The article quotes Dril, a guy famous for once saying something mildly amusing about corncobs.

Seriously, that's the kind of academic wizardry we're dealing with here. They got one tiny bit of unearned recognition and they'll burn down the planet before they allow anyone else to have what they did.

Since none of them ever says anything worthwhile, all this achieves is making it slightly more involved to mock them the way they deserve.

And there's a very simple solution to all this: Make the Block button a paid feature. Then everyone will be happy.

As I said yesterday, the small tablet market consists of the iPad Mini and a bunch of suck, and this is the suck. It's actually worse than their Tab M8 Gen 3.

This is almost an interesting idea. It lacks the Four Essential Keys bit that smaller screen is touch and pen-enabled so you can program it with whatever buttons you might need.

Only problem there is it's basically one of Lenovo's small tablets built into a laptop, and Lenovo's small tablets are a bunch of suck.

I'm up early to work out, which I haven't done since Thursday. The Killer Kittens are playing rough with each other. Last night Miss Linda and I had to bathe little Dagny's rump; she was, uh, a little dirty. She was pretty good about it, just tried hard to escape. Apparently what I need is one of those shower hoses, the kind of thing they use in a salon, instead of dunking her rear in warm water with Dawn soap. I toweled her, but she still looked drowned-rattish for a while. Fortunately she does not seem to hold a grudge.

29 If you are willing to allow that a 10.5" screen is mini, ok, small, the Surface Go boxes, especially the m3/i3 versions are just lovely to use. I once had an 8-in Samsung tablet and I got very frustrated with it and got rid of it and thought I'd give the Surface Go a go. 2 years later this little computer goes with me everywhere every single day with my only negative is the battery life is a little light. On occasion I run it out of power and I have to put it away. But for the most part I just charge it when I get home and it's never been a real practical issue. The interesting rumor is Microsoft will release an ARM version sometimes towards the end of the year which should address the battery issue. That machine will get me to upgrade provided the performance is roughly equivalent to the m3/i3s, which it should be.

This is true. Once again my son's cat, he had her in a harness as a kitten and got her used to walking on a leash. They go all over the place together. It's hilarious. They also go to the pub together. She loves ride in on his shoulder and then she lays in the middle of the floor so everybody has to walk around her and give her pets. She's quite the drama queen.

The degree of difficulty here is he barely had any money, he can't get a loan without a cosigner and his parents won't cosign for him because they're dicks. what to do? He found a Geo Metro two-door, 3. cylinders, for 750 bucks. It even came with an extra engine. It is so lovely what happens when a young person gets that first real job that's going to make them real money and then they solve the car problem with a near zero budget. I have not bought a new car since 1985. My first car was new, a Ford Maverick my then-fiancee purchased with a small legacy. I loved it and learned a lot about taking care of cars with it. Some years later, when the Volvo I'd bought burned up, I bought a new Ford Escort 4-door. Damned annoying little vehicle, and I was glad to move on to pre-owned Oldsmobiles, Mercedes, and now Buicks. And there was a quick dizzying affair with a BMW 3 Series.

Used cars are overpriced now, but new ones are far worse.

Skip, you mean the instrument panel readout of the exterior temp? Most of the year I wish I could turn the Buick's readout off. I do not want to know it's 94 out there. All three of my Buicks have had it, and so did the BMW.

Some have suggested I put a piece of black electrical tape over the spot where the readout appears. I can just imagine what kind of gumminess that would leave on the screen -- if I could even remove it after it's been melted into the plastic in the hot interior after a few weeks. Uh, no.

If it is an android, I have occasionally had that issue. Mostly, you need to close the 'keyboard' by exiting out of the messages window, or touching the cursor sometimes clears it.
