The Morning Report — 3/22/23

braggingrights.jpg

Good morning kids. Our latest podcast, recorded yesterday with the estimable Robert Spencer (linked here and in the sidebar) was among one of our most engaging to date. Obviously, the lion's share of the hour was spent discussing the impending arrest and indictment of former President Trump for a non-crime. It's essentially the moral equivalent of a bill of attainder in which affirmative action hire and supposed Harvard grad (which immediately tells you the worth of a degree earned in the last 20 years or so from that place) Alvin Bragg, probably with the help of fellow Harvard and Columbia grad Barack Obama (like Amos helping Andy, or can I not write that?) literally declaring a completely legal payment via non-disclosure agreement now a federal crime involving illegal use of campaign cash, or something like that.

It's a farce, it's a sham, it's a mockery of a farce of two shams of a travesty. But so is the fact that the United States of America – that is the nation formerly known as the United States of America – has more in common now with a third world banana republic shit hole. And considering the intentional or accidental via intentional ideological destruction of our economy, the censorship and demonization of all voices of political dissent everywhere (because now every aspect of your life is political, not just party politics) and the continued imprisonment of innocent people for a government-staged "riot" among many other depredations that began with a stolen election, we're no doubt already there.

At some point we are going to have what I refer to as the President for Life, for this week. Whether or not they are replaced with whoever is the Flight Lieutenant or Generalissimo du jour, they will all be part and parcel of the Democrat Deep State junta.

Be that as it may, Tucker Carlson and others are warning that should this happen, the nation will have crossed a rubicon.

“The whole thing doesn’t make any sense at all on a legal level,” Carlson observed. “On a political level, it does because Trump is running for president.”

So we have a partisan Soros-backed prosecutor who promised to indict Trump and is potentially going to indict him over something that has long been deemed not a crime.

“If the Democratic Party is allowed to do this, allowed to crush the presidential front-runner, the main threat to their power, with a bogus criminal case, where does that leave us? We’re done because that precedent will live forever and voters will never again determine the outcome of a presidential election. It’s remarkable when you think about it. . . What happens if they get away with this? No one seems to be thinking this through. Everyone’s all spun up, but what happens if they get away with this?"

“If they use the Justice Department in full view of everyone to settle a political score and to keep the White House, just to take a guy out of the race who seems to be doing fairly well, we’ll destroy the justice system and that’s not a small thing. A functioning justice system has kept this country peaceful for hundreds of years. The purpose of a justice system is to administer justice so that citizens don’t have to do it themselves. You outsource that duty to the government. But what happens when you take that away, when there is no justice system?”

“What happens when the Department of Justice decides that its goal is not justice but protecting the ruling class at all costs? . . . Think about that. People are still going to demand justice. The desire for justice is an inherent human desire. We are born with it. But if there’s no neutral place to do it, some people will decide they’re going to have to do it themselves. Now, we don’t know exactly what that’s going to look like, but we can say for certain it’s going to be really ugly.”

Much as I admire and respect TuCa, I have a little newsflash for him: It's already ugly. It got that way when the DOJ, either at the behest or with the tacit approval of the Democrat Party and the RINOs staged the violence on January 6th, 2021 in order to incite a violent reaction from Trump rally goers and thereby create the pretext to ultimately outlaw that party, it's leaders and media personalities. Most notably Carlson as Junta Enemy #1.

And when I saw outlaw the Republican party, I mean anyone who is not a Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger or for that matter Pee-Air Defecto Romney or Mitch McChicom. By the way, that's not just politicians. That's people at school boards who speak out against the brainwashing and disfigurement of their children. People who attempt to protest Drag Queen Story Hour in libraries or worse, hold normal story hours with conservative Christian authors like Kirk Cameron. Citizens who have no choice but to use lethal force, be it with a gun or even barehanded, to protect life and property from a criminal "of color."

PS: once being identified either via religious affiliation or political party registration as a potential "terrorist," "insurrectionist," or other "existential threat to our precious democracy" (*vomit*), watch how fast your firearms are confiscated. Meh, before long, watch how fast you wind up like Paul Manafort, Michael Flynn, Jacob Chansely the Buffalo headdress "terrorist"(!!), the scores of others still rotting away in the Garland Archipelago or otherwise had their lives ruined by being forced to cop a plea. And now, probably like former President Donald Trump.

Think that's bad, look at what happened to the poor woman arrested in England for standing in front of an abortion abattoir and admitting to praying silently. Or what happened to the guy who refused to bake a cake for a godless, heathen homosexual marriage.

We're already way past the point of "getting ugly." It's going to get bloody awful, and you can likely emphasize "bloody." It's why I'm a bit frustrated and disappointed when the conversation steers to the election and the brewing fight between Trump and DeSantis for the nomination. Whoever you support, whoever you're pissed at for saying this or that about the other, the question in my mind is, given everything that is going on and given the fact that we are talking about "things getting ugly" and "crossing the rubicon," does anyone think that the powers that be who stole 2020, sabotaged 2022 and are now about to lock up a former president on zero grounds and chuck him in prison along with the poor stooges entrapped by the DOJ think the 2024 election is going to be able to be won by whoever our candidate is?

I guarantee you that if by some miracle our candidate does pull out the win, watch how fast the rioting happens and worse, Generalissimo Vanilli Milley has the President-elect immediately arrested for "stealing the election." And if you think the cops and the soldiers are going to refuse to carry out that order, think again.

We've crossed so many Rubicons already, I'm Rubicon'd out. I wish Trump and DeSantis would see this and stop acting as if this is just politics as usual. It isn't.

Oh well.

    ABOVE THE FOLD, BREAKING, NOTEWORTHY

  • Executive Order 14019 instructs federal agencies, some of which are unrelated to election administration, to collaborate with external private groups to “promote voter registration and voter participation.” As innocuous as this sounds on its face, the White House is emulating billionaire Mark Zuckerberg’s efforts to influence the 2020 election and turning it into a publicly-funded operation. That’s right: who needs Zuckerbucks when taxpayers like you can fund Democrat voter outreach? And before you say that’s unconstitutional, since when has that mattered to the radical left that feels entitled to power and will do anything to preserve it?
Biden’s Sinister Plan to Rig the 2024 Election for Democrats
  • The scandal began back in November, when agents from CSIS, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, began leaking intel to the Canadian media suggesting that a CCP network had "funded and infiltrated" the campaigns of nearly a dozen candidates in the 2019 federal election.
Chinese Interference in Canadian Elections? Looks That Way

The Best Little Wuhan in Texas
  • "America needs more people who are as clear-sighted and brave as the man in the video."
‘It’s A Pandemic Of Fear’: D.C. Man Shuts Down Fauci’s Vaccine Lies
  • As Terry Jeffrey notes, "If holding the rate of murders and manslaughters to approximately one per day makes a big city one of our nation's safest — and justifies a district attorney's office bragging about the murder rate — we have a violent crime problem in this country." And the Manhattan District Attorney, ALVIN BRAGG, is directly responsible for the slaughter. But Trump said pussy, or something.

16 In 2022, according to the NYPD, there were 438 murders and non-negligent manslaughters in New York City. That works out to an average of one every 20 hours — or more than one per day.

At the same time, the citywide clearance rate for murders — cases that are considered solved — has fallen from around 74 percent in 2018 to just 56 percent this year.

If you remember 2017, it was "Russian Collusion". There have been plenty since. The phrases are not used by accident. They are a signal. They are a hypnotic suggestion for the masses.

The latest buzzword is "hush money". And Ron DeSantis used it. Which means he's just a POS and a turd. Just like 99% of the GOP. But he's in a position to keep it relatively hidden, like Noem was before the tranny bill when she was Miss Tough Patriot Fireworks Gal.

He's been positioned to do just what he's doing. Split the GOP away from the real danger. What a fuck. Go take on Disney, asshole. Rev up some SoCons in your Yale lawyer suit. They used to fall for it every time.

FIFY.

I knew for years that the GOP was useless at best, and the country was probably irretrievably lost. But I had a faint glimmer of hope that Trump might turn things around. Unsurprisingly, that did not come to pass.

But, by 2018, I was happy about it: "the masks are off," I said, "and now people can see the corruption of the government and the sham of the fake two-party system."

That, too, was false hope. Most of the people that should have seen that didn't see it. They'll go to their graves voting harder, and then they'll start voting twice.

Weight that is genetically fairly normal for the man that he is, but fat-ass for a young woman that he can never be. And if he gets to "young woman" weight he would be unhealthy as crap.

The day of the OKC bombing I had a leftist employee who came to me with news of the bombing. He said something about 'middle east terrorists' and I just looked at him and laughed.

I knew the anger that simmered over Ruby Ridge and Waco among high information people. I knew the anniversary of Waco was that day. When I mentioned the anniversary he went pale in the face. Utterly clueless that government overreach could possibly have deadly repercussions.

Bragg better play carefully. I read he has something like 1,000 employees. There are other folks out there (not me) who are quite capable of taking the law into their own hands.

NDAs don't differ much from one another. The fine details of the contract are only of concern in that case Trump won against Daniels, where he got paid for her violating it.

By "normal", people mean for common or conventional purposes. The NDA was used in a conventional fashion.

They don't mean the NDA conforms to the standard construction of NDAs(which is not important except when it is violated), though it most likely does.

That seems to be the assumption, yes - though it is an assumption. That is in the nature of NDAs. You can know they exist, but if you're not a party to the NDA you're not allowed to see it, because it contains the terms of what would violate the NDA.

That said, every NDA I have ever signed (and I have signed many) are more alike than they are different. I've never signed a sexual harassment NDA, though, so I don't know if those are typically like the technical/trade secret variety.

Uhhhh. How well constructed an NDA is doesn't matter for any sort of criminal culpability. It only matters insofar as Daniels breached it and then tried to weasel out of it.

The inherent purpose of the NDA was legal. Whether it's enforceable is not relevant to potential charges against Trump.

At any rate, since Daniels lost when Trump sued her for violating it, it was evidently enforceable.

And again, her case is not relevant to criminal charges against Trump.

Project Veritas was contacted by a lawyer for Biden. Project Veritas offered to return the property to Biden if she agreed to view it personally and confirm her ownership; Biden’s lawyer refused

In early November 2020, Project Veritas arranged for the delivery of the diary and other belongings to the Delray Beach, FL police department.

188 My take on Trump's "arrest:"

Alvin Bragg got marching orders to arraign Trump on bogus charges of "misuse of campaign funds" in the Stormy porn payoff. Bragg's not very bright, so the whole thing was created out of thin air for him. He then goes about making plans for an arrest, contacting various LE, media, etc. Trump gets wind of this even before the actual charges are filed and make his grandiose claims he's going to be arrested.

Neither guy want's to back down now. It's a comical replay of the whole DeSantis - Trump feud from a day or so ago.

Alvin has declared he's going to arrest Trump. Trump has declared he's going to be arrested. Charges haven't even been filed and there's still at least on witness to testify.

For the legal-beagles: What actions will Trump's lawyers take after he is indicted? Go to an NY States appeals court to request the charges be thrown out? Then keep going higher through NY courts, then to a Federal Court?

If all pre-trial moves fail, Trump will be convicted. I do not see a possibility of seating a Trump-impartial jury in Manhattan.

I think it might be more akin to the raid on Mar-a-Lago. Nobody at the top seems to have wanted that. Why did it take *days* for Garland to walk on stage and take credit for it? Why do we hear nothing about it now? It isn't just that they (of course) found nothing, it's because it was a humiliation they had to take credit for. I strongly suspect the days between the raid and Garland accepting responsibility for it were spent negotiated how big Garland's pay-off (political, cash, whatever) was going to be for playing fall guy.

Bragg might be working on orders from above, but who gave those orders? Were those orders given by someone in a minority faction that is trying to make a splash? Is the delay due to the junta putting the pieces in place to take the fall when it goes tits up just like Mar-a-Lago did? I dunno.

217 >>Yesterday was French Bread Day, and now Bavarian Crepe Day? WTF are we doing with “National” days to celebrate foreign foods? We should only be celebrating American foods, dammit.

Mark your calendar:
July 3 is observed as national fried clam day as it was the day the first fried clam was produced in 1916 by Lawrence Henry “Chubby” Woodman and his partner Bessie. Nobody had ever heard of a fried clam till then, and it only came off because of a comment that was made by a buyer at Woodman’s granting stand on Main Street in Essex, Massachusetts. The couple began recalling what the customer had said and decided to give it a try. They explored different recipes and got the locals to try them out, and it was only when someone found them rich that they knew they had something good.

The day was July 3, 1916. The following day, July 4, which is observed as Independence Day in the USA, Chubby and Bessie put forward their first fried clams to the residents of Essex at the time of the parade. They were an immediate success. . .

Posted by: J.J. Sefton at March 22, 2023 09:07 AM (x0n13)

258 There was a lot of discussion yesterday about Ron DeSantis as being superior to Trump. I disagree simply because he failed a major test not once but twice.

First time was when FBI raided Trump's house to supposedly recover classified documents. It took DeSantis days to react and then it was practically nothing. He was not concerned that a resident of his state, a former president to boot, was being abused by the FBI.

And now that another state's DA is threatening to indict and arrest a resident of his state, and a former president to boot, on spurious grounds and he takes days to think of a reaction. And what a reaction? He is not concerned with any extradition conditions or the justice of the charge, he just snarks.

Yeah, nah. Ron is not one of us, he is a Paul Ryan in the making.

259 I can’t take you seriously when you try to insulate Trump from his unprovoked assaults on DeSantis by acting like it’s a “both sides” Donnybrook. Trump sees it that way, because DeSantis actually winning is enough for Trump to consider it a dig.

But you’re using the same tactic the progressives use to justify open borders; “systemic failures” and other such bullshit. Trump must not be criticized at all cost.

This is one month before the 2016 election, where Obama's National Security team and DoJ were actively working to oust Trump on bogus Russia collusion charges -- thanks to lying on the FISA warrant, the FBI was actively surveilling Trump and team, with Susan Rice and others in the WH reviewing them, etc..

If we operate under the assumption that Democrat cities are hotbeds of vote fraud, filling ballot boxes with fake votes year in and year out (like was found out in the 2016 lawsuit in Michigan brought by the Green Party), why would we assume that the posted numbers about black loyalty to the Democrat Party to be accurate?

“Your companies’ decisions not to install anti-theft immobilizers as standard equipment on certain vehicles sold in the United States has caused ongoing consumer harm and undermined public safety in communities across the country. Has Cleves considered that the problem might be the "contemporary language?" "Contemporary language," of course, means "woke language" and she knows it. The language she speaks fluently and at a high level - as she must, because she's a humanities professor and they *invented* the post-modern ecclesiastical language and use it as a gate-keeping mechanism - is designed to restrict thought and prevent consideration or discussion of anything outside of the terms of that same contemporary political language.

Your language is the problem. It can't "reckon with this prior historical system" because it is designed to destroy history and remake the world according to its postmodern vision. And you know it, which is why you're doing your bit toward that goal.

The government basically is telling the manufacturers that the public isn't allowed to decide how much anti-theft gear they need to finance but the government gets to dictate it on an evolving standard.

315 >>Democrats have gotten to the ROOT of crime in Blue Cities! It's not the criminals that's the problem, but companies that ALLOW their products to be stolen!

The root of the problem is: people want cars.

They hate cars and want to eliminate them, so their goal is to make owning a car difficult -- whether it's making gas expensive, making cars expensive/scarce, allowing car thefts/vandalization common (by not enforcing these crimes), etc..

So Hyundai and Kia didn't include a feature as standard equipment. Some people chose not to equip their cars with the non-standard equipment package. The absence of the optional equipment makes the car easier to steal, and car thefts are up in all major cities.

So the blame is on the manufacturers and the government is now telling them to install that optional equipment after the fact at tremendous expense because they gave their customers a choice in the first place (and, of course, to deflect from pro-crime government policies that make car theft more appealing).

I have an elderly Jeep Cherokee. I live pretty far down on a private street and the community trash dumpster is near the entrance.

So I throw the trash bags on the roof of the car, jump in and drive down to the dumpster. One little joy from that whole experience is that I could get in without fastening a seat belt and the car would start, stay running, and not nag me with annoying voices, alarms and flashing lights.

361 It is astonishing when a liberal philosophy professor tells people, including his own daughter, not to go to university because they have become “indoctrination mills.” Many other types of professors can make a living outside universities. However, there is no real market for specialists in Kant’s transcendental deductions outside the university. With slight exceptions, philosophers have little choice but to work in universities. So, when Prof. Boghossian tells his own daughter not to go to university, he must believe that universities have become dangerously unhealthy. Although Boghossian cites Harvard, Yale and Oberlin as “non-starters”, he says that all universities have been destroyed by "woke" nonsense and should be defunded. University people, Boghossian says, "live in make-believe land."

Change "allowed to crush the presidential front-runner, the main threat to their power, with a bogus criminal case" to "allowed to rig and steal a Presidential election" and he is spot-on.

Considering this happened in 2020 (and again in 2022 related to Kari Lake in Arizona) and the Deep State was not only allowed to do this, but there have been zero consequences to anyone involved, then Tucker Carlson is correct... We're done. Because that precedent will live forever and voters will never again determine the outcome of a presidential election.

And the Deep State will continue doing it. Because (1) it has been massively successful and (2) no one is doing anything to stop them.

They also did this in Illinois way back when Barack Obama was running for Senator. They worked to smear his opponents or get them kicked off the ballot. The Deep State has been doing this for decades locally and at the state level.

It is very disheartening to see people not wake up to this reality yet. This country crossed the rubicon years ago. The country was gone years ago. For Tucker Carlson to think President Trump getting arrested is the thing that will sink this country seems to show that he does not think rigged and stolen elections in 2020 and 2022 (not to mention the Plandemic and January 6th CIA operation and imprisonment of protesters) already did so.

379 Yep, but you claimed that an insignificant percentage of blacks would vote for trump. I consider 10%+ more than tiny insignificant percentage.

In 2016, Donald Trump increased the GOP black vote from 2012 by 25% from 989,000 to 1.23 million. This represented 8% of the total black vote, up from 6% in 2012.

In 2020, President Trump increased the GOP black vote from 2016 by 96% from 1.23 million to 2.425 million. This represented 12% of the total black vote.

That is definitely a significant percentage. That said, that is nationally. I am not sure how each state's black vote was affected as I did not document that. I have to imagine that were it not for the rigging and steal of the election, President Trump would have won in a landslide.

Posted by: Clyde Shelton at March 22, 2023 02:59 PM (Do5/p)

380 Also, the data I shared in #379 is the "official" data from a rigged and stolen election where the Deep State added likely millions (10s of millions?) of ballots for Biden to the count.

Take those millions of fraudulent ballots away and those percentages likely go up. Instead of 13% of the black vote, President Trump may have earned closer to 15-20%. We will never know the real count.
