Alvin Bragg Charges Law-Abiding Man for Attempted Murder, For Shooting a Thief Who Shot Him Twice
Then Announces He's Dropping Charges

These are the priorities of a Soros Prosecutor -- prosecute a president, prosecute a man for defending his own life.

He's only not prosecuting this guy because he realizes that prosecuting a man who defended his own life against a violent thief would make his political prosecution look even worse.

Recall that he was fully prepared to prosecute that bodega owner who killed his own attacker, and held him at Rikers for almost a week, and only dropped the charges when public opinion turned savagely against him.

And he would have sent this guy to Rikers too -- but he's worried about optics, given that he's criminalizing a non-criminal act in the Trump case.

A Manhattan parking garage attendant who was shot twice while confronting an alleged thief -- then wrestled the gun away and opened fire on the suspect -- has been charged with attempted murder, police said.

The thief shot this man twice. He wrestled the gun away and then shot at the thief.

Bragg charged him with attempted murder.

Bragg is acting as a mafioso kingpin, protecting the criminals of the city, and vengefully prosecuting anyone who defies his legions of Street Capos.

The overnight worker, identified by cops as Moussa Diarra, 57, was also hit with assault and criminal possession of a weapon charge in the Saturday incident, which unfolded around 5:30 a.m. as the attendant saw a man peering into cars on the second floor of the West 31st Street garage, the sources said.

He was in "criminal possession" of a weapon... when he wrestled the gun away from a thief who had shot him with it twice.

Bragg is laying down his own illegal law: If a criminal wants to rob you or kill you or r@pe yhou, You must gladly allow him to do so.

Believing the man was stealing, the attendant brought him outside and asked what was inside his bag.

Instead of cooperating, the man pulled out a gun, the sources said.

Diarra tried to grab for the weapon, and it went off -- leaving him shot in the stomach and grazed in the ear by a bullet before he turned the firearm on the would-be thief and shot him in the chest, sources said.

...

The initial charges against Diarra sparked outrage -- and recalled the case of Manhattan bodega clerk Jose Alba, who was charged with murder after a fatal July 1 confrontation in his store with an angry customer who came behind his counter and accosted him.

Family friend Mariame Diarra, who is not related to the attendant, slammed the decision to hit the married dad of two with charges.

"That's self-defense. The guy tried to rob his business," she told The Post. "He's there for security. That's literally his job, to defend his business. ... He takes his job seriously. ... Attempted murder charge has no place there. He [robber] came to find him at his job with his gun, he [Diarra] has to defend himself."

An individual who works nearby the garage, which is across from Moynihan Train Station, was also incredulous.

"You are kidding. That's an April Fool Day joke, right?" the worker asked of the charges against Diarra, adding, "How can a hardworking man get arrested for defending himself?"

Bragg has now announced that he won't go forward with another lawless, evil prosecution.

But again: Only because of the current optics. If this had happened during a period when he wasn't prosecuting Trump, he would prosecute this hero.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg will not prosecute the parking-garage attendant who shot a suspected thief after getting wounded himself, the DA's office told The Post on Sunday.

Moussa Diarra, 57, was shot twice by alleged thief Charles Rhodie, 59, early Saturday before turning the tables on the suspect and pumping a bullet into him with the accused criminal's handgun, authorities said.

Yet cops charged Diarra with attempted murder, assault and gun possession in the case, while Rhodie was slapped with those three raps as well as burglary.

But Bragg -- who is already under fire for indicting former President Donald Trump last week in a fraud-related case -- will dismiss the case against Diarra "pending further investigation," his office said.

Ah. "Pending further investigation" -- reserving the right to prosecute this guy if Trump gets the charges against him dismissed.

The raps remain against Rhodie, who police sources say has at least 20 prior arrests, mostly for petit larceny, with the most recent one occurring in 2018. Diarra has no priors, sources said.

This NY Post opinion piece notes Bragg's protection of criminals, and prosecution of victims.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced on taking office he would not prosecute even some very violent crimes.

Almost immediately after he distributed his now-infamous Day One memo, two police officers were killed and a few others shot.

A 19-year-old girl was shot and killed working at a Harlem Burger King.

He is incompetent, and we knew this would happen -- I and others warned of it during the campaign.

And that was way before he woke up one day and decided a former US president is one of the few people he would actually prosecute.

Things have not gotten better, only progressively worse (pun intended).

In his first year, Bragg downgraded 52% of felonies to misdemeanors -- compared with 39% downgraded in 2019 -- and had a dismal 51% conviction rate for felonies he did charge.

No one is safer as he promised as a result of his delusion and diversions.

Bragg released a woman who participated in the brutal killing of a US veteran on time served after only 14 months.

In Alvin Bragg's New York, you can literally get away with murder.

But don't you dare defend yourself or his office will prosecute you as the criminal while treating your attacker as the victim -- just as he did with bodega clerk Jose Alba, who ended up fleeing Gotham for the safety of the Dominican Republic.

A customer's boyfriend attacked Alba after the woman refused to pay for a bag of chips.

She also stabbed Alba, who in self-defense grabbed a knife and ultimately killed the boyfriend.

Guess who was the only person to face charges in that case?

Not the woman who stabbed Alba. Only Alba, the victim, was charged.

Alvin Bragg is not a champion for the little guy. He is no hero. He is a criminal enabler.

Plain and simple.

...

He says he doesn't have enough "resources" to make sure New Yorkers don't get killed by taking very violent people off the streets.

Yet he has the resources to prosecute a former president on charges everyone else decided he couldn't be prosecuted for?

We have four city district attorneys with the same public-defender mentality.

They pride themselves on overturning "wrongful" convictions of gang members and murderers.

This is a key detail.

None of these Soros DAs are hiding their motives from the voters. They campaign on it. They repeatedly say what they are going to do. There's no stealth effort on their part. This is what the cities are voting for.

If they're not voting for it and it's just fraud, then maybe the people should take a look at that. Instead, they're just fleeing.

Why is why I feel like state-level governors, especially in places like Missouri, must make cleaning the voter rolls in blue enclaves priority number 1.

What if an audit discovers that a city is actually overcounting by 100%? And they vote at double rates, as well? How much power can a Republican governor legally, justly, and rightly take from a blue city within their own borders?

106 The "Mar Largo Documents" case and the typical desperate "obstruction of justice" Hail Mary was the original hope of all demented lefty liberals. But Bragg's case going to indictment blew that up for them and they know it - no one in the Punchy admin would have allowed that NY DA dope to go forward with this retarded case if the SP from the DOJ had anything that he wanted to bring in an indictment. It's pretty obvious now that he declined that opportunity, and the GA prosecutor also declined - they actually do fear for the reputations in these things. Even Bragg...

But this was the coordination that Congress is interested in investigating They all worked this out about who was going to get to be the stupid one among them - and even Bragg didn't want to be the idiot here. But he got picked and he's falling on his sword for the left.

The SS guys being subpoenaed is just visuals for the lefty rubes who are concerned because of the weak Bragg case - but the SP already balked on his indictment chance.

155 The guy who hunted down the man who stole his truck and shot him to death, that's a tougher case to defend (although still arguably permissible -- especially in Texas) but this sounds really open and shut based on what we know.

The kakistocracy continues to refuse to do their job that they swore to do as public servants. A truck gets stolen, everyone knows that the kakistocracy will do nothing which leaves individuals with the duty to recover their own goods.

Texas permits the use of deadly force when countering felonies or "mischief at night". Stealing a truck is a felony. The vic should have shown up at night and get the double protection.

What we are learning is Shoot Shovel Shut-up, because the kakistocracy is pro-criminal, pro-chaos, pro-destruction of civilization.

What if an audit discovers that a city is actually overcounting by 100%? And they vote at double rates, as well? How much power can a Republican governor legally, justly, and rightly take from a blue city within their own borders?

I'm not certain it makes his life better if, as I suspect, this hastens the end of the dollar as the reserve currency. The United States' stature as the predominant economy continues but it has diminished significantly in the last year. This latest stunt by the Banana Empire (this is being done on behalf of the DOJ) shows how horribly unstable the United States has become. Bragg and that ilk will reign in hell with dollars worth pennies in the not-so-distant future. Yes, Bragg is a leftwing psychopath and all that, and like the rest, he is greedy and the sugar rush will wear off soon enough.

If you do it, you're a sinner and a heretic, so its bad. If they do it, they are righteous and just and true, so its good.

You start out, bottom line, before doing anything, as sinful and unbelievers who fail to believe in the True Faith, and EVERYTHING YOU DO IS WRONG. So if you stumble, its just another instance of your sin. If they do the same, its not a stumble, its just service in the faith.

You can use hypocrisy of these fools to pry voters and support away but you will never, ever get them to see the truth or become more objective. They are literally the exaggerated stereotype of the religious zealot they hate and constantly attack.

And I went to college in Michigan in the early 80s, Strohs was the big beer there, and I'd never heard of it before. Back then, Coors was considered exotic and special because it was only in Colorado, too.

Someone who is naturally vicious or evil is very scary but *no type* is as scary as someone who is vicious or evil because they are delusional.

I think that's why The Exorcist and Body Snatchers terrified so many. Nothing is as scary as someone who might be normal but for being possessed and overcome by a delusion. Picture the eyes of an evil monster. Now picture the eyes of someone who is so devoted to a false belief they become evil. There is no contest.

Y'all don't know for beer hangovers. Egyptian Stella brand domestic. NOT the export stuff, which is much safer to drink, but as I recall it tastes rather like low-rent Lowenbrau.

The domestic is bottled in large 1 liter bottles which they reuse. It's common to see 4-5 labels slapped haphazardly over one another on the old bottle. Rumor was that they used formaldehyde in the recipe, either to fortify it or to kill off the weapons-grade pathogens in the Nile water that they used to brew the stuff.

The hangovers were... shattering.

Posted by: Elric Blade at April 03, 2023 02:34 PM (iFTx/)
=========
The issue is that Moussa Diarra defended himself and shot the perp with the perp's own gun. That perp was part of Bragg's street thug/warrior brigade. The crime was sidelining one of Bragg's people.
Self defense, self reliance, showing up to work on time and doing a good job while there, not getting knocked up or knocking up prior to marriage, completing High School, etc., are all remnants of the White patriarchy and are inherently racist. This is the lie that the left would have you believe. The fact that anyone who practices these things, regardless of race or sexual preference, will be successful is irrelevant. They want the chaos. We are in The End Times and the sort of nonsense that Bragg, Bidet and the left are pushing will only get worse.

Posted by: Bonecrusher at April 03, 2023 03:52 PM (JNTt1)

455 I'm guessing that lazy, donut-breathed Bragg heard it from an Asst that Moussa "confronted the man instead of retreating or calling the police" --in broad brush the same fact pattern as the Aubrey case. And of course this smacks of "vigilantism" (self reliance) which according to the Progressive Creed Shall not be tolerated. The legal thread to pull is that the self defense justification is nullified by an initial "illegal" act, which to the pea-brain of Bragg was the "confrontation."

But even in a non-stand-your-ground jurisdiction what is wholly lacking from that picture is that often the least risky path for the citizen confronted by a criminal is to be first physically, while he has initiative.

And, of course, the larger context is (or should be) the essence of actual "prosecutorial discretion" according to which, even if a technical justification could be made for a charge, no prosecutor with a soul or a brain should ever subject a good citizen to charges here.

But of course nothing Bragg does is informed by conscience, except for all-consuming cause of tearing down our "racist oppressive society" for replacement by his commie utopia.

Posted by: Zek at April 03, 2023 04:11 PM (5FPX4)

456 42 Bragg is NOT incompetent. Quit giving him this avenue out. He is malicious and abusing his office to reformulate the relationship between "criminal" and "victim" to create chaos to destroy the current system.
