want. A lot of people are honestly looking for a reason to get out. This is going to be one of those things that sparks an exodus. BTW it's middle class, and not just white. It's every hard working person trying to make a better life for their families.

Posted by: Marcus T at May 06, 2023 09:20 AM (QlFnJ)

72 I watched some of the coronation. My only interest in the monarchy is historical and literary, not the current ongoing soap opera. The shots of the interior architecture and decorative elements were fascinating. They did a good job with the camera work.

I did smile at Prince William's tiny kids waving to the crowds from the carriage. That was adorable. Now to finish my coffee and catch up on my sleep.

73 Strange that Mounties were at the front of the parade.
------------
I was wondering about that too as the most-senior military units [and Royal Navy is the UK's 'senior service'] lead parades.

Bur Charles is ceremonial Commissioner-in-Chief of the [paramilitary] RCMP so I assume it's related to that; as well as being a mounted unit so having them in front of the carriage being escorted by the red-coated Life Guards and blue-coated Horse Guards of the Household Cavalry was natural enough.

The RCMP have also gifted a black horse to him that I think he's supposed to ride later today for some official parade.

88 Some interesting [??] trivia about the RCMP, at Victoria's Diamond Jubilee parade the Commissioner of the then North-West Mounted Police sent the NWMP contingent to the parade in their ordinary everyday work uniforms.

This contrasted with all the glittering finery of the British units and especially the Indian units covered in tons of gold lace so they gave the [true] appearance of tough men doing a tough job.

That's when all the Mountie cowboy books [and eventually movies] began to be written.

160 ||A US F-16 fighter jet crashed in a farming area south of Seoul during a training exercise on Saturday, said the US military, but appeared to have caused no casualties or property damage.

The jet’s pilot safely ejected before the crash and was taken to the nearest hospital, the US Air Force said in a statement.

“An F-16 Fighting Falcon assigned to the 8th Fighter Wing crashed in an agricultural area near Osan Air Base at about 9:45 am” in Gyeonggi province, the statement said.

The crash occurred during a routine training exercise, it said, adding an investigation was underway.||

I would chalk that up to bad training and the woke bull$hit going on, but on one deployment to the Gulf in 88 we lost 2 helicopters (crews recovered) and an EA-6B with all four pilots lost. I still maintain to this day that the Iranians somehow shot that plane down. It disappeared without a trace. That was a bad luck cruise.

I guess it depends on the nature of the heresy. The C of E is teaching that God is a bumbling fool who absent-mindedly mixes up bodies and souls, but happily we humans are smart enough to fix it for Him. Sexual immorality is a virtue to be celebrated and people who believe what they taught 50 years ago are hateful and unfit for public office.

At a certain point, intentions don't matter because they're objectively working for the Enemy, leading troubled souls into ever greater degrees of sin.

The media largely had currency because they were seen as an impartial arbiter. Very few honest people believe that anymore and therefore view them as partisan actors in any debate. Their positions are rote, and based on personal bias more than anything else. Ergo, that should be, and is increasingly becoming people's position. There is no expectation of impartiality when the media is involved.

TBH I think he was bullshitting. He's not really all for carbon neutrality. He was trying to disarm his interviewee a bit.

Using energy to amplify the work of men no doubt creates more free carbon in our atmosphere. I think of it is as our achievements written into the sky.

So, yes, I believe that because of human activity, there is more CO2 in the atmosphere. But I also don't believe it does all the things they said it will do. The oceans are not about to acidify and kill all the sea life. Not gonna happen.

As I say, the only carbon neutral human is dead.

The publication also ranked Florida high in 2-year college graduation rate, 4-year college graduation rate and for its students graduating with minimal debt.

I had one apartment in Denver that had a fireplace. You could burn wood, or the paraffin-charged fake logs that you could get at the grocery. Having the fire was nice; but the city often declared that you were not to burn wood on a given day, because it was cloudy and gloomy, and they were worried about the pollution, the old "brown cloud," collecting around the area.

First lady Jill Biden, who is in London to represent the US at King Charles' coronation, visited a local school and met with military veterans from a boxing charity. She was accompanied by British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's wife Akshata Murty

I wonder if he ever snags a smartie. His whole schtick is to expose ignorance, so maybe we wouldn't see any smart people.

344 Justin Trudeau's Ego @Trudeaus_Ego
I'm on my way to London for the King's Coronation, and to discuss climate change.

So far this year I've flown 40,000,000 miles on my enormous personal jet, with many more to come.

There's no length I won't fly to in order to discuss saving the environment with climate taxes.

347 138 If you haven't seen it, I strongly recommend the 2 minute clip of John Kennedy grilling the DepSec of DOE on what the temperature result will be of spending $50T on climate change. If you know the answer, it's a simple number and can be answered in one second. If you don't know, you just blather and prevaricate. Kennedy calls him out to his face.

Even a young child may do this job and make money because it is so simple to complete and has higher pay than typical office occupations. Everyone needs to try this task by using the information on this page. www.Richepay.com
