It has 10Gb WAN and LAN ports - though only one of each - and four gigabit ports for some reason. It's really time for 2.5Gb to become standard on all but low-end equipment, certainly on switches and routers.

WiFi bandwidth is a theoretical 19Gbps, but of course that's divided among all the devices on the network.

The ONT story about Tilda Swinton stating in Austin, TX, that she would not wear a face diaper when she goes to Ireland -- very cheering. She says she's super healthy, but to me she has always looked kind of weedy and drawn, as if she hasn't been eating right for years. Still, a nice thing to hear from a Hollywood celeb.

The knucklehead I spoke of yesterday was in extra irritating mode and decided it was his job to try to trick up the instructor, spoiler alert, he didn't.

I think he was showing off for the retired woman Navy student that was there for renewal class.

On the radio last night there was a piece about insiders at both Meta and Google are saying both companies have been doing defensive hiring - that they were hiring people they don't need because they didn't want those people to go to the other company. So they've had very well paid people essentially sitting around not doing much.

Apple is the only sane company in the bunch. They're not laying off people by the thousands because they didn't staff up to ridiculous levels assuming people would be stuck at home forever.

The septum piercing has become normalized for young women. I have no idea why - it prompts a disgust response in me. But I have extended family members with piercings who are otherwise normal and it seems to be prevalent in early 20s women I run across when I'm out and about.

In theory yes. But they went 'woke' and insist on diversity now. So if now I want to listen to 90% White musicians and 10% Black, they've inverted that ratio. For equity or some such shit.

So I constantly have to stop what I'm doing and skip to the next song. Believe it or not, YouTube, not every Black musician appeals to a person of pallor.

We need to get her started soon. My colleague's last day is 3/23, and her replacement, whoever my boss picks, will no doubt have to give 2 weeks' notice. Maybe she could start 3/31.

The amazing thing is that the office gave me a day's notice, so I could arrange for the cats. So far, so good. I need to corner them and make sure I can take the cost of the emergency plumber off my April rent. As I pointed out to them in my letter (which I know they got), I saved *them* an enormous amount of money and trouble by heading off the flood.

Four was the only thing I could think, looking at the keyboard. Unfortunately, I do not have too much advice where sleep is concerned. Staying on a schedule helps. Maybe throw in some exercise. This latest go around with keto seems to be improving the sleep I DO get.

I give about $100/week. The rest of my 10% goes to my kids school. I figure they have more influence in my kids spiritual growth than a church sunday school which only sees them 1hr/week.

a recent system upgrade took away my ability to switch the default view of Font Book. seems like a small thing, but now it defaults to showing pretty pictures of all your fonts on startup, instead of how I had it, which was a text list. I have 10,000 fonts (not all are active) probably. so now my nice easy quick startup process takes a few minutes to process all those pretty pictures.
