Sunbathing Seal Cafe

irishsunset.jpg
Magic sunrise at Keem Bay on Achill Island.
by Sean O' Riordan @seanorphoto

Beautiful videos of Swiss farms.

Mama chimp goes crazy when she's reunited with her baby.

Bloodhounds fussing with each other.

"The Venice of the Alps."

Baby bronco buster.

Built ram tough.

Neat Bob Ross sort of drawing, with pens.

Saving ducklings near-frozen from the cold. Don't worry, they're reunited with Mama Duck at the end.

He's very proud of his stick!

I think these fish evolved in Springfield, near the nuclear power plant.

This owl's ability to turn its head is #triggering.

This bear don't care.

Baby elephant playing soccer.

Dumb duck is also a lucky duck.

Spooky.

Friday.

Is this real? If so, wow. If not, great CGI!

Such a hunt is not a small undertaking. The terrain is pretty rough, and you'll likely need a small string of horses, not only to help cover ground, but to pack the meat and hide out afterwards.

I had a neighbor who had a small herd. Would occasionally get rustled. They are not docile animals.

117 Buffalo and Bisone are two separate things : "It’s easy to understand why people confuse bison and buffalo. Both are large, horned, oxlike animals of the Bovidae family. There are two kinds of bison, the American bison and the European bison, and two forms of buffalo, water buffalo and Cape buffalo. However, it’s not difficult to distinguish between them, especially if you focus on the three H’s: home, hump, and horns."

Had just stopped at the Logan Pass Visitor Center and got back on Going-to-the-Sun Road when I spotted one not 10 feet off the road. J slowed down as much as possible, I managed to fish the phone out of my pocket in time to take one blurry photo of the whole sheep - looking right at me - and one perfectly focused shot of the south end of a northbound sheep.

Also saw a grizzly - from a distance, which suited me fine. I was absolutely terrified of encountering one on the trail, but I didn't.

One of my roomies at THE OSU was from the mighty Zanesburg.

It truly had to be experienced to fully appreciate it. Among other things, they had (may still have) a performing dance troupe called the Devilettes that performed at may HS football halftime shows and parades. Imagine girls from 6 to 26 all made up and stuffed into dance outfits. I can't even. . .

I have a record I bought about a million years ago, that is called "The Fantasy Filmworld of Bernard Herrman", that has the soundtrack to 'Fahrenheit 451', 'The Day the Earth Stood Still', 'Journey to the Center of the Earth' and 'The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad'.

Bernard Herrman scored a lot of Alfred Hitchcock movies (especially 'North by Northwest'), and actually makes a cameo of himself in "The Man Who Knew Too Much".

389 I'd forgotten about it, but I experienced something similar with google reviews. I ate at a BBQ restaurant when visiting another state, and where I sat I could see that the smoke that was supposed to be coming out of the restaurant was just a small walmart grill out back burning wood to create smoke. Nothing at all was happening inside. They were probably taking the food out of Cisco buckets.

I took a photo of the grill and the smokestack routed into the building and posted an honest review.

It disappeared in a week.

392 >388 I had a houseguest board a plane out of here, so I'm bumping music tonight. I haven't listened to this song since I was smoking a cigarette on Wadsworth & Jewell maybe 5 years back. When I still smoked.

IOW - don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

I ran outta gas. I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from outta town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake, a terrible flood, locusts! It wasn't my fault! I swear to God!

398 I wrote a review for a Ball of Twine on Amazon and it is still up. It began " This was one of the most amazing purchases I have ever made - Ball of Twine has changed my life!"

Easily my most popular review.

9PM in the Real America time zone.

Last night he got busy talking with a client. I assume he's probably following through on the job.
