Warner Bros. continues destroying their own brand by having George Lopez announce that their most popular and lucrative character, Batman, "is a fascist."

Bruce Wayne lost everything he had (parents), and then worked for everything he had (ability). The money helps but is just a device to move the plot along sometimes. Chunky Hispanic boy was given something. Actually, chunky Hispanic boy stole something. No skill, never needed to work for anything. Stole it. And now he expects everyone to respect him. No, not expects. Demands. He's ALSO Batman, except better. Because shut up. It's a perfect statement for today. Weirdly, last night's movie streaming became Inadvertent Trannie Watching Night -
1) Currently, streaming on Prime.. "Deliver Us From Evil" A terrific, Korean action thriller wherein a "good" assassin is trying to safe his daughter from being vivisected for her organs by a transplant gang in Bangkok, while both he and his daughter are being pursued by "The Butcher" a Yakuza hit man who wants vengeance and won't stop till he gets it. Bloody, violent in a John Wicking manner. Great action and acting. Except- Yeah, Bangkok. So, a trannie(ladyboy) is a major character. And given what we know now about that whole dealio, the "heartwarming ending is just a cringey ":Ewww. How awful" moment. YMMV. 2) "The Color of Night" streaming on Criterion. Maybe the stupidest movie Bruce Willis ever made. With a trannie that's central to the plot. Trannieness somewhat mitigated cuz it's involuntary. Murder mystery with terrible dialog and action. And just goofy Twister-like conclusion. BONUS! You get to see nearly every square inch of Jane March's nekkid body. It's real and it's spectacular. Oh, and for the ladies, some nekkidish Bruce Willis. Terrible movie. YMMV. Posted by: naturalfake at April 04, 2023 04:58 PM (mm6iK) Posted by: 18-1 at April 04, 2023 04:58 PM (lc5cP) 173

Posted by: I am the Shadout Mapes, the Housekeeper at April 04, 2023 04:31 PM (PiwSw) Cage takes on so many weirdo roles that you forget just how good of an actor he is- He is great in "Frozen Ground" streaming on Prime, where he plays an FBI agent hunting down a serial killer of young women. Very subtle and deliberate . As this is based on a true crime spree, I think they were trying to make this as "real life" as they could. The photos of the victims at the end is very grim. Nice procedural drama. Good tension. Great acting all around. An actor I hate, John Cusack actually does a great job as well, Definitely recommended even for you Nicholas Cage haters. Check it out.
