Abortion, Euthanasia, Denial of Medical Care...It's The Left's Hatred Of Humanity, And It Is Just Getting Worse

His name is Michael Hugo, and he is a modern version of Adolf Eichmann. His "misstatements" were that it makes more sense to abort babies with various health issues because it costs so much to care for them. And the various pro-life organizations were doing a disservice to society because they were misinforming people of...you know...the humanity inherent in every human being!

How dare they!

Framingham Democratic official steps down after backlash over comments about children with special needs

The controversy stems from a letter submitted to the City Council on Feb. 6 in support of a proclamation affirming state law that protects abortion access and warns against crisis pregnancy centers, organizations known for trying to dissuade women from having abortions.

State officials have warned that the centers often provide inaccurate information about abortion risks and have staff who are unqualified to perform ultrasounds and provide flawed or misleading results.

That could lead to more children being born with physical and cognitive disabilities, Hugo suggested in the letter. That would ultimately cost the town, and thus taxpayers, more money, he wrote.

“Is the state going to cover the costs of special education for a down’s syndrome affected child?” Hugo wrote. “How much does Framingham’s Public School Department pay for unreimbursed special needs school transportation, specialized education and durable supplies?”

When the City Council discussed the measure at its Feb. 7 meeting, Hugo elaborated on his concerns.

“Our fear is that if an unqualified stenographer misdiagnoses a heart defect, an organ defect, spina bifida or an encephalopathic defect, that becomes a very local issue because our school budget will have to absorb the cost of a child in special education, supplying lots and lots of special services to children who were born with the defect,” Hugo said according to a video recording of the meeting posted on Facebook.

Fine. Let us extrapolate that charming valuation of the human soul, and calculate the societal costs of a certain segment of ghetto youth, who the data say are far more apt to cost society a huge amount of money for the crimes they commit, the policing necessary to combat their antisocial behavior, their incarceration, etc.

let's start a program of proactively aborting them to save a huge amount of money!

Oh...wait...that's what the left has been doing for the past 50 years, ably supported by the grand dame of eugenics and baby murder: Margaret Sanger.

*Several years ago I walked into a small store to pick up something I had ordered. As I walked in I noticed a woman carrying a toddler, who was laughing with that particularly sweet and carefree tone that only a young child can generate. I have no idea what she was laughing about, but her mother was grinning and chuckling too. It was a small but beautiful moment, and it made my day.

When I walked out of the store I noticed a parked car with the bumper sticker: "My Homies Have More Chromies."

Yes; this beautiful, sweet, happy child had Down Syndrome. In 30 seconds she had more of a salutary effect on me and the world than Michael Hugo will have in his entire life.

So who should be aborted?

[Hat Tip: RedMIndBlueState]

*I have probably told this story before, but it makes me smile whenever I think about it.

2 Fun fact: Margaret Sanger hated abortion. That is why she founded Planned Parenthood.

But it's so necessary to both sides to believe she championed it, her true feelings are never publicized).

From Wiki (though you can find her actual words opposing abortion with a little effort, I don't have them handy):

"Sanger drew a sharp distinction between birth control and abortion, and was opposed to abortions throughout the bulk of her professional career, declining to participate in them as a nurse."

6 "Keep in mind these people are largely restrained or constrained by constitutional law and fear of media exposure."

The former assumes facts not in evidence. The Constitution is no bulwark.

The latter is only true as long as they haven't convinced the public they're right. Gramsci chuckles.

Her philosophy was vile enough without being a champion of abortion. And her stance was that birth control was much better than abortion, and that if society had unfettered access to one, it wouldn't need the other.

14 DU discussed an article about China's low birth rate...spoiler alert, DU is all for it!

"If they want more babies, they need to let us start families on our own terms instead of pushing us into an old-fashioned one-size-fits-all model that requires women to abandon careers and dreams,” she said.

“I will not give up my life to start a family.”

Too many cultures developed the idea that somehow, women and children were property and women's work was only inside the house, while men's work was outside.

Our planet hardly needs more humans.

China could do with a shrinking population. a billion + people isn't enough? maybe they should consider immigration!

19 After the commiecrats caught the Colorado GOP flat footed with a last minute ad blitz for the Sec. of State that succeeded and got a Soros Byotch installed there was a state ballot issue (citizen petition) to restrict abortion to 'only' the first 5 months the next election. MS Griswold did her duty to Soros and Baal and the state had unprecedented 70% ballots (by mail or drop off) turned in and the 'limit sacrifice to Baal' issue was defeated by 10 points with Biden also having a 10 point spread. They didn't care so deeply about other issues and races, I think a lot of those extra ballots were only marked for Biden and against the mild abortion restriction.

Thank you idiot voters who swallowed Jenna's "brave story, of overcoming childhood poverty to fight for rights for all" hook line and sinker. Thanks a bunch.

“I will not give up my life to start a family.” I cannot begin to tell you how many depressed 40yo women believed that. Now all the fun is lost to age, and in many cases that "I don't want kids" husband changed his mind, and has a new fertile wife.

Now when it comes to abortion, I really don't like letting male pressure, be it a boyfriend or a Mike Bloomberg type employer off the hook.

And yet she's constantly portrayed as a champion of abortion. "...I assert that the hundreds of thousands of abortions performed in America each year are a disgrace to civilization."

||And her stance was that birth control was much better than abortion, and that if society had unfettered access to one, it wouldn't need the other.

She denounced abortion quite vociferously, according to her official biography (1955). "Abortions! Here was the most cruel and colossal waste, the sapping of the strength of motherhood."

But after the idiots fell for the Soros ad blitz for Griswold she turned off the signature verification or made it so loose as to be turned off and the Dems can submit ballots for registered voters who don't vote. With Motor Voter automatic registration when getting a DL that is a huge pool of election skippers that the Ds can tap to vote the commiecrat way. It is horrible.

Fun Uber ride earlier today. Local dude who was driving asked if where I lived was Biden country. I said "not hardly". Then he started bad mouthing Trump. He then said that I'm right but Biden seems like a nice man. I quickly countered that he is FAR from a nice man -- he's a corrupt leftist weasel who is in China's and Ukraine's pockets and that he and his handlers have done more to destroy America in 2 years than even the most corrupt dictator could ever dream of doing.

Ride got awfully quiet from there -- lol!!

Posted by: polynikes at March 05, 2023 12:36 PM (OY44N)

55 Years ago I was debating at a university, and somehow Sanger was discussed. I did a modicum of research and lifted her statements verbatim from her books.

It was like a bomb went off. It was a curious thing, and I got a glimpse into the modern leftist cancel culture, and their iron grip on information. One criticism I got, was that I shouldn't read what she wrote, what I really needed to do was read what somebody else wrote about her, and she'll 'splain what she "really meant" or something.

I allowed that first or primary sources, direct from the horse's mouth are the gold standard, and they get all squirrely and start talkin' bullshit.

Another class, I was admonished after class because I took a different take on the meaning of a poem or story "Balloon Man" iirc. The "correct" interpretation was that the balloon man was a pedophile. I more or less wrote "What the fuck is wrong with you people" and noted that the author had committed suicide. "You've been doing outside research, haven't you!!"

Yes, and that is a defining characteristic of destructive cults. They don't allow contact or information that doesn't comport with Doctrine or the Narrative.

Most of her distaste of abortion was due to the damage it caused to the bodies of the mothers. Obviously abortion was much less popular a concept when women had a significantly higher risk of death or severe injury from it. That's why her organization went on to agitate so much that they were making abortions "safe" as surgical techniques changed.

Now look at the Food Pyramid (which was a crime against diet).

Now look at the elites wanting to go after the meat supply.

It starts to look like a pattern, doesn't it?

The last home game of the season the coach had him suit up and start. They set up a play and he drilled a three-pointer. At home he shoots baskets for hours so this really wasn't a surprise. The best part was as he ran to the other end of the court to set up on defense, the first guy to high five him was one of the opposing players. Very cool.

Mar 1.
Situation cleared considerably. Still cloudy. Quietest day we have had in three weeks. Apparently both sides pretty well tired out. Col Lemley came to S-3 here at VI Corps so the Brig is practically dissolved.

Mar 2
Another counter preparation about half the size of the first one. This time Gerry was not in strength and he finally hit with very little force on the 3d Div sector. Quickly taken care of with no loss of position. This was an all out bombing day and our planes came winging over continuously. I don’t see how Gerry takes it. The Luftwaffe is practically nil while our planes take a terrific toll of his trucks, equipment, guns and personnel. When we start he should crack wide open.

171 Muldoon, thanks for the diary entry.

I'll toss in the log entry for the B-26 pilot (394th Bomb Group/Medium) for March 6, 1945.

"Mission no. 42. Target was an ammunition dump in the town of Siegburg - 13m S.E. of Cologne. P.F.F. Yanks took Cologne today - dropped incendiaries. Duration: 4:00"

And Muldoon I've been listening to stuff with James Holland recently, he's doing another Italy book, and the discussions of Anzio, Mark Clark, Rome, etc. have been very interesting. Holland dissents from the near universal conventional wisdom on all of that, and his evidence (the actual historical facts) seem to back him up.

Posted by: Way, Way Downriver

*******

Partly due to interwar long range planning, partly due to VI Corps atAnzio being short changed on personnel and materiel initially, due to shortage of landing craft which were mostly allocated to England in the run up to Normandy.

Our 8-inch guns (not howitzers) outranged the German 170s, but did not make it through the development pipeline and production by the time of the Anzio landings. The first 8-inch guns did not arrive at Anzio until the end of March or beginning of April.

Special ed kids seldom have a single problem, it's often a smorgasbord of issues including dysfunctional parents who are either "helicopter", divorced, or detached because of their own problems (drugs, alcohol etc.)

Teasing all this stuff apart (i.e. reverse engineering) isn't a trivial task, and each kid has to be taught differently. She retired last year, but will run into former kids every once in a while smiling and giving her bear hugs.

195 Muldoon one of the key themes Holland emphasizes throughout his writings on Italy, correctly, is the resource problem. Especially shipping, and landing craft. This was actually the key resource constraint in the global Allied effort, as another book (forget which, at the moment) detailed pretty well, looking at inter-theater competition for these resources (of course Pacific vs. European theaters, but also intra-theater, the key one being Med vs. Normandy).

At every point in the campaign after Sicily, the Allies in Italy were constrained by shipping and manpower issues. Which on top of the weather, and the terrain, and the competent use of same by the Germans, led to .... what happened.

239 For those who have no belief in any God and who have a purely utilitarian view of human life, exterminating the weak and the sick - and also any unwanted extras - makes perfect sense.

240 Did you ask her to leave your house then or simply not invite her again?

This sister in law married the Golden Son, The One Who Could Do No Wrong, and this was at a family gathering with my mother in law etc all in attendance. The room went totally quiet for a minute, and I was really, totally speechless (which is odd for me.) Then I said, well, he was wanted. And left the room. I honestly don't know what would have happened if I had said what I SHOULD have said, so maybe that's why the Lord rendered me speechless.

241 >>> 228 Helena, the book was a fantasy on a reset.
It is quite good, and what I carried away was the ease with which it took place from the top down, not the form it took.
Posted by: barbarausa at March 05, 2023 01:57 PM (uAuXI)

Heh. I remember it as having been around for a while so I don't think the author necessarily had some sekrit knowledge so much as she could see the problems with centralization as much as anyone who is paying attention.

But now we have some psycho asshoes using the term "Reset"; why wouldn't they try something along those lines? And it's not much of stretch from CCP-style social credit to confiscation. So much easier than trying to collect after passing pesky laws like the Germans did in the 1930s... it's an emergency, yo, we has to confiscate stuff *now*! The ease is built in to the whole top-down organization of things.

242 Popped up in my "Memories" from this day 14 years ago. This attitude seems to be dying with Boomers and Gen-X. Not sure the entitlement generations of Millennials or Gen-Z share this attitude at all.

I will be damned if I ever ask another American to bail us out of our situation or to help us with our mortgage.

I should have better diversified my 401(k). My husband should not have become so dependent upon the growth in the area. We are ultimately responsible for the mess we are in. If my husband and I have to live in his pick-up and get ready for work at the community gym, so be it. If we lose our jobs, we will move in with his mother, and he will hunt and I will garden. We have never been on unemployment, welfare, nor other assistance. We are Americans. Our ancestors fought in the American Revolution, the Civil War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War and his brother fought in Vietnam. Our family has faced tougher foes than this economy and Barak Obama. We will do as True Americans do; we will not whine, we will persevere.

243 The Dems will be happy to make abortion a central point in the election of 2024
Generally only about 37% of Americans wish to make abortion illegal.

It is legal in Israel. They wrote the Bible. It is in fact authorized to be done in the Bible. Look up " Trial by bitter herbs"
Historically a fetus did not become a human with a soul until the quickening, the yaking if it's first breath was when the soul entered the body.
But of course most people who actually have read the Bible do already know that
BIG GOVERNMENT should control all aspects of our sexuality they know what is best for us ?

245 Helena, perhaps I misused reset, as I did not mean the capitalized Schwab project, but the action taken to set the ball rolling in the book.
Yes, she did see what was happening, and it is happening faster and harder now, IMO.
Most of what the braindead see are the red dresses, and the opportunity to feeeeeeellll so righteously victimized in them.

248 A few years ago I had to run into a mall to get things. On the way in was a teacher with a few special needs children all holding onto a rope. I didn't want to get in their way so I paused to let them go by. They were so excited, but then a child noticed a manhole, and they all had to stop and trace the manhole cover with their fingers! That day has stayed with me all these years. We don't realize or appreciate the amazing things all around us.;

249 "The handicapped people of this world are there for us to help, so that we may be blessed in return. They aren't defective livestock to be coldly culled from the herd, nor are they inconvenient limits on selfish living to be disposed of like a used tissue."

Thanks for this. The rest of us fortunate ones are one random car or other accident, one sad medical diagnosis, or simply the accumulation of many years from being what we label as handicapped.

A bit of humility and grace are not bad thngs to have.

250 barbarausa, you are a good wife. It must be a burden to keep that terrible story from your husband. It is kind, and right, to spare him. May your strength and love be blessed!
And, one more congratulations to SharkMan!

251 I spent my career working with children and adults with developmental delays, learning disabilities, and various genetic differences as a speech pathologist. Rahm Emmanuel's brother, the doctor, is a huge proponent of killing special needs babies and children and the disabled. He always has the ear of the Democrats and helps form health policy for our country. But it's even worse than that. Having worked the majority of the time in public schools, I know first hand of many administrators and more than a few teachers who deeply resent students with special needs and the specialists who work with them. Why? Because more and more of the money in education is being spent to help the increasing numbers of these children, rather than going for general education staffing and programs. They resent these precious children and the administration in many school districts does their best to keep them from getting the services that are required under federal law, through various programs used to keep them from even being evaluated. A person with Downs Syndrome or a baby or child with this diagnosis is now extremely rare, because evil doctors have push abortion.
