Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Biden Hires a Campaign Manager; NYT Gives Him a Brushback Pitch, Noting That He Seems Unwilling to Prove He's Mentally CapableBiden has chosen a campaign manager, and, ¡Que sopresa!, it's a Latinx woman. President Joe Biden's 2024 campaign team is slowly taking shape ahead of an expected reelection announcement. Biden is eyeing Julie Chavez Rodriguez to manage his campaign for a second term, and he is also considering Democratic operative Michael Tyler for a key communications role, according to multiple reports. A decision has not been made about Tyler. ... Chavez Rodriguez is one of the most well-known Latinas in the Biden White House, and she serves as the director of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and a senior adviser to Biden. She also served as the deputy campaign manager of Biden's 2020 election team, which was managed by Jen O'Malley Dillon, who is now the White House's deputy chief of staff. Chavez Rodriguez is the granddaughter of the prominent labor activist Cesar Chavez. Biden has a bust of him in the White House. Meanwhile, Tyler has worked at high levels across the Democratic Party over recent years, including as the chief of staff for the Democratic National Committee and Sen. Cory Booker's (D-NJ) 2020 presidential campaign. Tyler also has experience working on technical ballot problems.Ah, he's bringing in people to "fortify the election." Well dog my cat. The New York Times chides Biden for remaining Basement Biden, refusing to present himself for press conferences. They do not call him demented, exactly, but point out there are questions about his mental fitness, and one easy way to dispel such questions is to stand and face an adversarial, curious press. Or even the press we currently have, that would be at least something. Instead, he refuses. And what conclusion can you draw from that...? Can YOU... ![]() This opening has been huge and welcoming since May of 2019 and you have never stepped through it a single time, New York Times. I guess you're not "critics," then, even of a fake president who refuses to engage in the most basic of presidential functions. Because he has galloping dementia. He was always stupid and a boastful blusterer but now he's mentally degenerated and getting worse every single day. Note that Biden is widely expected to announce his newest Basement Campaign for Basement President tomorrow... by carefully-edited videotape, using the most lucid clips from 20 different takes. Meanwhile, Biden is six points behind a "generic Republican." In NBC News poll shows that Democrat President Joe Biden trails a generic Republican significantly, ahead of his expected campaign launch this week, a major setback for the incumbent president who is likely to seek a second term. The poll found that if Biden runs and is the Democrat nominee for president, only 41 percent of respondents would probably or definitely vote for him in November 2024. In contrast, if Biden is the Democrat nominee, 47 percent of respondents said they would probably or definitely vote for the GOP nominee, whoever it is. That means Biden trails by 6 percent on the cusp of his expected reelection campaign launch this week, a major humiliation for the sitting president and a boon for the burgeoning Republican field which is currently led by former President Donald Trump. Biden is reportedly expected to release a video on Tuesday formally launching a 2024 reelection campaign.I've said this before, but I do not understand Trump Fans' crowing about a poll showing Trump one or two points over the most disastrous president, ever. Don't people understand that having a two point poll lead over the worst president ever is not a sign of strength?! And let's not dance around it: Biden will probably not even be alive by November 2024. His spirit may be willing, but his flesh is rotten and demented. He is one slip in the shower, one tug of a dog's tale, one dizzying powersniff of a little girl's hair, away from Perdition. I think it's just crazy to assume Biden will be the nominee. It's like playing chess and plotting your strategy around the opponent making his worse possible moves, instead of his strongest. Meanwhile, Biden has trained his protegée a little too well. Vice President Kamala Harris butchered the name for the FDA in an interview about abortion rights that aired Friday. Harris mistakenly said the Federal Drug Administration approved the abortion pill mifepristone more than two decades ago -- but such an agency doesn't exist. The Food and Drug Administration is the correct title for the administration also referred to as the FDA, which signed off on the abortion drug. The veep was speaking with Noticias Telemundo's Vanessa Hauc about the current state of abortion in the country when she made the error. She brought up the ongoing court battle over the FDA's decision to approve mifepristone -- which is often used with a second drug to end pregnancies without the need for surgery -- in 2000. "On the mifepristone issue, it's politicians finding a court, targeting a specific court that they thought would be helpful to them, to take a medication off the market, which was approved 20 years ago by the Federal Drug Administration," Harris said. Just wait until Biden walks away with SC in the primary easily.
Then any concern about his mental acuity will be conspiracy theorizing. I remember when the press carried Kamala's accusations that Biden was racist for supporting the crime bill in the 90s, and then "you ain't black" if you don't vote for Biden a few months later. Weird, huh? Yeah I was gonna say, where is this mythical adversarial press? Both parties are saying they won't have debates, which honestly is fine with me because they were a waste of time that almost never had any impact on any election. But this clearly plays into the hands of the Democrats who cannot put ol Joey Fingers on the stage for a debate. He barely made it through the ones last time. Governor Gavin Newsom’s wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, was paid $1.5 million over the decade to run a non-profit film and school curriculum organization, Adam Andrzejewski told the Drill Down. The group licenses its films to 5,000 schools across the country, which pay licensing fees to the non-profit. The non-profit doesn’t create the films. It gets worse for Trump. Fair or not, he will not generate the vote of any generic Republican. He will also provide Biden the advantage of avoiding voters most important issues, the ones he's failing on, to take a back seat. Instead it will be about Trump as co start deflection. It will also take away the age issue, as the media will doggedly pursue that. There are a lot of things unique to Trump that no other candidate would carry as baggage. The process of getting to vote for him was a process of seeing what he does that's different and sometimes what is good. Because Republicans made him the only gamble to make sure somebody like Garland didn't get on the Supreme Court. I'd say that in watching Trump, even he would admit he has an ego. Does that make him "egotistical"? I don't think so. He might have had a margin of excess ego than someone needs to apply for the most important and powerful job in America. Trump loosely applies his rules. Which is why I got tired of watching him. But one of the rules he tries to achieve is Win-Win. He knew there was praise in doling out praise, which he did quite a lot. As "egotistical" as people claim he is, they also gripe about the praise he handed out to the "wrong people". Big Pharma
Facism is what happened. As late as the Clinton admin, the Dems were remarkably hostile to pharma companies, in part because of the outsized role plaintiffs' lawyers played in the Dem coalition. GWB, by contrast, was on the side of Big Pharma to an almost laughable degree. That dynamic changed in the Obama admin. Whether it was the pharma companies that reached out to him or vice versa, the Dem establishment made its peace with Big Pharma, which now has no natural enemies in Washington. Regarding Trump vs DeSantis, unless voting is made secure in key states, it really does not matter.
See no signs of Ronna and the RNC crew doing it, not much sign of either candidate setting up a network of operatives to do it (you need lawsuits now in the mill to clear out floaters from the voter rolls). Floaters are those registered to non existent residences, that may or may not be dead, moved, or other such, etc. Federal and state lawsuits to clear the rolls are relatively simple to do. Trump conflates "loyalty" with "yes" men. Everything o say is totally the best idea and nobody should disagree. He also has an inability to change. He's stuck in the last election and doesn't realize that a constant, unrelenting discussion of the issues and what he will specifically do to change things would be a winning formula. Instead it's a bunch of pejoratives, stolen election crap, and strolls down memory lane with him as the main character. A criminal pretends to be an Amazon deliverer to invade a home. What Would You Do? WWBD? I think that's a bit of a tough one. Amazon stopped hiring contractors with their own personal vehicles near me, so all Amazon deliveries now come from a standard Amazon vehicle. But a home invader doing this tactic wouldn't necessarily need to claim to be an Amazon worker, would they? At least once every couple of months we get our neighbor's mail mixed in with ours, so it's not abnormal for us to go and hand deliver mail. I usually am armed if I went out earlier in the day. I just leave the gun on my person. Though I don't arm up in the home if I haven't gone out. I think I'm going to have to consider keeping a quick open lock box near the front door so I can easily arm up if any stranger comes to the door without having to run to my safe. ------------- Either candidate is good enough so you get more hyperbole from either side as to why you must select A or B. But, no consideration of the elephant in the room--quite literally--addressing the known voter fraud in 2020 and now 2022. In AZ for 2022, the margin of fraud and rigging probably hit 10 percent or more which makes it impossible to elect a Republican in that state and that makes it virtually impossible to win in MI, PA, or perhaps WI. Through their ponzi vote harvesting machine, the Dems won the Senate Seat in 2020 with giftcards and fraud and used the same technique in WI in the Supreme Court race just past. They are now literally buying votes via untraceable giftcards along with stuffing the ballot box, screwing up the machines in GOP land, and inserting/deleting voter registrations in real time to get the ballot numbers needed. In January 2005, the Supreme Court declined to hear Womack+Hampton Architects v. Metric Holdings Limited Partnership, according to the docket on the court's website. Had a justice been recused from participating in the case, it would have been noted. There were no such notations. The Crow name does not appear in the caption of the case, but a corporate disclosure statement attached to the filing says that the corporate parent of Metric Holdings is Trammell Crow Residential Company. According to a statement from Harlan Crow's office, the Crow family at the time had a non-controlling interest in Trammell Crow Residential Company. "At the time of this case, Trammell Crow Residential operated completely independently of Crow Holdings with a separate management team and its own independent operations," Crow's office said in the statement. I don't see any evidence of panic in this. Its incremental, getting done what can be done each moment in time. I suspect that the GOP has interfered for years in primaries with voter fraud and rigging is why states are so resistant to fixing it even in Red Areas. Trump, being a glamour CEO, is a rascally imperious character, which comes with up and downsides such as he can wage political war when needed but is less adept at nuanced governing that builds consensus. I don't see any evidence of panic in this. Its incremental, getting done what can be done each moment in time. ------- You have to build a consensus first when doing such changes. 6 weeks is an outlier in what will fly over time is my guess based on other nations and the consensus building in the US. > Have you considered Bear Spray?
I'm not a fan of bear spray. First, if I have to use it as home defense, I've just fogged my own home. Now what do I do when my whole family is coughing and gagging and the bad guy's backup is outside? Second, counterintuitively, bear spray is less spicy than human spray. If you don't believe me, check the labels. Yes, you can get a big fogger, so the bad guy gets hit with more volume, but again, so do you. I'd rather use a more targeted, higher spiciness spray if I had to use it. But some people can fight though it, and 2-3% are immune. Spray has its uses, but against a home invader, I'd prefer a gun. I think of spray as more of a brushback in public for rowdy people like drunks and bums who are trouble but don't rise to the level of having to be shot. "I think it's just crazy to assume Biden will be the nominee."
Totally agree. I think it's a ruse, and then Michelle or someone like her will ride to the rescue. Of course, he's been told that he's The One. The DNC et al. know that the Bidens are probably toast after Comer gets through with them. And even if they get Maria B. fired too, that news will get out. The Democrats want to make this a permanent election issue and really don't want it brought to a final resolution, even if its in their favor. Posted by: SMOD at April 25, 2023 03:11 PM You got that right. As soon as I saw the SC tire of Roe v Wade and kick it back to the states, I said, "Uh, oh." 50 state elections for Governor, Senator, House, etc in jeopardy... forever. The (R)'s have to learn how to play the game... and win. So far, the track record is pathetic. Posted by: Divide by Zero at April 25, 2023 04:30 PM (enJYY) 533
I get paid over $85 per hour working from home with 2 kids at home. I never thought I'd be able to do it but my best friend earns over 12,000 bucks a month doing this and she convinced me to try. The potential with this is endless.
