The Biden Administration Will be Moving Against Air Conditioning Next

Say, remember when the Consumer Protection Board announced plans to ban gas stoves, and within 24 hours, everyone in the propaganda media was saying that anyone mentioning the plan to ban gas stoves was a conspiracy theorist?

Well, Biden wants to ban or limit air conditioning, at least for the Commoners, but if you say anything about this, guess what you are?

Is there a war on appliances? Or is it a war on you?

I'd tell you to keep your cool, but that's going to be hard when Team Biden takes away your air conditioner.

And the Biden administration certainly has an appetite for regulating household appliances in a way that seems calculated to make your life worse.

Many readers will remember the Biden team's recent abortive effort to regulate gas stoves largely out of existence.

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm -- later forced to admit she has a gas stove at home herself -- proposed draconian gas-stove regulations in the name of "climate change" and a dubious scientific study connecting gas cooking and asthma.

She withdrew them in the face of massive public resistance.

...

Now, in the latest episode of Team Biden's "war on appliances," the Energy Department has turned its attention to air conditioners, specifically room air conditioners of the sort used disproportionately by poor people, minorities and the elderly to keep cool in summer heat.

New energy-efficiency regulations promise to make these units more expensive for consumers and potentially less reliable and less effective at, you know, actually cooling things off.

"What these standards do is enforce a level of efficiency that doesn't make sense," the Competitive Enterprise Institute's Ben Lieberman told Fox News Digital last week. "And they compromise product quality. We've already seen this to an extent with cost of clothes-washer standards."

...

They point to climate change and the environment. But if those problems are bad enough to justify putting our most vulnerable citizens at risk during summer heat waves, I think we need to see that our most powerful citizens share in their sacrifice.

Therefore, I have a proposal of my own: Ban air conditioning in Washington, DC.

Sure, it'll be less comfortable. But let's face facts: We won two world wars with a capital city that was largely devoid of air conditioning.

Now there's air conditioning everywhere in DC, but is the government working any better?

...

Dealing with climate change demands sacrifice, we're constantly told, so let those calling for it sacrifice first. Leave our elderly and minority populations alone.

Now about those private jets . . .

6 Republican state lawmakers voted Wednesday to override Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear’s veto of a sweeping GOP bill that curbs transgender medical procedures and limits teaching certain sex-related topics in Kentucky schools.

The House and Senate — both controlled by Republican supermajorities — easily set aside the governor’s March 24 veto. The Senate voted 29-8 in a mostly party line vote. The House followed with a vote of 76-23.

8 Donald Trump lost AZ in 2020 by about 10k votes. Are there 10k snowbird voters in AZ who might be swayed by ads about how Biden wants to take their air conditioners?

Also, none of this would be happening if the GOP Congress back in 2017 had actually found its balls and reigned in all these government powers. But they didn't, because they're lazy, corrupt cowards.

The only way literally to end this shit is to eliminate the EPA. There is too much unaccountable power there, and the democrats when confronted with SCotUS' first bite codified the EPA's ability to control our exhalations as a pollutant. This failure has a lot of moms and dads.

Rip them all out and make it irreversible, just like no one can ever undo the deadly C19 Vax.

250 We need to make a distinction between window air conditioners and mini splits. a Window A/C unit goes in an open window and then you have to make a homemade seal because it won't fit right, and it's worse security. This compromises the insulation value of the home and so it's much less efficient. A mini split goes in a hole cut in the wall and is very, very efficient, especially if you wish to keep one room like your bedroom cooler than the rest of the home. You shouldn't force people to abandon window A/C units but they shouldn't be encouraged either.
