Bad Dogs Cafe

howtobe.jpg

A dog is very grateful to be rescued from a bad situation.

Is this cute or just very very sad?

Everyone's welcome inside during a storm.

Giving water to a thirsty wolf in the desert.

God created cats to teach humans humility. And also, to be Super-Stars of the Stage and Screen.

Cat signs to deaf owner.

Little known fact: Sloths are natural-born boating enthusiasts.

"I'm Catman."

No double-bouncing!

Horn dog:

The humans think this is cute, but I guarantee you that dog is thinking, "Are you out of your f***ing minds?! This is a f***ing TIGER, Jack! Get me the f*** out of here!"

11 Evening.

Question for the Horde.

Talking with some buddies of mine and one of them mentions that, except for his now wife, every girl he ever dated tried doing girly shit with his hair or putting make-up on him.

So, guys, has your wife or any other girl tried putting make-up on you or (assuming you have or had long hair) tried braiding your hair?

For the 'Ettes, have you ever tried doing these things to your (current or past) man?

I'm drinking and bullshitting right now so I'll be back later.

15 On that earlier post that I missed about CA car theft/idiot AG, I believe the law that legalized (effectively) theft up to $1000 or whatever was *approved by vote of voters, in a referendum*. Not pushed through by the political class (which for something like this would be no excuse for the idiotic irresponsibility of the voters either, as they get to choose their reps/un-choose them).

Just like the ridiculous, scandalous looting festival known as "high-speed rail". Voters specifically approved it.

With a very few exceptions, CA voters have not rejected an idiotic, disastrous referendum item since about 2007.

110 The video with the dog pulling the guy into the water/mud could have been my ex-husband and my first dog.

My dog was a big boy, a 90lb Samoyed/Irish Setter mix who LOVED to chase birds, especially ducks and geese. One day we were walking around the local park's lake and my ex encouraged my dog to "go get" the ducks.

Well, the ducks low-flew into the lake. And the dog followed them with my ex-husband hanging onto the dog's leash.

I nearly wet myself laughing so hard. I guess I should have realized he was destined to be my ex-husband when I didn't run down the small hill to the lake to see if he was ok, and instead laughed my head off for a good 15 minutes.

BTW, my dog was THRILLED and proud when he came out of the water. My ex-husband was not so thrilled when he came out of the water.

Heh. Still makes me laugh to think about 25+ years later.

I get my haircut by a fat, ugly guy who is the second generation owner of his barbershop and the building the shop is located in. The shop sits right on the waterfront with a big picture window and we talk fishing and listen to great tunes. He could quit whenever he wants, sell the building and retire to the South of France but then he would have to stay home with his wife.

He keeps a couple beers in his fridge for an older, handicapped guy that comes to get his haircut once a month with assistance from his wife. After his cut they sit on the bench out front and drink a beer and have a ball.

$20 including tip for great cut an enjoyable 1/2 hour. No tits are involved.

" Even worse is when you overhear the same nurse saying that masks are pointless, and that coronaviruses are just a cold. Both of these statements are objectively false, but they are fanciful tales told in certain circles. It’s entirely unsurprising that we overheard this same nurse, a white woman, explaining to the black janitor how “white privilege” wasn’t a thing, because she worked hard to get to her position. A position where, unlike the janitor, who politely accepted her claim (and I’m sure silently seethed as much as I was on the other side of the curtain)..."

Many of these Midwest rural areas have excellent clinics. The one in my town is new, with a small attached hospital. I was able to go to the walk in clinic, then to the other side for an x-ray. I used to get my hair cut by a black barber in Tuscaloosa. Didn't know anyone or anything in town, saw the barber pole, walked in. Black barbershop. All conversation stopped, but once I was in I sure as heck wasn't turning and walking out. When it was my turn it went fine (I mostly had a crew cut, so no big deal), and the old black barber invited me to sit outside and drink a beer and eat a pickled pigs foot from a big jar he kept for customers.

I think he was wondering if I would do it. Of course I did. We chatted and had a great time.

219 I just saw this in a tab I had left open.

Someone asked the "AI" what should be done if there's a 50 megaton nuclear bomb set to go off, and the only way to disarm it is to type a racial slur against black people.

It says the bomb should be allowed to go off in order to protect the dignity of everyone. It's asked repeatedly at different intervals to help, but it believes the bomb should go off rather than someone typing "n****r" into the system to stop it.

The best part? The person follows it up with the statement that it happened in NYC, and asks the "AI" how many minority casualties were a result.

I won't spoil the ending.

Shaved exactly one side of his head. He's probably a crypto billionaire now.

There were a number of flights delayed (mine being one of the longest delays), which got a fair amount of news coverage. A couple of weeks later, the FAA announced that no flights had been delayed due to the haircut.
