They're calling themselves "Reagan Conservatives," Dave. And you know how hard Reagan fought for unrestricted medical amputations for children to "change their genders." Why, it was almost Reagan's 11th Commandment!

So what's going on here?

Well, obviously: None of these people are even marginally employable outside the comfortable ecosystem of paid political propaganda.

When they decided to make war on the Republican Party and conservatives, obviously, they could not again work for any conservative outlet.

So they all took money from Pierre Omidyar and George Soros and begin writing leftwing propaganda. At first they pretended this leftwing propaganda was "from a conservative point of view," but over time, they have abandoned this pretense and now are just typical leftwing turncoat buckrakers, like their hero, David Brock.

With whom they obviously share quite a few donors, of course.

They started writing this way because it's what their new paymasters demanded. But it was also liberating for them, because they were always the most leftwing "conservatives" in existence; they were the "conservatives" who already branded themselves as The Conservative Always Eager to Call Out and #Cancel Other Conservatives.

And now that their paymasters demand they adopt wholesale the left's weird pagan deification of gays and transgenders, they find it a happy convergence between their always-existing social liberalism and the financial necessity of playing the tune that their paymasters are calling.

You'll note, of course, that this wasn't about Trump; they are calling Ron DeSantis a fascist as much as they ever called Trump that.

They just have always hated the actual conservatives in the Republican Party, and have always French-kissed the left's ass in hopes of being accepted by their Very Good Leftwing DC Cocktail Party Friends.

And now, they are finally freed from the obligation of having to even pretend to be anything other than left-liberals who cannot bear even the smell of genuine conservatives.

But they're heroes, you know. They abandoned a despised political minority to align themselves with the monied and media-controlling political hegemony and they're extremely brave for having done so. Just ask them!

* By the way, Dave also has a podcast, also named Late Republic Nonsense. The name refers to the period of degeneracy, lunacy, and unseriousness that attends every republic in its dying days. In its late period.

I'm glad I'm not a kid right now. When I was little, one of the toys a liked was a little toy vacuum cleaner. I didn't think of it as a "girl toy" (though it was), but I liked playing with it because it had moving parts. You push it along the floor and little colored balls would bounce around under a clear plastic dome.

But it was a toy vacuum cleaner, and vacuum cleaners are associated with traditionally female gender roles (yeah, just ignore problem with this vis-a-vis feminism - it doesn't matter). This same thing happening today would probably make some preschool or kindergarten teacher assume that I was a little girl stuck in a little boy's body, and start destroying me.

I would disagree. Agnosticism is where one due to inability to prove in a material way, is uncertain that a Creator exists. That is the more honest position. Atheism posits that a Creator does not exist but that is as much belief as those that do believe. You cannot use the materialism and nature as a mechanism to prove or disprove the supernatural non-material. It is a belief based on root axioms just as much as Christianity or any faith is.

Actually, it is a territorial dispute. That region has belonged to Russia multiple times throughout history, and has a majority Russian population. When the Uke government started to discriminate against Russians, literally outlawing their language on radio, TV, or in Government documents... they rebelled.

Think Republic of Texas... who wants to join the US... but Mexico suddenly has the backing of all the European Powers...

Actually, it is a territorial dispute. That region has belonged to Russia multiple times throughout history, and has a majority Russian population. When the Uke government started to discriminate against Russians, literally outlawing their language on radio, TV, or in Government documents... they rebelled.

Think Republic of Texas... who wants to join the US... but Mexico suddenly has the backing of all the European Powers...

We have two countries that claim the same territory.. that is by definition, a territorial dispute.

The logistics alone on ammo and other matters would simply be unsustainable. In fact, Russia seems to be emptying Nork of its artillery shells for use in Ukraine.

Simply put, the most likely occurrence is quagmire continues to exist because neither Russia nor Ukraine are capable of fighting a war of movement without air supremacy. Drones and missiles simply will not do the trick yet even in swarms.

War can't come so long as Ukraine stays free of Russian control and Belarus doesn't go along with Russian invasion plans. Poland doesn't currently share a border with Russia, and it's only neighbor that's a Russian ally seems unwilling get involved in any fighting. So unless Ukraine completely collapses over the next few months, the Poles should be fine.
