The Morning Report — 4/27/23

yumyumtreeswall.jpg

Good morning, kids. Finally a bit of good news to report coming out of the raging sewer of a snake pit also known as the United States Senate:

The Senate on Wednesday voted to overturn the Biden [junta's] new rule on heavy-duty vehicle emissions, issued by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which requires the trucking companies to comply with new standards that Senate Republicans claim will harm the economy.

By a vote of 50-49, the resolution to overturn the rule passed, with all Republicans and Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia voting in favor, while the remainder of Democrats and Independent Sen. Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona voted against. Its passage is a win for Senate Republicans, who were able to pass the bill largely on party lines despite Democrat control of the Senate.

Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California, 89, who is recovering from shingles in her home state and whose absence, amid her old age, has led several Democrats to call for her resignation, was not present. Had she voted “Yes,” the vote would have ended in a tie at 50-50, which could’ve been broken by Vice President Kamala Harris to prevent the resolution’s passage. . .

. . . The resolution now heads to the House, where the Republican majority is expected to approve it. [So-called quote-unquote "president"] Joe Biden is certain to veto the resolution, which would make it only the third veto of a Congressional bill during his [so-called quote-unquote "presidency"], and the rule remains in effect unless he signs the bill or it is repealed.

Well, it's a temporary reprieve and, if nothing else, at least a few moments to enjoy Democrats going bananas because they couldn't replace Fossilized Feinstein in time to give this insanity the rubber stamp. Thank you, and fuck you, Richard Nixon – times a million for Woodrow Wilson and FDR.

This is the perfect illustration for those who are still wholly unaware of the true nature of our government and who and what runs it. Hint: it isn't Congress or the President, unless of course either or both are pre-approved members of the Davos-DC-Brussels-Beijing Axis. In any case, they're merely figureheads anyway and not necessarily the drivers of the agenda.

So much for that "bit of good news." Way to kill a buzz, J.J. Does anyone really think that there will be enough votes to override a veto? And even if there were, does anyone think that the trucking industry and/or oil companies will not somehow or other be strong-armed from forces in and out of government into literally strangling our transportation system and, in the end, us? Eat bugs? Hell, we'll be lucky if they'll even be able to get them onto the store shelves for lack of transportation.

Not that this issue is absolutely horrifying insofar as the consequences of the destruction of our trucking industry, but for now there are other fish to fry, which I alluded to yesterday at the close of my editorial. With everything going on both here and abroad, total societal breakdown and anarchy in Haiti, where the rubble has been bouncing for decades even before the Clinton Global Initiative effectively put garters and fishnets on Mrs. Bates and raped it, is just not something that's going to garner much attention. But there are frightening portents for what could be heading our way very soon.

Although most Democrats are currently memory-holing their “Defund the police” demands from 2020, the facts on the ground show that, wherever they have control, crime itself is being decriminalized. A grotesque story from Haiti reveals where a society goes when its government abandons the rule of law.

In one American city after another, leftist prosecutors (whether Soros-funded or not), often with the help of leftist judges, are refusing to enforce the law against criminals. . .

. . .The way to keep a community safe is to have clear criminal laws, a functioning police force, and judges and prosecutors who enforce the laws once people end up in the system. Strict adherence to due process ensures that those same law enforcement officers, prosecutors, and judges do not abuse people in the criminal justice system. And of course, the law must be applied as even-handedly as possible, without regard for tribal or political allegiances.

When the system breaks down, bad things happen. And the worst thing is when a citizenry, recognizing that the government is no longer serving its function of maintaining law and order, takes the law into its own hands. That’s what happened in Haiti, where anarchy reigns:

This is the horrifying moment suspected Haitian gang members beg for mercy before a vigilante lynch mob stones and burns them alive.

The mob beat and burned 13 men to death with gasoline-soaked tyres on Monday after pulling them from police custody at a traffic stop, police and witnesses in the capital Port-au-Prince said.

Six more burned bodies were seen in a nearby neighbourhood later on in the day, and witnesses claimed to have seen police kill them before residents set them on fire. News agencies said this could not be verified.

This type of tire execution lynching has been a staple in South Africa, another place in which the rule of law is gone. This is where leftists are driving ordinary Americans. If the government refuses to enforce the law and protect law-abiding citizens, the citizens will do whatever it takes to protect themselves.

The estimable Andrea Widburg is correct, at least in theory. The hideousness of our homegrown leftist tyrants is that not only are they trying to confiscate our firearms, they are actually going after us for the right to defend our lives from existential threats. Forget Kyle Rittenhouse who somehow miraculously survived the high-tech lynch mob of a Wisconsin kangaroo court. Alvin Bragg (name ring a bell?) actually attempted to prosecute Jose Alba, a NYC bodega owner who was wrestling with an assailant and wound up having to stab the fiend in the neck. No gun was involved and no whites were involved either. Alba was white by association – association with a hardworking, decent, honest, taxpaying citizen and self-sufficient business owner. Or as Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants might label him, "an extremist MAGA white supremacist and threat to our precious democracy." (*vomits*)

I'd be lying to you if I said I wasn't jealous as hell of those poor Haitians who "took the law into their own hands" as it were. With Antifa and BLM goons on the loose, the prospect of giving them a Winnie Mandela necklace is quite enticing. Some commenter here yesterday stated rather brilliantly, and I'm paraphrasing, it's the criminal justice system because it protects criminals. The police don't exist to protect the citizens from the criminals but the other way around.

But that said, what is happening in Haiti is not what will happen here, or at least not what the tyrants are planning to happen here. The lawlessness and decriminalization of crime is intended for the citizenry to rise up and demand the government "do something!" Ironic since the current government in power has an actual visceral hate on for the vast majority of the citizenry.

The answer of course is the great realignment via mass migration of fed up and scared citizenry to red states and towns. If you think that the Junta doesn't see this, think again.

Blue states have been hemorrhaging so many residents that they’ve lost congressional seats — they have been reapportioned to increasingly populous red states. More specifically, 2020 census data shows a “vast migration” out of counties that voted for Joe Biden and into counties that voted to re-elect President Donald Trump. . .

. . . Red states start going purple one county council, one school board takeover at a time. That’s due in part to the lure of federal funds, which are actually bribes that come with woke chains attached. At the same time, rural boards of supervisors increasingly vote for off-the-wall resolutions, such as urging ratification of the long-expired Equal Rights Amendment. . .

. . . The invasions began in a passive-aggressive manner. Well-heeled leftists have increasingly relocated or bought second homes in rural areas, particularly in places with beautiful pastoral and mountain views. OK, so far. And no one objects to the nice little cafes and wine shops they seem to have transferred from their more urban settings. At the same time, the transplants enjoy planting rainbow flags on Main Street, USA.

They’ve been dubbed “leftugees” because they can’t shake their politics even though they fled from the consequences of them. They tend to welcome greater federal control and influence wherever they go, such as Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s “investment in rural America,” which means plying the countryside with faster internet service. That might sound like a welcome convenience. But given the recent history of Big Tech censorship and ideological bias, we might be skeptical of intentions.

Long-time rural residents’ voter apathy complicates this picture even further. They’ve been largely clueless about how easily their school board and county supervisor seats can be picked off due to low voter turnout in local elections. Even old timers who hold those seats can turn into squishes easily worked over by pressures from invading newcomers to vote their way. . .

. . . So, the picture should be clear. Some people move into rural and red America because they share the values of the locals. They are refugees who respect the local traditions — or what is left of them.

But others move into red places with no such intentions. Some even work actively to colonize and wipe out every vestige of the American spirit and traditional American values. If they keep spreading their dystopias, there will be no place left to breathe freely in America.

Look what happened in the Tennessee State House and again in Montana. If I believed in conspiracy theories, I'd think this was all somehow intentional. I have mused both here and on the podcasts that perhaps these migrations unlike past ones were not what Old Yeller Mark Levin dubbed "locusts" who flee blue shit holes and wind up voting for the people and policies that they fled. But maybe I'm wrong. Or is what happened in TN and MT merely the seeds planted years or decades ago sprouting? One can hope it's a fluke but we cannot afford that luxury anymore.

Just an observation: if you're fleeing a blue hell hole, why go to Florida or Texas when perhaps a purplish-trending state like Wisconsin (wink-wink) could use an infusion of red?

Finally, as an aside, and speaking of conspiracies one of the commenters yesterday suggested that a GOP-e stooge candidate might actually be allowed to win in 2024, just for appearances sake since he/she will never be allowed near the controls.

My theory: Chris Krispy Kreosote and Nikki Haley will go all the way in 2024. They will win on the issue of out of control crime and since it will become a crisis – it will be one that of course the powers controlling them cannot afford to waste.

Get ready for the nationalization and mass militarization of local police forces where Obama's dreamed about Domestic Security Force, the one that was supposed to have funding equal to or greater than the Defense Department, will be instituted. Of course, Nina Jankowicz will be in charge of combatting disinformation.

Crazy? After 9/11 we got the TSA, DHS and the weaponization of the FISA courts. This time we'll have the DOMESTIC Intelligence Surveillance Act of 2025.

Ah, I see that the Democrat "mavericks" are still taking turns in that party's fairly subtle (by comparison) form of failure theater.

I wonder who they'll get for the rotation when Manchin is gone. It won't suit their gameplay at all to have it be Sinema every time.

16 The root of such hypocrisy and moral relativism may have come from Belafonte's mentor, singer Paul Robeson. Robeson was an unreconstructed Stalinist, defending Joseph Stalin who killed 20 million of his own countrymen through enforced famines, and rigged trials, and turned the countries he "liberated" from Hitler into equally vicious police states; all the while Robeson was being championed by the American left as a civil libertarian

Living in a college town, it still surprises me more people don't know these facts about Robeson. We even have a road named after this Stalinist.

Easily solved problem, comrade. The problem as such is merely one of population density. We don't have enough population density. The haphazard and inconsistent manner of this country's urbanization has left us with very low population density. We have more stores and shops than we need, more towns than we need, more cars than we need and - crucially - more infrastructure than we need. Our average per-resident infrastructure costs per mile are catastrophically high.

Compared to places like Western Europe and particularly East Asia, they are lethally high. In China and Korea, they have defined urban zones with specific resources in each - shops, hospitals, schools, etc. - and the catchment (the number of people served by those establishments) is very high, which brings the costs down.

We merely need to empty the countryside into the cities. The catchment increases, and the average per-resident infrastructure costs per mile will collapse. Rail replaces roads for intracity transit, efficiency climbs and the environment is protected.

I postulate that the real goal of defunding the police is to create a situation where the do something part is nationalizing the police that can be controlled solely from Washington, DC, which in this case means the Democrats are in control of your local police nationally. That should work out well: we are the Stasi and we're here to protect and serve, but not you the general public.

And when it is finished, every cop shop in the country will have been totally remade, and the organs of state security will have grown to include every cop at every level in every place in this country. Then they will go after the *real* criminals: the subversives.

My comment at 34 concurs. I think it should also be noted that federalizing the police furthers the goal of gutting the federal system between the states and Washington, DC and when fully implemented would convert the states from being semi-sovereign into nothing more than administrative units. Young internal expats might do that. Older people won't, by and large. It's too cold. When my parents were looking to retire, they determined they had to get out of the blue shithole for cost reasons and because they were tired of living in a conquered land that despised them and that they had come to despise.

The ruled out the Upper Midwest in the first round because of the weather. They're old and didn't want to deal with winter maintenance in a place with harsh winters. They were fine with mild to moderate winters, but not the harsh winters of places further north than approximately Pennsylvania.

The can - and will - be replaced. There will also be little to do in those areas at first. Unchecked crime and the disasters downstream from it are - like most of the problems in this country - blue city problems. That is where the transition will occur first. It can radiate out from there, with state-level commands to the counties to cooperate with the fed "advisors" and if it doesn't happen, the refusers will be fired. The state governments will see no problem with this, since the federalization was so effective in the cities where they all work and interact. Where the person can't be fired - like an elected sheriff - he can be contained or prosecuted for non-compliance with new state laws.

99 The CCP, a vastly wealthy, unelected gang of Marxist revolutionaries, is busily pursuing asymmetric warfare with the US and the rest of the free world, while building up arsenals of everything from drone swarms and lasers to nuclear warheads and hypersonic missiles capable of winning or forestalling full-on nuclear hostilities. The only reason one would acquire these weapons is the expectation of future confrontation with the West; it plainly shows who they perceive the real enemy to be.

"Peacetime" and "peaceful co-existence" are not in the Communist dictionary. Some commentators might argue that nuclear proliferation cannot be solved without China. But the CCP's bid for world domination in place of the declining West is backed by massive nuclear proliferation.

He reminded me that everything we’re seeing is a judgement from God; a judgment of neglect. In the language of Romans 1, God judges by “giving us over” to our own lusts. Paul’s advice to the Phillipian Christians still applies: don’t complain and live a righteous life despite all that is going on around you.

There's a real lesson in this clip, and it isn't even this guy's harangue. The rest of the audience in that room wasn't putting up with his shit. He went into their house, dropped some bombs, and the panelists didn't have to say a word. The audience did it all for them. The heckling was constant, and they provided the cover needed for the panel. The panel didn't need to respond at all, other than to tell security to haul him away. The audience did most of the work to drum up the opposition and then did nothing to prevent his removal.

There's a lesson in that. When the leftists come into a place where they're not welcome - like a lecture by a non-leftist, for example (at least when it is not in enemy territory like a university) - the audience needs to do exactly this. Heckle. Shout down. Lead the panel to call for the cops and have the guy dragged away. Do nothing to stop it.

125 That's a pretty bold assertion that the federalization will be effective in the cities to reduce crime. Democrats are 100% responsible for what happens in cities NOW. There is NO reason to believe that federalization of municipal resources will lead to a better result.

Not many, but if they need to then they will. This breakdown in order in the cities is deliberate. It cannot be classified as a mistake or merely a bad idea at this point. There is too much evidence as to the consequences of these policies now for them to be continued due to mere error.

The federalized cops will restore order, probably through outright martial law at first, brutally enforced. As things stabilize, they will wind down. Most of the organized crime will continue, with payoffs going to the new bosses. The casual street crime will reduce because the consequences for it will suddenly be quite severe. The reversal won't be permanent, but it will be dramatic enough to achieve the goal.

I'm just gonna say that this is a bad change. My objection isn't about DeSantis. No one should be able to "hold" one office and spend their time campaigning for a different office. Do the job you were elected to or step down. Frankly, I'd like to see that as a Constitutional amendment.

He went into their house, dropped some bombs, and the panelists didn't have to say a word. The audience did it all for them. The heckling was constant, and they provided the cover needed for the panel. The panel didn't need to respond at all, other than to tell security to haul him away. 145 So, the picture should be clear. Some people move into rural and red America because they share the values of the locals. They are refugees who respect the local traditions — or what is left of them.

That kind of gets complicated for me. So I escaped Austin and fled to ETX. Came as a refugee, not a missionary.

One small example:
Most people around here are comfortable with clutter: downed trees on the property, things rusting outside, burn piles or cars parked on the "lawn", garages full of junk, etc.

I don't like living in a landfill. When not in immediate use, everything is garaged or kept in the shop. I dropped mid four figures this spring on landscaping and intend to do so annually with other improvement projects.

I don't whine about it around them, and there are by-laws in the corporation's membership w/r/t keeping things somewhat in order (we are on the board so have some authority). At what point does one draw a line? Or since culturally living among piles of garbage and deferring maintenance on structures is normal, do I stay silent?

DETAILS 🚨 Erdogan cancels appearances after developing stomach bug

||President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday cancelled his planned appearances due to a stomach bug, clearing Thursday’s calendar a few hours later, less than three weeks before Turkey’s crunch election.

The 69-year-old leader’s announcement came in the heat of a hard-fought campaign in what is widely viewed as Turkey’s most important election of its post-Ottoman era.

Erdogan had three appearances in the central Anatolian provinces planned for Wednesday. But he said Vice President Fuat Oktay would take his place instead.

“Today I will rest at home under the advice of our doctors,” Erdogan said on his official Twitter account. “With God’s permission, we will continue our program from tomorrow,” he said. “On this occasion, I wish all my citizens health, peace and enjoyment.”||

153 Re: vigilante

There's something happening in California as we speak. People are sick of the local government ignoring the drunks and drug users and sex fiends sleeping on the sidewalks, so residents are spraying them with mace (or firehoses).

Who knows the whole story, but some bum got sprayed by a retired fire chief (I assume the bum was being a miserable f*cking bum and it led to the encounter), and the bum went and got a crowbar out of a trash can, swung it a few times to test it out - all of this is on security video - and then proceeded to try to murder the citizen who sprayed him.

The citizen is charged and the bum, who fled the scene to find a weapon and return to the scene with malice and intent to kill, was practicing self defense. No joke. That's the prosecutor's position.

I wonder why there are vigilantes developing?

158 Saint of the Day
St. Zita (d. 1271) was born into poverty in Tuscany, Italy. She developed a strong prayer life, which, combined with her disposition, enabled her to seek God's will in all her life circumstances. At the age of twelve she became a servant for a noble family. Zita would rise early to attend Mass before beginning her duties. She saw her work as being in the service of God, which she executed with care and diligence. Because of her goodness she suffered harsh treatment and physical abuse at the hands of her employers. From her patient endurance of such mistreatment, Zita's humility and virtue became evident to all. She was eventually respected and promoted to managing the entire household and its servants. Throughout her life she exemplified hard work, gentleness, and a life of prayer, despite being overworked. She died at the age of 60 serving the same family, and after her death many miracles occurred through her intercession. The family contributed to the cause for her canonization. St. Zita is an incorruptible. She is the patron saint of maids, domestic servants, butlers, waiters, rape victims, lost keys, and people ridiculed for their piety.

Effectively this is a form of state sponsored media. Now that this barrier has been breeched I can't imagine the Democrats will ever give up this control in the future. Slouching towards Stalin.

Fuck that guy in particular. "Never criticized the people who had to make decisions one way or the other?" On what fucking planet?

He sure as hell criticized *me* - not by name, but as a type - for years. I wanted to kill grandma because I didn't want him and others like him to destroy the world. I wanted people to literally die because I wanted to wait for data to come in before taking an experimental drug. I was a dangerous man and a social problem because I looked at the data myself instead of blindly trusting the public health establishment. I was essentially a terrorist because, after the initial panic, I wanted them to stand down and let things shake out.

It saddens me greatly that Fauci will suffer no punishment in this life. It enrages me that he will probably be given a state funeral and a statue in Washington when he finally goes to claim his eternal reward on the barbed cock of Satan.

And I still say that there were no more than a handful of total COVID deaths during the "pandemic". 25K? 40K? Probably fewer. Maybe a lot fewer.

All of the deaths were from the flu and / or mandatory non-treatment motivated by politics and money.

It sucks, but you know it's true.

Not even a good straw man. He strongly recommended using his divine authority as the avatar of SCIENCE!™ and recommended incarcerating anyone who disagreed with his commands.

But no one is actually accusing him of closing anything, those actions came about by America-hating despots who used his atop of Mt CDC commandments as their cover.

Fauci, other than being a pathological liar, worked with people like Ba'al Gates, WHO and other agencies to illegally use tax money to underwrite the making of a chimera, then profiting from the "cure" a plan no different from a James Bond, the Kingsmen or Mission Impossible script.

He conspired with Malthusians and those bent on genocide to give them a bioweapon to murder billions of people. It was by the Grace of God that he didn't achieve his mission.

This has been the case for many years. I pointed out following the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting that both the CDC and Amer. Before I left Austin, I swear more "men" were wearing makeup than women. Women spent more time trying to figure out how to disfigure themselves and spend more money in food dye for their hair and metallic shrapnel embedded into their skin and orifices, than they spent as customers of Ulta.

In this case, Maybelline is probably performing a smart marketing move. Enough women are OK with LARPing men who cake on the makeup that there won't be a hit to the bottom line. At the same time Maybelline is communicating that they are the Go-To cosmetic line for the swelling numbers of confused and dysfunctional "men".

The FUSA has a vast and growing population of innumerate people of voting age. When asked how many unarmed black men were gunned down by police in a given year, instead of providing a single digit number, they were guessing closer to 100,000.

Spoiler alert: Drag Queens have been influencing women's make-up for years now. If you're familiar with the Kardashian look, they got it from drag styling.

"Look up “cut crease tutorial” and you’ll see a million faces of beauty vloggers that are different, but the same. A uniform, airbrushed makeup look has become the new normal: Thick, ombré block eyebrows, heavily contoured cheeks, blinding highlighter, fluttering false eyelashes. Picture a Bratz doll--or Kylie Jenner. Some call it “Instagram makeup.” Some call it a “beat” face. What it really is is decades of quiet, but powerful, influence from the drag community.. . "

My company is being acquired, and I do appreciate that the acquiring company is playing it straight. They're being pretty clear that there *will* be layoffs, especially in shared business service areas (HR, IT, etc. - this is always true but companies rarely acknowledge it during acquisition talks), there *will* be some product lines that will get eliminated, there *will* be some parts of the company that are spun off, there *will* be staffing reductions - though they don't know where yet (I strongly suspect that is a lie, and they know approximately who they are going to fire).

I've never been through an acquisition that was this honest before. I have also noted - and I am sure I am not the only one - that it's the acquiring company that's being honest about it, not my own company.

My first thoughts were the Gaia Religion would need to drive fossil fuels up dramatically so all this looney renewable nonsense would appear to be inevitable because it was cost effective. It seems that was a foolish take. The Gaia Religion is hell bent to drive fossil fuels out of existence while simultaneously driving up the price of the the new black gold, electricity, up so high that the wide spread benefits of a modern technological society blink out and go dark. Thus saving the planet from the evils of western civilization. Unless something changes the endpoint here is a new dark ages, figuratively and this time literally.

382 If you read the law allowing lawsuits against people who deprive persons of their Constitutional rights (42 USC 1983) the ONLY people who actually have qualified immunity, are judges, and the law describes how even they can lose it. Only very bad case law has extended that concept to cover other government officials. That bad case law can vanish as quickly as the Supreme Court notes that it is a judicial invention that has no basis in actual law; it is simply a case of judges inventing law out of thin air.

I think it is more that the number of right-thinking allies is 100% among those in positions of power and influence.

i.e. every corporation and institution in the country is controlled by people who are allies of the Marxist Left, or are Marxist Leftists themselves. The right has no one in a position of power and influence anywhere except for Twitter. Every other corporation and institution is controlled by the Marxist Left.

Thus, even if 99% of people do not support Marxist Left policies/ideology, when 99.9% of people in power/influence support it, that is all that matters.
