Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Elon Musk Humiliates "Journalist" Who Has, Get This, a Leftwing Agenda and NPC Talking PointsBefore getting to that: NPR rage-quit Twitter, as Clownfish TV put it. Here's NPR's own story announcing their rage-quitting.NPR [flounces out of ] Twitter after being falsely labeled as 'state-affiliated media' NPR will no longer post fresh content to its 52 official Twitter feeds, becoming the first major news organization to go silent on the social media platform. In explaining its decision, NPR cited Twitter's decision to first label the network "state-affiliated media," the same term it uses for propaganda outlets in Russia, China and other autocratic countries. The decision by Twitter last week took the public radio network off guard. When queried by NPR tech reporter Bobby Allyn, Twitter owner Elon Musk asked how NPR functioned. Musk allowed that he might have gotten it wrong. Twitter then revised its label on NPR's account to "government-funded media." The news organization says that is inaccurate and misleading, given that NPR is a private, nonprofit company with editorial independence. It receives less than 1 percent of its $300 million annual budget from the federally funded Corporation for Public Broadcasting. By going silent on Twitter, NPR's chief executive says the network is protecting its credibility and its ability to produce journalism without "a shadow of negativity." PBS was also tagged "State Funded Media," and they have also quit. "PBS stopped tweeting from our account when we learned of the change and we have no plans to resume at this time,"a spokesman for the outlet told The Hill. "We are continuing to monitor the ever-changing situation closely." Oh, they'll be back. Proggy weirdoes can never quit Twitter. Or -- they can quit, they just can't stay quit. They don't have real lives and only exist on social media that they control and curate. On to the state-funded BBC: Elon Musk sat down for an interview with James Clayton of the State Funded BBC. (Twitter has branded the BBC, correctly, as "State Funded." They probably should go back to just calling it "state media.") Musk had rules, though: The interview would be live-streamed as it happened. This, you will see, took away Clayton's power to edit Musk's answers to give Musk the Reality TV Assh*le Edit and to give himself the Reality TV Hero Edit. We got to see exactly what was said and what happened, without the media cleaning it all up later to make themselves look like Competent Professionals. It didn't go well for this credentialed "Journalist."
C"What a crazy interview." That's his single acknowledgement that the interview took place. No mention that the "journalist" was "crazy unprepared" or "crazy agenda-driven" or "crazy about tired talking points." Guy agreed and seemed to get it. Then 10 minutes later with the Der Spiegel editors, he reverts to typical passive stupid form (typical for 99% of all non-idiotic public figures), as they ask ridiculous false-premise questions. "52 official Twitter feeds"
Could NPR be any more bloated? An aside: bloat is the reason they went with FM over AM. More stations are needed. They cost more to run. More employees are needed. A bigger river of money is required. 52 official Twitter feeds, just for NPR's national brand. How many hundreds more for each individual station, show, and local personality? There was that WH interview where Stahl (? coulda been another interchangeable vapid media nitwit) was counter-filmed by WH staff, and was immediately busted on some nonsense she tried to pull. Was hilarious, but of course got little notice. Stahl was extremely huffy of course. This technique is not new. Odd thing is, a member of the borg actually was one of the first to use it when he rose, disastrously, into some semi-important position during the disastrous Clinton years.

It was surely edited and cut. But if Stahl had stopped MTG from citing the videos, MTG would be talking about it. Also, it's imperative to shoot your own video of all news reporter interviews, so you have an unedited copy to present. If MTG didn't do that, she's not savvy enough to talk to the media. A leftist can make a sweeping assertion and it is given the presumption of truth. A conservative has always been held to courtroom standards of proof when they make a statement. Musk would not buy into their rigged game of accepting one of heir premises by responding to this type of questioning. Even if they don't like him, Republicans could learn a lot from this. ssh'ing into the bloody machine to start vnc is sub-optimal. Is it 5'OClock yet? I'm going to guess there's nothing in the logs to tell you why it's being a PITA, or you'd have it running already. What happened was the so-called 'journalist' wanted to scream about 'hate speech' in their continued effort to stampede the sheep I to agreeing to ban 'hate speech', WITHOUT A CONCRETE DEFINITION.
Then AFTER they banned 'hate speech', they would include crap like using the wrong pronoun. That's what this is about. Musk FIRST demands a definition. The reporter refuses to provide one because he knows goddamn well that what normal people consider 'hate speech' (things like racial or sexist slurs), have NOT gone up. In an historic ruling, the U.S. Supreme Court this morning held that Texas Accountant Michelle Cochran has the right to challenge the constitutionality of her Administrative Law Judge’s (ALJ) removal protections in federal court before undergoing an administrative adjudication. Writing unanimously for the Court, Justice Kagan’s opinion stated, “The statutory review schemes set out in the Securities Exchange Act and Federal Trade Commission Act do not displace a district court’s federal-question jurisdiction over claims challenging as unconstitutional the structure or existence of the SEC or FTC.” “The ordinary statutory review scheme,” she wrote, “does not preclude a district court from entertaining these extraordinary claims.”

I bet they prohibit church bells on the grounds of noise ordinances, though. Posted by: FeatherBlade If people had a backbone, they could bring the city to a screeching halt. Also humilate them by showing & telling them how they use to know, used to try. In the case of the PBS, how they brought so much important information to citizens in the past. (i.e., NPR dot org, Sept 19, 2019, National Security, Edward Snowden on the NSA, He won't cooperate with Russia)

Has NPR ever been on AM? I've always found it on FM, usually at the far left of the dial.
Posted by: Alberta Oil Peon at April 14, 2023 01:54 PM (tkR6S) Yes, NPR is on AM in Oregon, there were three stations originally for Oregon Public Broadcasting that grew out of the college stations. They tend to be on the far left of the dial like 550 AM. Lot of FM too, now. NPR used to be one of a series of public broadcasting groups, the others were Public Raido Intermational out of MN and Pacifica Radio out of California. I think they are all gone now. Peter Schikele's Shikele Mix was on PRI, as well as a couple others. Pacifica did some weird stuff, something with Noetic sciences and music from the heart of space I think Posted by: Kindltot at April 14, 2023 02:05 PM (xhaym) 340

It will be awesome, the shock-and-awe campaign to drive this one loudly into everyone's room, everyone's car, everyone everywhere. Women's right to choose. Woman's right to choose. Vote by mail today! It is the single issue that can make the young want to vote, it makes the suburban women want to vote twice, the blacks will line up for it, it allows the MFM to portray the right as fascist haters, as people of the most dangerous kind. In 2020 in Portland, a black family, the Kinneys, who were "sovereign citizen" nuts, decided that they were under no legal obligation to pay their mortgage anymore on the "Red House" that they owned.
The lender moved to foreclose, and all hell broke loose - there was even a armed Antifa militia "protecting" the property from the cops and anyone else who might try to enforce the foreclosure. An reporter for Oregon Public Broadcasting, Sergio Olmos, accurately reported that the Kinneys weren't actually living in the Red House, but were renting it out. OPB's response was to fire Olmos, and issue a groveling apology for doing journalism that went against the Narrative. Posted by: The ARC of History! at April 14, 2023 02:07 PM (2tUFv) 346

Just weighing in on Elon Musk's media strategy. Every conservative needs to adopt the same conditions when being interviewed by state media. It must be broadcast or streamed live. That way they can't edit it to make you look bad by taking things out of context. Oh sure, they'll try by distributing unflattering clips later on, but the full unedited interview will always be there to back up your side of the event.
