Creepy: AI robot is "cute," and plays to audience reaction to create an emotional response. So AI robots are soulless objects being programmed to manipulate humans. Like actors and "news" anchors.

Probably not for a while, it would be a period of very tough economic instability, but in a year or two it would work its self out and by 5 years be running fine again.

Reading last thread, someone mentioned the mRNA contamination, truncated or otherwise erroneous mRNA pieces in the Pfizer(spit) and Moderna injectable products.

Well, that's not all. There is also DNA contamination in the form of plasmids. This is from the manufacturing process, and should not have been in the final product.

When I think of the Medicis or Romanovs or Hapsburgs or Bourbons, I think of amoral, power-crazed, often infirm psychopaths. Treacherous, avaricious intriguers, prone to dissipation and excesses of all varieties. IOW, much like our own ruling class.

But at least they bequeathed many of Western Civ's most outstanding cultural achievements. The Sistine Chapel, Swan Lake, the 9th Symphony, and Versailles, to name a few.

What hath ours wrought? From our decadent, criminal aristocracy, we got Billie Eilish, Marvel movies, and huge amounts of hideous architecture. What a gyp.

There was a 'ledge' below the ferry's bridge, and I was sitting on it, admiring the view. Above me, the American flag was standing straight out toward the stern, with some flutter, showcasing the beautiful reds and blues as the sun shown through it.

A bald eagle soared in, and took station about 25 feet above the flag. Its colors were also magnificent, due to the lighting. I could only look up and appreciate. It was one of about 3 photographs I truly regret not being able to take.

The most concerned I've ever ben around wild animals was sneaking up on a moose in the Firehole River in Yellowstone. He didn't spot me and kept grazing. Upstream however, a family was out of their car, kids, mom and dad all pointing and yelling at another moose who was unhappy about the noise. I beat it back to my car because I didn't want to witness the potential carnage.

The Star Wars books and video games tended to do that too, it was never as simple as squeaky-clean heroic freedom fighters taking down an evil empire. The really subversive stuff actually took the Empire's side of things, casting them as a vicious but stabilizing force in a galaxy full of corrupt space gangsters and provincial demagogues in an effort to explain why all those redshirts signed up for the gig.

Which is probably one of the reasons the EU canon got squatted by Woke Disney.

First, there's too many popping up and they last too long rather than rotting away, but second they would be dead easy to trap and kill. 250 >>An open Lyme disease invitation.

Lyme Disease is named for the town of Lyme, CT where it was first diagnosed. For many years some speculated the source was Plum Island Research Center which is right across Long Island Sound. It was speculated by some crazies that the disease was the result of screwing around with viruses.

Doesn't sound as crazy these days.

Once I get to lengths under 3 feet, I should be done with splicing. I used a router to make a lap joint on the ends of the two pieces to be spliced, and then glue and screws to join them.

Many moons ago when I was in college I was throwing a frisbee with some of my friends in a field behind the dorms. One of my friends threw the frisbee to me and it went over my head. Turned around to see a huge, full grown bull standing about 30 feet behind. He just sauntered out of the woods and was apparently watching us.

I just slowly walked backwards until I felt comfortable enough to turn and run. When I got a long way away I turned and looked and he was just standing there looking at me as if to say "What?".

Easy to say when you are 8 feet tall with rack that would make a porn queen blush.

320 Here's the thing that I don't understand about climate change alarmism. If we are, indeed, a mere 5 years from a catastrophic end to humanity due to fossil fuel use, then it's too late. We could stop using fossil fuels right now and we're screwed.

So why bother stopping? Why not spend out time, money, and effort on preparing for the apocalypse as best we can, rather than hamstringing ourselves by thrusting ourselves back into the middle ages, technologically?

If we're too late, if we've already reached the tipping point, then let's stop worrying about CO2 and start trying to figure out how to survive the apocalypse?

This, more than anything, leads me to believe that this is more about power than an actual coming apocalypse.
