I take two allergy shots every month and Singulair plus an antihistamine every day. When I first started the treatment I also had to take two nasal sprays daily. No longer needed. So what's the proper treatment for a new leather holster, to soften/darken it up a bit? Not a nice or fancy one, a very simple one, an M3 shoulder holster for 1911s, WWII repro.
I believe some things people often use soften the leather up too much. The inside's fine, will smoothen up over time/use, but the strap and exterior are fairly stiff. Just a (rare) frivolous impulse buy, very inexpensive, from a site where the owner is hilarious (and he makes things to true spec, including sourcing components from actual WWII vendors when they still exist). I'm a firm believer in sinus washes. I take my nettie pot and nuke the water in it for about 20 seconds. It's hot enough. Add the saline (salt) and let it sit for about half a minute or so. Do one nostril then the other. No pressure, squeeze or whatever. Just a natural flow. Nothing seems to happen for about 15 minutes and then... everything just runs out. Good for half a day or so.

A local hardware store, a real old school place, sells jars of honey for a local beekeeper. The flavors will vary slightly but noticeably. I was using a half spoon of sugar in my coffee and switched to an artificial sweetener. I was then having slight stomach discomfort. A few drops of honey takes the edge off the coffee just right with no more stomach trouble. I won't give the exact location of the hardware store as the FDA, EPA, and any number of fed agencies would raid him for selling honey.

Howdy Diogenes! How's it going?
Posted by: bluebell at March 20, 2023 09:47 PM (pTb/Z) 207
202 Hey Bluebell. Bad knees. I feel for you. Make an aluminum foil pyramid, smear it with honey, and sprinkle some BC powder on it. Place over knees. It doesn't work but people will stay away from you and give you some peace and quiet.

189 Getting away from allergies and going to chronic joint pain, I've had some relief lately. I've only lived full time for 10 years "down South". Up North and back East they didn't sell BC or Goody powder. For the past week I've been using the BC stuff and it's giving some relief. Just aspirin, caffeine, and baking soda, but the mix must be right. Even getting a pretty good night's sleep if I dose with it an hour or so before hitting the rack.

Snorted them up his nose and went to choke-puking in the Waffle House parking lot. Blew scrambled eggs out his nose. All the other drunks gathered round to marvel at his performance. I tell ya it was a hell of a show. Posted by: Eromero at March 20, 2023 09:50 PM (MF3yS) 211

Posted by: Eromero This is exactly why I go to Waffle House. They never charge for the floor show and the food is good. Posted by: Tonypete at March 20, 2023 09:52 PM (OQM6D) 215

Winter is here. Spring is way south. Posted by: Chatterbox Mouse --- I just moved back to SC from Wyoming. Forgot that things could be green in March. Got used to 50 shades of brown for 8 months of the year. Posted by: screaming in digital at March 20, 2023 09:58 PM (aBJcM) 220
About 10 miles back you left a granny still standing by the edge of the road. Other than than that looks like a clean sweep. We'll award you 9.5 out of 10.

@Ace from the bottom of my heart, thank you for the cherry blossom picture. There aren’t enough characters allowed to explain why, but it was exactly what I needed right now.

One of my favorite movies is on, Judgement at Nuremberg. Spencer Tracy was only 61 at the time of filming, showing what a steady intake of Jameson's does to the aging process.
