274 I went to a Devils game at the Rock a few years ago. The arena itself is very nice, but the surrounding neighborhood...isn't. The Newark PD had a security zone that covered a 2 or 3-block radius. Our bus broke down as we were trying to leave, and it took 90 minutes for the replacement to show up. A police captain and a few of his officers stayed with us until we were able to leave. It was quite interesting.

Took a shot right between the eyes, up on the forehead of his mask playing against Cornell.

He was never the same, and developed a twitch that he carries to this day.

Five years later...PTSD, raging alcoholism, and right eye that twitches involuntarily. Goalies have an impossible task. The physical gifts, spatial awareness, and mental quickness of NHL goalies are just legendary from my perspective.
