Are We Worse Than The UK? Hard To Believe, But It Is Possible
Post-modern America is careening headlong into a national consciousness that rejects its history, traditional culture, and political uniqueness (read: individual freedom)...everything that has made us the envy of the world. Our history is becoming a dirty word. Our founders, our great scientists, our explorers, our political figures of a certain ilk are being marginalized; replaced in America's pantheon by a motley crew whose only claim to fame is the correct genitalia, melanin, and progressive (read: socialist) bona fides. Their scholarship is garbage, their dedication to freedom and liberty is laughable, and their goals for America are antithetical to that of the founders and in direct opposition to exactly what made America the greatest nation in history.
Santayana was of course correct!Those who cannot remember the past are doomed to repeat it.By all measures the United Kingdom is heading over the same cliff, and from our perspective they might even be ahead of us! Their woke insanity has no constitutional limitations, so free speech in the UK is a quaint idea whose time has passed. Their surveillance state is more sophisticated than ours, at least as it pertains to the average Brit... cameras everywhere, no expectation of privacy on line, and fewer protections against the depredations of the state. But there is a cultural memory that is front-and-center, and has resisted the wholesale destruction that is engulfing America. Obviously, there are many examples of post-modern rejection of tradition, but there is also a vibrant respect for the glory of the United Kingdom's historical success...Scientific, diplomatic, martial, cultural, and most important, the inculcation of Western Cultural values in the foreign lands that Great Britain discovered, conquered, colonized, and civilized. When a country in distress-- like most of the West -- still has the cultural memory to revere the titans who came before them and who are most responsible for their current position in the world; perhaps there is hope. These are in Westminster Abbey, among the 3,300 who are buried there. It is a repository for the memory of that which made Britain Great.

I watched a video not that long ago, showing the tombs of all U.S. Presidents. Some are buried in spectacular monuments, some quite obscure, and which is which does not appear to be dependent on the actual "greatness" of the man.
Seems to me, when you get down to it, Washington is pretty much the only American who is almost universally revered, and even he owned slaves, so I assume in some circles he's the devil incarnate.

I watched the little three episode documentary on the McDonald's strip search case. I didn't realize how widespread (so sorry, unavoidable pun) it was.
This is the fundamental disconnect between them shoving trannies down our collective throats, and just how vulnerable some people, ESPECIALLY YOUNG GIRLS are to being coerced.

Some of the women, however, were lesbians who wanted to look like a straight couple, and one was happy to become bald and grow facial hair in order to "fit it". I think a lot of gays see it as a rejection of gay, and they don't reject it.

The progressives have been winning, with only the occasional respite, since the Wilson administration. Finally got to reading the Ace DJT lamentation and all the comments, which are very good. I guess I side with whig:

Despite all his faults, and I've noted them in the past, IMHO DJT vs any Dem has to be a no-brainer. Whoever Dems nominate will be determined to deliberately destroy Legacy America; that's the Dem platform in a nutshell. I still believe DJT does not despise us like the rest of the country now does, although surely he's made a lot of mistakes. If we get either DJT or RdS, I think we're doing as well as we can hope.
Vivek talks the talk fer sure, but for some reason I don't trust him yet. I know nothing about the 'electability' phenomenon, but FWIW I'm having a bit of doubt whether 70M+ Americans will pull a lever for him.

I listened to his podcast with James Lindsey, don't recall what he said about 2A, but I don't think he's on the "common sense gun legislation" bandwagon.
He does come off as quite naive about some things though.

We won WWII on the backs of a strong artillery, with great doctrine. The Infantry did well after Kasserine Pass, but our artillery and air support broke the back of the Germans and Italians.

I am in my natural disposition an optimist. In fact, my optimism often drives my wife nuts. Any cursory examination will show that. The last straw for me has been Christian churches over the last 30-40 years gradually giving in on all sorts of sin… now declining to label them sins. When the salt loses its savor the final collapse of society is inevitable. My approach: I pray and live my life the best way I know how.

This is from the same RedState.com of Mike Miller, the guy who clains Yahoo News as a truthful source of information.
Returning to Ben Kew, does he really believe in poll numbers from the AP? All the other, most recent polls show Trump leading Biden by up to 4-5 points nationally and up to 27 points over his nearest primary rival, Ron Desantis. If these polls are to be seriously considered, then the AP poll that Kew is pushing makes no sense mathematically. For 70% to not want President Trump to run in 2024, there's no way possible he'd be leading in all these other polls or amongst Republican voters in the primary.
